Becky’s Buffalo Chicken sandwich is THEBOMB. Seasoned fries are delicious. I never have room for ice cream or dessert, but Pied Piper ice cream is really good, too.

We ordered fries because of reading other review. It was soggy not crispy. Chicken salad n pot roast were fine, not spectacular. Salad didn’t have much vegetable, and the color of pot roast was not appetizing, but tasted ok. Décor was old n random.

We had the Dolly Parton and a salad with chicken. It was really good and a cute place to go have lunch.

Finally! A non-pretentious restaurant with good food and it’s affordable! A throwback to the days when a sandwich was just a sandwich and French fries weren’t called«Pomme Frites»; where you get something topped with lettuce instead of «micro-greens»; where green beans aren’t stupid«haricot verts»; where you aren’t charged 5 dollars for a non-refillable cup of coffee aka«micro-brewed» and«micro-roasted» Peruvian Organic Fair-Traded recycled medium to light roasted only, thin and bland as water served in a carafe with no lid then luke warm cup of Joe; where you can request an item to be left off or substituted and you’re not met with glares of hatred by a haughty server who flat out refuses your bold request because they are so insulted by your ignorance and the fact you have tried to assault the integrity of that burger! No. At The Pied Piper you can get a great meal for a great price with great service and be treated with respect and kindness. Amen!

Now there’s some incredibly good eats! So happy to have found this place via Unilocal! My friend and I were visiting Nashville for the first time; me from New York and her from California. We had flights to catch home later in the day and were planning on heading across the street from our hotel to a regular Cracker Barrel. As fate would have it, the store was closed for renovations and we were forced to find another brunch spot. I turned to my trusty Unilocal app and located a half-dozen breakfast joints within driving distance. Pied Piper had the best reviews and the pictures promised pure happiness. We were not disappointed! My friend has a gluten and dairy sensitivity and was still able to find a delicious(and surprisingly inexpensive) meal. She didn’t even have to settle, which is what she is used to doing given her diet restrictions. I ended up getting the same thing in fact, but I added chicken fried steak(ohhh yes). We absolutely loved it, felt like we had a more authentic local experience, and highly recommend it for locals and tourists alike.

Nice local restaurant, traditional food, I had a pot roast which was flavorful and tender, mac & cheese and mashed potatoes were standard but not bad. Prices are very reasonable. Service was friendly and efficient. I would not hesitate to eat here again!

The worst thing a business can do for its customers as well as its reputation is mess with the food. However, that’s Pied Piper’s new promise to its customers. I used to eat at Pied Piper dining in on occasion, and ordering from a service called Favor on occasion.(This service picks up your carry out order for you and delivers it to you) so that I could eat at work. However, Pied Piper no longer allows Favor orders. In fact, Pied Piper’s own employee publicly cussed out a Favor driver this week and informed him that they will«mess with the food» if they get another Favor order again. That is not only shocking but DISGUSTING. As a fellow small business owner in Nashville, I completely understand PP’s right to refuse service to anyone. That’s fair. But to threaten to mess with someone’s food is immoral as a business. This not only endangers the customer, but lets it be known how little Pied Piper respects their own food or business. Now knowing they’re not above«messing with the food», I(along with anyone I know/care about) will never be eating there again. Someone should call the local inspector about this.(And you should think twice before delving into your next PP meal about what might be inside). Never have I heard of such a gross way of handling business. Two thumbs(and one gag) down.

This was our first time to the Pied Piper, and we came based on Help recommendations. Everyone in our family liked what they ordered and we liked the atmosphere. The server was helpful as we navigated the menu. I liked the funny names on their food items. We recommend the yummy-ness of this place.

A music lover’s haven. We stopped for brunch on Easter Sunday. Didn’t know what we were getting in to, only saw good reviews and minimal wait. Let me start by saying that the people here were the NICEST people. The manager engaged us regularly throughout our meal and everyone made sure our coffee mugs were full. When we got there they’d just run out of biscuits. We were pretty hungry so we ordered mushrooms as an appetizer in addition to our breakfast selections. I got the build your own omelet with spinach, onion, mushrooms, and Swiss. I opted for one pancake instead of toast and the hash brown casserole as my side. My husband ordered the chicken fried steak and hash browns… Yeah I know, we ordered a lot of food. The mushrooms arrived first. They were piping hot, a generous portion and were delicious. The horseradish sauce complemented the mushrooms perfectly but was a little on the thin side. We ate a few of the mushrooms before our breakfast entrees came out. Again, all of the entrees were piping hot… But the food just tasted okay. The pancake was grainy, like a whole-wheat pancake and the omelette was… bland. I may be part to blame for my ingredient selection, I just expected the veggies to shine through. My husband’s chicken-fried steak was on the opposite spectrum… Too fatty and too salty and his hash browns were bland. The food was okay, the staff was amazing, and the restaurant offered something unique… For these reasons, I teetered between 3 and 4 stars. I settled on 3 stars because of the poor ventilation. At one point the restaurant got kind of smokey(not like burning food) and when we left, we smelled like food. This place is fun and friendly. But the star of this place is the experience.

This place was awesome! Only problem is that you better have no plans for the rest of the day cause if you’re anything like me you’d be completely useless… Soooooo yum! Had the Lindsay Lohan loaded fries, chicken fried chicken(the hash brown casserole is off the chain), my girlfriend had a veggie omelette that looked and tasted surprisingly good for something withojt meat in it. Finished it off with the Elvis dessert. Great meal!

It doesn’t get much better than the Pied Piper. After having a disappointing breakfast experience at a nearby establishment, Piper hit it out of the park. From the moment we sat down, we were greeted by a friendly server who made us feel welcome. Looking around at the décor, I was amused and delighted by the restaurant’s personality and charm. I got a special kick out of the names of the dishes, especially Lindsay Lohan’s Cheese Fries. I ordered the VIPBLT, which served with pesto and avocado. It was one of the best I have ever had. I also loved the cheesy casserole. My family also enjoyed their meals equally. In addition to great service from the server, the manager also came by several times to ask us how we were doing. In the end, our server wrote a sweet message on the receipt. If I am ever back in Nashville, I will make a special trip to the Pied Piper.

Yummy large serving of a chicken sandwich. Chicken is well cooked and crunchy. I like the choices of different chicken dressings. The bread for sandwich is alright, not the most fresh. I love the music themed décor of the diner. Breakfast, lunch, dinner is served all day.

I love this place. No matter how hungover I am, they always take care of me and bring me giant buffalo chicken sandwiches with perfect onion rings. Occasionally I venture onto the breakfast page and find even more satisfaction. The staff is always patient with me and the guest I bring in.

I have been here twice now, once to pick up dinner to go, and once for brunch with out of town friends. Show up before 10:00am on a Sunday if you’d like to experience the biscuits. They were all out by the time we got there. I guess that explains why there was no wait time. Anyway, as far as the brunch goes, it was alright. I wanted biscuits & gravy, but obvs no biscuits. I ended up eating 5 scrambled eggs(don’t judge me) because they were also out of grits. The eggs were fluffy and buttery and delicious. The hashbrown casserole* is decent but kind of dry. It also was when I got it at dinner time. The pancake was your average pancake! Good for what it was. On to dinner. I ordered the turkey sandwich(did I mention I sometimes eat turkey now?!), my husband ordered a veggie burger with bbq sauce and an onion ring, and my best friend ordered a veggie burger with fried jalapeños and pimento cheese. The turkey sandwich was so good. It was served on sourdough bread with pesto mayo and a nice portion of turkey. Really tasty and filling. Both of those veggie burgers were DELICIOUS. Seriously I wanted one for a solid week after they let me try theirs. Food is reasonably priced for the portions. Servers were friendly and attentive. *the hashbrown casserole is NOT vegetarian. It doesn’t have any actual meat in it but is cooked with chicken stock. If you’re cool with that like I am, go for it!

I’ve been back and forth on writing this review… My wife and I have been visiting the Pied Piper for a very long time, and loved it. The«grunginess» of the interior was one of the appeals of this quaint little diner. The last time I visited here everything was going perfectly until a roach crawled up my leg in the middle of the dining room. Naturally I started a little dance in the middle of breakfast, the staff acted nonchalant about the entire event. In fact our server moved his foot out of the way of the escaping bug. After all this happened the server brought the bill for me pay… I hate that I’ll never return to the diner, because I really enjoyed it, but the atmosphere can not be an excuse for poor sanitation.

Disappointed this second stop in. Not nearly as good as the first. Wasn’t a bad breakfast just wasn’t that good either. Was really over priced also for what we got. Will probably try and find another go to breakfast spot while in town.

Items Selected: Monty«Python» Cristo — Ham, Turkey, Cheese on Texas Toast, Hand Battered and Fried with Raspberry Sauce and Powdered Sugar White Cheddar Mac n’ Cheese I’m Goin’ to Graceland(half) — Peanut Butter, Banana, Honey on White Bread, Hand Battered and Deep Fried with Powdered Sugar, served with Vanilla Ice Cream and Chocolate Sauce Pecan Pie Chess Pie Cinnamon Sugar Bread Pudding with Vanilla Ice Cream Continuing on despite the recent passing of its owner, Becky Piper, Pied Piper Eatery was the third stop on Tuesday’s breakfast triathlon and with Led Zeppelin followed by The Who, Doors, and Stones quickly playing on entry as tables featuring all four bands plus severeal were found throughout the dining room I knew right away that we were in for an experience, the food in some ways an effect of the concept but quite creative and tasty just the same. Greeted by a young woman with ‘old-timey’ mannerisms that seemed surprisingly natural considering her age and side-job fronting a local rock band it was a clever all-day menu both in names and compositions that we investigated, the eventual order entailing one entrée, one included side, and four desserts from which only the odd custard based Pecan Pie was less impressive than the descriptions implied. For all intents and purposes a locals oriented rock n’ roll diner with a small prep kitchen tucked behind a white wall with more seating than I’ d imagine is usually necessary, it was with only three other parties present that our meal at Pied Piper took place and opting to have everything delivered at once as a matter of schedule it was to quite the smörgåsbord that we were treated, the white macaroni and cheese surprisingly well made with plenty of sharp cheddar balanced by buttery notes atop soft, spiral pasta while the steamy square of bread pudding, proudly touted as being without raisins, was bold with cinnamon and sweetness beneath a melting ball of creamy vanilla ice cream. Having already mentioned the pecan pie, it was the seemingly the exact same pie minus pecans that served as Pied Piper’s take on Chess and although far better here than with the nuts the flavor was still somewhat ‘off’ compared to others in the area, the far better investment being a pair of deep-fried specialties including the Presley inspired«I’m Goin’ to Graceland» with honey, bananas, and peanut butter and far too infrequently seen legitimate Monty Cristo, a hand battered stack of ham, turkey, and cheese on Texas toast given a quick bath in hot oil before being patted dry and paired with housemade raspberry purée for a taste both sweet and savory that by itself more than justifies a visit to Pied Piper… in this case, the concept most definitely secondary to the cuisine.

I found Pied Piper to be so charming. The décor was a little offbeat for Nashville with more references to rock than country, but I liked it. We popped in on a rainy weekday evening and were welcomed by a friendly staff. And when I say welcomed, I mean our whole family felt genuinely welcomed. The place is super kid friendly and has a small area with simple toys and books for them to enjoy. And when my daughter spent the entire meal organizing little packets of jelly? No judgement. Which is rare. The food was exactly what I was hoping it would be — comforting Southern goodness. The fried pickles are a must! If you’re in town and are looking to bypass the overcrowded and overpriced downtown spots, Pied Piper is a great choice!

I was first introduced to Pied Piper by a friend in late 2009 I believe. Awesome«fill you up» breakfasts. I love the décor of the place. Lots of music themed artifacts. The food is overall good. Last time I went in(before this review) I had a burger and fries. I also opted for a dessert — and I am not a dessert type person. They had a brownie and it was warmed with vanilla ice cream. I had that«I ate too much» feeling afterwards. If you want a good breakfast, with little to no wait in a local neighborhood, Pied Piper is a great place. Support your local businesses.
