I’m rating Fiddlecakes with three stars because of the good follow-up on initially poor service. A new employee was in training and lost my order. My friends received their drinks in a timely manner and the coffees were all of average quality. I considered my mocha to be slightly sweeter than expected but sufficiently strong. After I mentioned I was still waiting on my two mochas(one for a friend) the manager rushed my order and gave me vouchers for two free future mochas. I consider that an acceptable compensation for an honest newbie mistake.

My wife spent Valentines week in Nashville for work and I wanted to do something for her. I found FiddleCakes online and asked them to deliver cupcakes to her hotel. They were extremely responsive via email and on the phone. They hand delivered the cupcakes and emailed me updates along the way. The even included a card! I really appreciated the quick response. My wife said the cupcakes were fantastic. Specifically the red velvet and Chocolate with fresh strawberry icing.

Love the coffee, love the food. I especially enjoy the service! The baristas are friendly and efficient. Word to the wise: DONOT tip on your credit card, if possible. Word is that the baristas don’t receive credit card tips in full(illegal, but true). If you really enjoyed your service and want your money to go where you intend, leave tips in cash :) Otherwise, it’s a friendly environment with pleasant and hard-working employees.

I think I’ll only come back here for pastries. When my mum came to visit, we decided to walk around downtown on Monday without much of a lunch plan, so when the noon hour rolled around we found ourselves starved and near Cummins Station. I ended up ordering the Opryland Salad and my mum got one of the paninis. Somehow with two drinks our total was over $ 20. UM what? Anyway it took forever for our food to come and when it did our raging appetites were satisfied by mediocre food. My salad consisted of basically cold cut sandwich meat curled neatly into the corner a few tomatoes and some cheese. As I recall my mums sandwich tasted like cheese and bread… thrilling I tell you thrilling! Anyway for what you get café-wise this place is not worth it. I cannot comment on the baked goods, but am willing to give them a try. Plus I think they offer some gluten free options. If you’re looking for lunch in downtown look elsewhere.

I had a wonderful experience with FiddleCakes Cummins. I am allergic to eggs and as the founders/owners said in a Vanderbilt article, this is a place that caters to people with food allergies. First off, I called FiddleCakes at Cummins Station because I had a Groupon to use at the 8th Ave. restaurant, but it was closed between Christmas and New Years. The Cummins Station FiddleCakes gladly accepted my Groupon. Then, I told them that I was sad they stopped making the Vegenaise Curry Chicken Salad. The guy told me that was because Vegans don’t want meat(which makes sense), but they would be happy to make up a single batch of the curry chicken salad with vegenaise just for me(since I can’t have mayonnaise). I was so excited! So I called before I went, and it was ready when I arrived. Sadly, I cannot say the 8th Avenue FiddleCakes is the same. I called there to put in my special request and they said, «sorry, we can’t do that.» I tried to talk to the person and understand why one restaurant could do that and the other couldn’t and she had really no logical explanation. For a person who cannot eat products with eggs and finding a place that boasts about catering to people with food allergies, 8th Avenue FiddleCakes, YOUFAIL. But, if you are interested in a good lunch and people who care about living up to their company’s motto, please check out FiddleCakes CUMMINSSTATION! Thanks to the wonderful staff there!

My coworkers and I were just talking about how nice it would be to have a coffee this afternoon, if only there were a place near Cummins. None of us even count Fiddlecakes as an option. I am shocked at the number of good reviews this place has. Service is beyond terrible. Rude and slow. The food is okay and takes for-freaking-ev-er. I have personally given them three chances because of the connivence factor, but they never cease to disappoint. One morning at 8:30 they didn’t even have coffee made or muffins. For a coffee shop that is only open Monday to Friday I consider that pretty poor. Another time I went in for lunch and waited for 5 long minutes for the guy behind the counter to acknowledge me(there was no one else in the place and he saw me come in). He actually never did, and he hardly responded when I tried to get his attention. Eventually I gave up and went across the street to someplace that appreciates my business. Focus group of 20+ of my co-workers vote that this place isn’t worth your time.

Fiddlecakes, you never cease to amaze me. I LOVE their coffee! Everything they brew comes combined with caffeine, flavor, and a little sprinkle of magically delicious fairy dust. If I go back one more time without getting that snickerdoodle that looks so chewy and nom noms, I might burst at the seams. And now that boyfriend works in that building, I know it’s going to be trouble for my caffeine obsession. Parking isn’t fantastic in the area, but it’s so worth it! And the people that work at this location are super friendly and talkative(in a good way). I sat there working all morning last week, and thoroughly enjoyed eavesdropping on all of their conversations with each other and the customers. Every person that walked into FiddleCakes that morning walked out with a smile on their faces. Now that’s what I’m talkin’ about!

So, the service is a little droopy, mostly because the new people are inexperienced and aren’t quite sure what they’re doing. And the caffè & dainties are not as inexpensive as previously encountered. A small coffee and a tasty treat will set you back somewhere in the $ 7s. The egg casserole sandwich is pretty awesome as a breakfast. I haven’t sampled all the little caged sweeties, but I’ve liked everything I’ve eaten.

I had a two-week training in downtown Nashville so I was here a couple of times during my stay. Kudos to them for vegan options! For lunch I had the curry tofu sandwich(tofu, veganaise, carrots, red onions, craisens, celery, curry, and lettuce). All I have to say is: NOMNOMNOM! It was delicious. I also had a coffee freeze made with soy milk, and while it was good, I could tell that the soy milk they were using had a lot of added sugar in it. I felt like I was drinking a milkshake! I also went here for«breakfast» one morning. I put breakfast in quotations because they did not have any vegan muffins available when I went, so I ended up getting a soy latte and a vegan cookie. Don’t judge. The cookie was a chocolate pecan combination and ITWASAMAZING! It was one of the best cookies I have ever had, let alone a vegan cookie. Yummy. It’s probably a good thing that I don’t live near here because I could easily gain 5 pounds eating their food. It’s delicious!

FiddleCakes makes a mean soy latte and chai latte! Just writing that sentence is making me want a delicious beverage from these coffee masters. I have yet to try any of the food here, but everything looks delicious. I do agree that unless you work in the area, parking can be expensive and a pain in the ass. But since the service and coffee is always great, it’s sometimes worth it.

Terrible service. Completely mediocre food. Took over 20 minutes to make 2 subpar sandwiches and they got the order wrong! btw– no one was ahead of me, so it’s not like it was a busy day. also mildly over priced for what you get. I will definitely not be returning.

I didn’t think much of the original and I don’t think this much of this location. The place has a distinct case of «idontcarism.» I ordered an ice mocha and a scone. It seemed simple enough, but nothing seemed like they cared about my experience. They microwaved the scone without asking me. I don’t like my cookies warm or soft generally, and as far as I’m concerned a scone is a cookie. They didn’t ask, because if they had I’d have declined. They did not mix the mocha well, nor was it very cold. Now, I am not a fan of hot Hot HOT coffee in the winter, but in the summer(a hot summer to boot), I do ask that my cold drinks be cold. As I drank, the drink got colder, but there’s no excuse for handing over a lukewarm beverage. Also, there was a visible amount of chocolate syrup at the bottom of my cup. That means the barista really wasn’t paying attention. Everything was half-done and everything was kind of shoddy; the menu was not clear, did not have pricing, nor was all that impressive. I’ve never had their cupcakes, maybe they’re great, but I just have never been excited about the FiddleCakes experience either at this location or on 8th Ave. Back to Casablanca.

Man, they were not joking that the service takes forever. I got the coconut mocha and a cheese quiche. I was disappointed with both. Coconut mocha didn’t taste like coconut and the cheese quiche tasted like rubber.

Good food and ok coffee. Drip coffee is overpriced. But the 2 star review is due to the slowest service EVER. I thought it might have been an isolated incident, but it wasn’t. Every time was a killer. Speed it up, or forget it.

I was pumped when I saw that Fiddlecakes was opening up right across the street from where I work in Cummins Station. Hellooo new lunch place! I called and ordered my lunch, then walked over to pick it up; I love how convenient that is. However, one time my coworker and I had called to place a to-go order, and they almost didn’t take our order because they were in the middle of a «lunch rush» at about 1. While I understand the lunch rush completely, I don’t understand how you can refuse someone service because of it. We were kind of annoyed by this, but we decided just not to call during that hour anymore and just hope we reached them at a good time. The sandwiches are pretty tasty. I’ve tried both the«vanderbilt» and«little italy» paninis. I liked the little italy one the best, and will probably get that one again next time unless I want to try something new. I don’t think you can go wrong. As for breakfast foods, their muffins and scones are fantastic. The Chai lattes, delicious. I can understand how people would complain about the parking situation since most of the time, the meters are taken against Cummins. I’m glad I work here or else it would be annoying too, since parking anywhere downtown is annoying if places don’t validate. Despite this, try Fiddlecakes. It’s a delightful little place.

Love Fiddlecakes! Hate the expensive parking lot next to Fiddlecakes. Tacked on $ 6 to what was my reasonably priced lunch. Fooey. Ordered up some tea and a garden salad which were both satisfying! Was tempted by some of the vegan treats and other offerings on the menu and will definitely be back for more but will try to find more affordable parking. TIP:Great gluten-free options were also on the menu!

Holy ****. If today was any indication of the food this new location is going to be serving up, I’ve just become a FiddleCakes fan. In honor of their grand opening, they offered up trays and trays of free samplings from their menu! I’m talkin’ tomato and goat cheese pizza, vegan pizza, gluten-free pizza, bacon and cheddar scones, gluten-free cranberry bar-things, cookies and brownies. Now, it had been sitting out for a bit so it was all a bit cold and not hot out of the oven. However, it was all great. I’m getting the feeling FiddleCakes specializes in special restriction baking, with so many gluten-free and vegan options, which certainly don’t go unappreciated. I’d really like to sample all the things I DIDN’T taste today, like the coffees, the frozen coffee drinks, the cupcakes. Lord. If I run to Fiddlecakes, eat, and walk back, I’ll have burnt enough calories in order to really have a feast at Fiddlecakes and not pay for it on the scale. And I’ve got to say. thank you FiddleCakes for giving out all the free stuff today. It’s very inviting when a business gives out tastes of what they offer for no charge, and now I’m more inclined to go back and buy something!
