Kroger

This place is in the midst of a disastrous remodel. Everything is in a different place or out of stock every time we visit. No one around to help. We’ve been loyal shoppers here for over a year, but it’s just too frustrating to go there and then gave to go elsewhere to get everything they don’t have. Done. Finding a new store to shop at.

This location is an unbelievable nightmare for one very important reason: employee misconduct.
Unfortunately I was the victim of an unforgettable harassment as this Kroger location. I had just ended a shift at my work and was going about my daily Kroger stop here. A coworker and I stopped by to do our shopping when we were requested to present our ID to authorize a sale, a completely normal part of transactions in this country. Despite my continued patronage of this location one employee saw fit to accuse me of breaking the law by presenting a fake ID. Unbelievable! This same person had checked me out at the same Self-​Scan for MONTHS with the SAME ID.
This employee is best described as a large man with facial hair most likely about 5’7−5’8 in height. It didn’t end at the baseless accusation as the employee actually PLACED HIS HANDS ON ME in the checkout line. He actually pushed and squeezed my shoulder in an attempt to intimidate me. Why??? I’ve been shopping at this location for years! He continued to accuse me of unlawful presentation and actually SEIZED my private information. Who the hell trained this buffoon?! I’ve already contacted my lawyer regarding this and I’m still in shock that this actually happened to me. I’ve never been disrespected to this extent at a grocery store before.
I described the interaction and employee to my wife and sister who immediately recognized who I was talking about and compounded the situation by describing how he is completely creepy and seems to get a kick out of harassing customers.
I will not allow myself or my family to step anywhere near this Kroger as long as this type of conduct is permitted by management.

What can I tell you about Kroger that you don’t already know? I’ve been shopping at this location for the past 11 or so years and it has yet to disappoint.
In my opinion, this store is the best option of the 3 grocery stores in Nippers Corner. The Walmart Marketplace is tiny with ZERO selection, and Publix is overpriced as usual.
The best part about Kroger is the Kroger Plus card. Two reasons:
1. You automatically get a minimum of 3 cents off per gallon at Shell stations or Kroger locations with gas pumps. You accumulate points with your grocery purchases and once you hit 100 points you then get 10 cents off a gallon of gas on your next use. You can even let them build up and get up to $ 1 off a gallon. Awesome bonus with fuel prices these days.
B. The specials with the card. Unlike Publix who advertises, for example, 2 items for $ 5… at Kroger when something is 2 for $ 5, each item is $ 2.50 if you only need 1 of them. At Publix, you have to buy both to get it for $ 5. If you just try to buy 1, the price is $ 5. That blows. (I hope that explanation makes sense)
