This place is great for souvenirs for yourself and/​or your friends!
Some of the prices can get way, way up there as high-​end art can. But as mentioned the have more affordable stuff, too. It’s good when there’s something for everyone — yay! :)

I love love Hatch. I first visited it when it was in it’s old location. I’m a crazy cat lady, so naturally my souvenir from Nashville was a print featuring the Hatch Cats.
Returning to the area to visit, I told my friend I definitely wanted to return. She showed me their new location, which is bigger and includes a tour. We didn’t do the tour, since it was easy to see all the gears and machinery through the glass window, which was enough for me. I hear that only one cat is still around, but that he still lives at the store, which made me happy. I bought another of their cat related prints, but had I not already purchased Christmas presents for loved ones, I probably would’ve picked up more prints to take home. It’s inexpensive to purchase tubes for safe transportation on the plane ride.

If you are in Nashville and looking for something fun to do, I highly recommend visiting Hatch Show Print.
For $ 15 you can do a tour which includes a lot of interesting information about the history, printing methods, and current state of the printmaking business. The guides were very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour also includes a «hands on» portion so you go home with a cute souvenir as well. It lasts about an hour and in my opinion is well worth the price.
Overall a very cool place with a lot of history and aesthetically pleasing décor as well as cool posters/​gifts available for purchase.

The resident cat scratched me whilst I was flipping through some posters! It didn’t put me off though, I love the artwork and the whole building, getting to see a bit of old world Nashville and behind the scenes. Must-​see. I brought several prints home, which due to the unusual sizes of them, are proving hard to frame. Would have preferred a bit more behind the scenes action, though I believe this may have changed since I visisted. Definitely worth a visit.

Couldn’t wait to come here! Decided to take the tour to get a behind the scenes look at what it takes to letter press. Not only does this place have so much history but the tour guides do an excellent job at answering any questions. You get the low down on the place and it’s really cool to know that they take such pride in their hand made art! The tour did a great job of informing you on history, examples of previous work, and the process of letter pressing. You are able to make your own print as well. I wish we would have been able to walk further back in the shop and explore but with a small place I understand.
The shop was well organized as well as the gallery. It was fun to see different artists on display for their Moonlightin’ show! Super cute and reasonably priced prints as well in the store. I will most certainly suggest this place to my friends! What a gem in Nashville!

Visiting Hatch Show Print was a really fun and educational experience! I am a Graphic Designer and it was really cool to show my husband how things were laid out with wood block and moveable lead type still, just like everything was, including newspapers, «back in the day!»
I was really happy that the prices of the prints were so affordable. I got several pieces as my souvenirs from our trip to Nashville. I was sad that there were no tours on the day we visited, but this will give me an excuse to return!

I took a family trip to Nashville with my family and went to Hatch Show Print. While watching them print posters a nice lady by the name of Celine Aubry approached me and asked for a favor. I drew a name out of a hat to determine who would help with design a poster with a famous artist, Jon Langford, when he came into town. Celine wrote down my information and sent me the poster and a very nice post card of their poster. She did not have to do this, but that just shows there are still good people in this world.

This ended up being a pretty cool tour. It’s short and, as a result, kind of expensive… but the information and history is pretty cool. You also get to make your own print at the end, which was kind of fun.
A lot of people seem to be hating on their move to the Country Music Hall of Fame in their reviews, but if you take the tour you understand why they did it and why it’s so exciting for the company as a whole.

I adore Hatch Show Print! This shop has moved from its original home on Broadway to a shiny new location in the Country Music Hall of Fame. When looking for something the whole family can enjoy, Hatch offers a sort of backstage look into their facility. For just $ 15 (!) you get to know the background story of one of America’s only working letterpress shops, the history of letterpress, and the chance to make your own Hatch print souvenir! The tours are at 12:30P, 2P and 3:30P daily.

Great spot. It’s right in town and gives you some insight into a style of printing that isn’t done in very many places anymore. Nice posters and other merch for sale at reasonable prices. They were printing posters when I was there and it was fascinating to see. Definitely worth a stop!

So super cool. We just so happened to be in buying a print while we were in town and got to speak with the artist. Really nice guy. Also they give tours and show how they make the prints. Lots of cool stuff to see. Stop here after the Country Music Hall of Fame because it’s in the same building.

I agree with the other reviews about this place being really cool and they have a ton of fun posters and stuff to buy. I wish we had time for the tour of the studio but we just drooled on the windows instead.
It’s worth your time to step away from the strip of bars and get a little art in your visit!

This place is my dream come true! I mean they have both letterpress printing and cats — two of my favorite things. I was sad I didn’t come here in a day the press was running, but the staff that was there told me as much as they could about the print shop and were extremely helpful.
I purchased a couple incredible posters from the shop and took a quick peek around the museum. I would absolutely recommend anyone interested in design, print, or typography to visit Hatch Show.

Really cool & unique one-​of-​a-​kind retro-​style print shop with lots of memorable goofy phrases and iconic country singer/​band prints for purchase.
I came here a bit late so the print shop was closed but then just checking out the prints on the wall was quite entertaining. This one is pretty cute which one of my colleagues bought for his wife: «Yer sweeter than candied yams dipped in honey covered in syrup with them big olé pieces of white sugar on ‘em & a dadgum cherry on top». Can’t help but put a smile on ‘yer’ face.
Great to still be able to see such types of old-​fashioned print shops that are available to the public. Good ‘ol times!

I visited the gift shop here and I was wowed by the variety and number of posters they had. There’s a lot of history to be seen through the gate separating the store from the business, too (a Patsy Cline poster!). I went crazy buying t-​shirts here.

I could spend hours here. It’s like a museum and shop in one. Located inside the (fabulous!) Omni hotel, Hatch Show is a must-​see when in Nashville. Beautiful hand screened prints for sale at a variety of price ranges. Perfect for unique souvenirs. Ask your hipster and art lover friends — those in the know may have heard of Hatch Print and demand t-​shirts be bought too. Staff is super friendly.

Bottom line– really cool «tourist» stop, even for a local.
Located in the Omni building, Hatch Show Print’s new location is awesome. You get to see the letterpressing in action, there’s an awesome gallery, and an even better gift shop with a HUGE print wall & selection of postcards/​gifts/​etc.
If you want to shop at a uniquely Nashville spot, HSP is perfect.

I love this place.
This is Nashville’s historic LetterPress shop. They moved their almost ancient printing presses from Lower Broad to building that houses the Country Music Hall of Fame and the Omni Hotel. The combination of the active presses, gift shop and gallery makes for a fun experience.
I purchased a large gallery print singed and embossed by Jim, the printer. The gallery print was made using a historic press from the 1940’s that was used to promote a certain celebrity. The man, the legend, the King of Country Music and I shared many meals when I was a teen and he was an old man. The print is meaningful to me, but it also looks incredibly cool in my house.
If you want a fun souvenir of recent concert or something historic, you can find it here. I really liked the postcards, notecards, and fun things in the store.
As a local, I think it’s grand to have this place… and it’s just down the hall from Bongo Java which makes it even better!

In terms of Nashville landmarks, this is a must see. The prices are very reasonable and you can grab a Nashville print, t-​shirt, coffee mug, or book. Plus you can see the historic printing press and when I came in on Saturday they had live music too!
If you’ve been to a show at the Ryman and forgot to grab a hatch print from the show, any leftovers that were not sold (if you are lucky, most sell out at the show) are brought back to Hatch Show Print and offered at a discount price.
Want something specific for your house, an event, or wedding? They do custom orders too.
Stop in if you are out and about on Broadway during business hours, and if you have out of towners wanting a souvenir, this is the perfect place for them! But be careful not to let the hatch print cats outside, they have two who live there :)
