The Yellow House Salon & Barbershop East

I seem to always leave salons disappointed… not exactly sure what’s not quite right about my hair but knowing it’s not quite right. I went to the Yellow House Salon hoping for a different experience and was not disappointed. Tori is very knowledgeable and educated about different styles and techniques. I gave her a bit of information of what I wanted and she took that and gave me exactly what I wanted. I highly recommend Tori and Yellow House in general. You will not be disappointed.

BJ O’Malley is the best hair stylist in Nashville. I had a terrible cut/​color from a different salon and HATED it. BJ was able to fix the color and trim it up to look beautiful. She really listened to what I wanted with the style and color and gave me the best haircut/​color I’ve ever had! Plus the products she used were top of the line. My hair smelled heavenly!
She is an incredibly friendly person and I have already set my next appointment! The salon is in a great location and everyone working there is very friendly and welcoming. Can’t wait to go back!

BJ O’Malley has been doing my hair for two years already! She always makes my hair experience special and fun. I began going to her while she was at another salon in East Nashville and have now followed her to her new location at The Yellow House Salon.
BJ is really the best, she is a great listener while also being able to gently direct you to the best style and look for you.
The salon is cozy and warm located just a short walk from Bongo Java and the whole Five Points scene. The ppl are friendly and accommodating making you feel welcome when you arrive.
I highly recommend BJ O’Malley, she is friendly, upbeat, great listener and super talented.

Wow!!! My first trip to the Yellow House today, and it was incredible. BJ gave me the works: cut, full highlight, keratin treatment, and style. I always feel that I am pretty vague in my direction to BJ, but she always knows what I am talking about, always does the right thing, has talked me out of bad decisions, and talked me into good ones. I get compliments on my cut and color all the time, and I owe it all to BJ! She is AMAZING! I made my husband go to BJ, too, because he could not get the cut he wanted, and sure enough, the first time with BJ, and he was hooked. And I was so impressed with this salon. Everyone was friendly, welcoming, accomodating and helpful. I just love this place. I had checked out the website and immediately fell in love with the story behind it. This small yellow house right off five points is precious. It’s quaint inside and I found the staff very welcoming. I tagged along to my husband’s hair cut and the stylist was extremely kind. She even took time to look at my hair and chat with me. My husband LOVED his cut — nice fade on the sides. She was able to style his hair in the way he wanted. I was just as happy as he was. He has an appointment to return and I’ll make an appointment for a coloring soon!

Sarah cuts my hair very well and colors it beautifully. She is super nice and relaxing and gives a lovely hand massage upon request. The salon is nice and cozy and the patrons definitely enjoy the experience, now if only they did wine and cheese it would be just like the spa.

Erin cut my hair and did such an awesome job. This is literally my favorite haircut since I’ve grown my hair out years ago. It’s been so hard to find a stylist for my curly long hair, and I’ve finally found one. Thanks Erin.
