If you don’t do this, then you’re chicken. It was an amazing experience. The staff was so friendly and informative and guided me every step of the way, and then unleashed me out onto the wide open water of relaxation. Total head clearing activity. I highly recommend it.

Neil and Cindy have been great to my wife and I! They are fun and informative about the sport and the lessons were essential to us enjoying our new KM paddleboards. I am glad we bought here so that I was able to get a board specific to my needs! Go out on a rental and catch the sup bug! Great staff!

Whether you are new or experienced, Paddle Up TN is the place to go in the Nashville area. Neil is very easy to work with and his enthusiasm for the sport shows. It is always a great experience!

AWESOME FIRST EXPERIENCE! Took my family of four (two older teens) on a first time paddle lesson with Neil. He is usually closed Tuesday’s but responded to my email immediately and accommodated us. He was a very good instructor… patient, simple instructions, made it fun for us. The facility was fine… The harbor was quiet, water was very calm, nice changing areas, little shop to hold your stuff/​get water. I would definitely try again if I’m back in the area. Nice to work directly with the owner… could tell he cares about his business and ensures you are having a good time.

I’m a fan of Paddle Up. They have a cool shop in the Rock Harbor Marina. All the employees are really nice! Paddle boarding on the river isn’t the prettiest spot in the area, but for me it’s great you don’t have to reserve boards in advance (although I’m pretty sure you can). Watch out for the current! It can get hard to paddle back depending which way you go.
Minus one star because it’s expensive. It seems to be expensive around the Nashville area in general. Sign up for the mailing list for deals!
