Touch of Silver Gold & Old is a wonderful jewelry store. They carry a beautiful assortment of all types of special jewelry. I visited just a few minutes before closing one day to get some information about a ring I acquired. The man(owner?) was not bothered at all about my late arrival. Plus, he kindly cleaned my «new» ring to a glistening shine. I was thinking about selling the ring, but after the ring’s loving care by Touch of Silver Gold & Old I must keep it! Great shop. Kind people. Talented artist. Honest businessman. I recommend anyone who wants to buy unique jewelry or have jewelry repaired.

My favorite jewelry store in Indiana! This store is the reason I go to Nashville. The employees are down to earth and knowledgeable, and the selection is huge and full of treasures at all prices. The store is dog — friendly too! They welcome my Bulldog and have even given her treats. The owner has a collie named Stetson who is sometimes«working» too. This is my go — to spot for totally unique jewelry. Some mornings we grab coffee and head east from Bloomington just to see what’s new in their inventory and then walk around Nashville.

I suppose I’m not a connoisseur of fine jewelry stores — especially since I’m not in the target market for 99% of what they sell — but I know a good one when I find it. I’ve been a customer of TOSGO(my abbreviation, not theirs) for a long time and have admired them since I was a young’un. I bought my wife’s circa-1926 white gold engagement ring from them, had them create a wedding ring that fit snugly with the engagement ring, had them make a spoon ring, and watched them clean one up for my wife. The gentleman who owns the store is funny and friendly and happy to tell you how he does whatever he’s doing to the jewelry. They don’t have a huge selection, but a lot of it is estate and quite unique. And I’d eagerly pay them to make me a fancy-schmancy ring one day. I always look forward to visiting when I’m in Nashville even though I don’t have much money to spend on the wares.

I took my engagement ring(purchased at National Road Antique Mall in Cambridge City — see my review) here to see if someone could tell me the approximate decade it was made and the size of the diamond. Not only was the owner able to narrow it down to the year(between 1952 and 1954), he told me how much it was worth and we realized we had gotten a great deal on what we already knew was a beautiful ring. This place has a ton of gorgeous jewelry for any taste or budget. And they have little individually wrapped Jelly Bellys in a dish on the counter. Amazing.
