What a POS. The plates use lettuce, cheddar cheese, tomatoes, banana peppers, and jalapeños. In a Mediterranean dish?! And then, the cherry on top… no tzatziki sauce, in its place… ranch dressing! Seriously? Get out of here. The prep for the chicken was pretty gross as well. He took it out of the hot pan, put it on the lid, smashed it with his tongs to break it up, and then put it on the plate. Needless to say I won’t be visiting again.

Great Greek salads. After visiting two other«Greek» food restaurants in Nashville, my loyalty to Kebab Gyros is forever bound. The portions are 2−3x that of the compitition and the service is instant. The staff are super friendly and actually talk to you when you order, they genuinely care that your food comes quickly and to your satisfaction.

I saw this got decent reviews on Unilocal and was looking for kebabs. I walk in and some dude is looking at me like I want to fight, which was really weird. I was about to leave since I didn’t quite understand what was his problem but I was pretty hungry and he turned out to be the guy serving the food. Anyway, to say the least, service here isn’t very welcoming. As for the chicken kebab, it was mediocre at best. They do give a lot so that’s a plus but otherwise, I wouldn’t go here.

Loved this place! Great chicken kabobs and very friendly staff. Some of the best falafel I’ve had in a long time. The restaurant was very clean as well. The owner gave my husband and I our drinks on the house. We will be returning. I’m disappointed to see that this place hasn’t had better reviews in the past but if you like quick Greek food that’s great quality– definitely give it a try!

Came in from Detroit and saw the reviews on Unilocal… stopped in, ate great food, and loved it! Great little local hidden gem… highly recommend.

If you want a big plate of food(for a price) you could eat here or pay the same or less and go to a buffet. I did not finish the entire plate, and it was not worth the price I paid either. I may go back some day, but it will be a long long time before I return. This is why. The place was empty when i went(at dinner time) and it did not look like much either. It was annoyingly noisy. He had some sort of nice sounding cultural music in the kitchen. I could barely hear it for the loud radio or TV or whatever it was in the dining area. I could hear both to some degree and the radio or TV was very loud and distracting. The guy with tattoos on his hand did not seem very welcoming. I let him know this was my fist time eating there and I guess he answered my questions well enough. I ordered the plate(vs the gyro sandwich) and asked if i wanted everything. I did, and he sure did pile it up. That may have been ok, but the styrofoam plate was not designed to hold that much nor make it easy to get to desired items without stuff falling off the plate. And you also use the tiny plastic forks which were not easy to eat with either. Also, when i have eaten at other gyro places, they put the meat & items inside the peta bread and not pile everything on the side. They use small peta’s there too, so making my own sandwich was difficult. The lamb tasted ok, but I am used to the places where they cut the meat off a big chunk of lamb and not pre-sliced and in a warmer. The meat tasted ok(3 stars), but the overall package was clearly a 2 star experience. I would consider eating there if it was closer to $ 5 than the $ 11 I paid(with a drink). The quality and experience is not worth the price at all. I would not recommend this to anyone and if I wanted a gyro, I would drive twice as far and try another place. Also, the title to this says«Kebab Gyros and Italian Cuisine.» I don’t know why. That is not the name of this place and there is nothing Italian about this place nor gyros. I don’t get that. The guy working there swept a little and stayed busy. A couple people came in that were regulars based on the conversations. He never came to my table to see how I liked it or said anything when I got up to get refills and never said a word when I left. Just as well. I’ll probably never return. Two stars is the best I can do on this one.

After eating a big lunch, I just wanted a great(not just good, I always want great when it comes to food), high quality, small, take-out dinner. Well, they got everything right except for the portion, which was HUGE! The chicken gyro was excellent and the tabouli was sprinkled with dressing and feta cheese — my favorite. The customer service was wonderful; and, although I did not eat in the establishment, it seemed clean and nicely appointed. I noticed the TV was playing episodes of Walking Dead so they have good taste in programming as well as food. This place earns my recommendations for locals and travelers alike.

If you are looking for good gyros, do NOT come here! Their meat is cold, they use imitation shredded cheese, no flavor in their cucumber sauce. They heat their pita bread in microwave and their hummus was dry with no flavor. Nothing was fresh. I do not recommend this place. I will NOT be back. Save your money.

Just ok but $ 5 for lamb gyro. Slightly American twist to gyro with jalapeños and cheddar cheese.

Do not visit this place if you expect a good meal or even friendly service. Go with your instincts once you see the outside of the location. Terrible food.

Another nice Mediterranean find in a strip mall. The other I found in Houston. I had a combo chicken/gyro meet platter, and grape leaf rolls. The rolls has a little too much oil or dressing on them, but the platter was very good. Gyro meat and chicken had nice flavor, and the«salad» that was thrown together on the side, while sloppy looking, was very tasty. I got the works on the salad, so lettuce, tomato, black olives, banana peppers, jalepeno, and shredded cheese. Last, he covered not just the salad, but the entire platter with ranch dressing. No wonder I liked it. All in all, I would come back, especially for the $ 13 price tag for a platter, side of grape leaf rolls, and a drink.

just stopped by this place for the first time after getting my laundry started. I went with the gyro platter and I was impressed with how much food they give you for such a reasonable cost. The platter comes with gyro, bread, rice and salad and of course dressing as well. overall I liked my experience and the amount of food that I received. I would highly recommended this place, and I will be back for seconds in the very near future.

Excellent food, had the Gyros sandwich and side order of Hummus. Basic seating but well worth a visit! Spent $ 9.34 for food and soda and was pleasantly stuffed.

2.5 Stars If you’re looking for a quick gyro lunch on a styrofoam plate for under $ 10 and are okay with a generally unclean restaurant, this place is for you. It’s near my office and I go there for lunch from time to time. I always get a gyro salad or platter. The portions are huge and the food is good, but the pita bread is the cheapest that Sysco has to offer. Meh… The food IS good, but it’s really a pretty filthy restaurant. The floors are always sticky and the tables are a bit grimy. I used the restroom once and that was a mistake… This place would be so much better if they would JUST do a deep clean and then keep it clean. And wipe down the door on the wastebaskets already… YUCK! PS They don’t take AMEX. PPS It is not the«best» anything.

Excellent affordable and authentic food. I ordered the gyro platter to go and it was a big platter very affordable and fast. I will definitely come here next time I come to Nashville

I would never expect such great middle-eastern food in this area. I enjoyed my meal. Apple maps put me in the back alley but I eventually found it. .

«Chicago Style Gyro Sandwich — Best I Ever Had» Don’t remember seeing anything Italian in there or advertised though? I’m not overall familiar with Nashville but we found this hole in the wall while driving in the downtown area. Parking was hard to find so I ended up just pulling in and getting our food to-go. They had a good variety on their menu but yes it is mostly fast-food type. Definitely not a restaurant/dining in environment. I ordered the gyro and it was delicious. Not your typical gyro. They cut the top of the pita bread and«stuff» the bread with meat and fillings of your choice. This was the best Gyro I’ve had in the South and beats a lot of them up North. This place is busy during lunch time and would not recommend eat-in. It is family owned and they were very friendly. I will definitely eat here again as long as we’re stationed at Fort Campbell.

As the only greek restaurant near my work, I have frequented Kebab Gyros and Italian Cuisine many times. First of all… how weird is it that it’s a Greek AND Italian restaurant? I’ve never tried their Italian food, so all I can speak to is their Greek food. I always order the same thing when I go to a Greek restaurant– the gyros platter with rice, and tabbouleh instead of salad. I am sort of a «tabbouleh snob,» and this tabbouleh is not up to my standards. Not flavorful enough, and not consistent! The flavor is different every time I eat here. The gyros platter is just average… the meat isnt bad, but it isn’t fantastic either. The rice is the same as everywhere else. Overall, my opinion of this place is «Meh.» It’s not amazing, but it’s an easy way to satisfy my cravings for greek food while I’m at work.

Another great Unilocal find. I love small Mom & Pop shops. This one fits the bill to a T – good food and friendly service with a smile. I stopped in here before my flight back home to Vegas. The restaurant is in a convenient location, mere minutes from Nashville Airport. My friend got a little worried as I navigated her through a bunch of chain restaurants. But soon enough, we found our destination. After giving us a sample of their meats, I decided to go with a Gyro Salad while my friend went with the Chicken Salad. Both meats were delicious and the servings were huge. We had enough left over for her to bring a lot of food home. I should mention that the pita bread that came with the salad was also delicious. This place is definitely a winner if you’re in the area.
