One of the coolest, most unique places I’ve dined in! The food and drinks were top notch! The menu was unique. Not only that, but it’s a historical building. They also have their own brewery.

Great group of people working here. The manager, the distilled and the bar tender were all great to talk to about the place. The food was great. The fire grilled flatbread items are a nifty way to serve the food. The brisket flatbread was quite good. The distilleries rum was great. The RC Cola had a really fun flavor. I enjoyed the Orange cordial mix in the Gentleman’s drink. Overall, a fun experience. I recommend it to everyone.

Food was okay, drinks were fantastic. Went here on a Friday night with my wife. We’re nearly the only ones in the place, but don’t let that be a bad thing. Walked in and greeted by the bartender. He let us know how the place works and let us be for a while. We ordered our food and drinks and enjoyed the atmosphere. I ordered the Cast Iron steak which was okay, not really a filet, but it was tasty. The drinks however, were fantastic. I didn’t get the bartender’s name, but I got the impression that he was the type of guy that could have his own place. The Sazersac I ordered was perfect. We will be going back again tonight just for drinks. That should say a lot considering we are only in town for 2 days.

Stopped in because of the building’s historic value on the way home from NOLA. Food was great. Service was fast. I don’t drink so I can’t comment on that. The building was pretty & at 4:30 in the afternoon on a Sunday, it was quiet.

I remember the last time I was in King’s Tavern. I was about sixteen years old and scared to death that I would be possessed by ghosts of years past. This is my first time back since the remodeling and I was pleasantly surprised! It still has the same, rustic charm that I remember without being creepy! The manager was personal and seemed to really care about his customers. Not to mention, he is a GREAT bartender! I recommend the Natchez Belle. It’s made with the Charboneau Rum from next door and it’s delicious. My husband and I split the brisket flatbread and it was perfect. Upstairs, there is a gift shop and a craft liquor store, then on the third floor there is a museum of the building’s history. It’s a great site to see and a fantastic place to eat in Natchez!

Different atmosphere and cocktails a little expensive. Drink selection not expansive and apparently no beer. Flatbread tasted good but fairly expensive. Bartender real cordial and would recommend trying at least once if in Natchez for a few days.

Absolutely stellar! Start to finish this is one of the best meals I’ve had. We used to live in San Francisco so that is sayin’ something :) the cocktails are complex and balanced. We kept ordering more just to try them, not to get drunk! We ordered the fried cauliflower and brisket flatbread. Both were to die for. The ambiance is perfect and they bring you a wine bottle of water as soon as u sit, which I always love. We met the owner, Regina, who was sweet as can be and the bartender was super knowledgeable. We returned a few days later to try more cocktails and ice cream.

Go there. You will not find a better place in a 50 mile radius. Or a 100 miles. 1) the flatbreads. the brisket on it is worth the travel alone. the onions are perfectly caramelized, a hint of sugar only and just perfectly pairing the — i suppose — not out of the container beef! 2) the drinks. you don’t expect handcrafted cocktails and curated craft beers in a bar in a town with a population of 15K. you’ll be surprised! 3) the vibe. Ricky has a BA in BS. And makes this place memorable, fun and exactly the spot you were looking for in a small town. 4) thank you Dexter for the ride to the hotel! He also made the flatbread

French people having a wonderful time ! Thanks to a couple that we met on the road, we found this amazing place owned by very nice and professional bar tender Ricky :) we tried home made cocktails and Argentina wine. Let’s talk about the food: delicious and tasty flatbread ! A lot of flavors in one piece of it. The architecture and the decoration of the house is so «tavern» that you can spend hours inside looking at the strong outside(it’s what we did) For the food, the drinks and the owner, I highly recommend this place ;) Ps: extra good music too ! It was a great atmosphere. Bartender was really friendly and mixed well! They don’t have a lot of options for picky eaters like me — not there fault at all that I don’t eat like a normal person does! Lol! Hubby tried a local blonde beer and it’s his new favorite.

This review is also divided. 5 stars for ambience and atmosphere. 5 stars for food taste. 3 stars for service(average). 1 star for drinks. 1 star for food reaction afterwards. Located inside the oldest standing building in Natchez, we were sent here by several friends. It was a «must» on our list of places to check out. You order at the bar, take a number and sit where ever you please. Menu and drinks are straightforward. We were informed that the owners also specialize in producing and distilling their own liquor as well. We ordered two rum based drinks. One, as a traditional Hemmingway Daquiri and the other with bitters and blood orange. When we tasted our drinks, my first reaction was that we were served the wrong drinks. So we swapped and tasted again, but that didn’t seem to rectify the taste either. I thought it tasted VERY much like tequila, in which my boyfriend eagerly agreed. I asked the bartender about it, thinking he grabbed the wrong bottle. He must get this question a lot, because his apparent default response was«You are tasting the sugar shine, it happens a lot with plant based sugars like the agave and sugarcane plant.» I drank it anyways, but it clearly tasted more like a mistake, or a lack of aging during the distillation process. For our appetizer we ordered the oysters which were served in a black peppercorn liqueur. Although tasty, the oysters were very small, and very shriveled. It is this dish we suspect got us both sick(varying degrees.) Our entrees, the brisket flatbread, and the bacon and brussel sprout flatbread were DELICIOUS. Hot, tasty, cheesy and flavorful. Brisket was tender, onions were caramelized, sprouts were charred and smoky(just how I like them) so the flatbreads were a winner. The atmosphere was wonderful. Quiet, intimate and romantic. I really loved my experience here despite the wacky tasting cocktail and the food reactions we had later. It happens! I would still return for another meal!

King’s Tavern is one of the few restaurants that I’d give seven stars to, on the one-to-five star scale. Perhaps even eight stars. The food is fantastic and could compete with any of the Michelin star restaurants we’ve dined in. Scrumptious. So much so that we ate two consecutive meals there(and we weren’t the only patrons that did that). In fact, this was the restaurant that inspired my wife to start writing Unilocal reviews(her far better review also appears here). Natchez’s storied history probably needs no introduction to anyone reading this, and the King’s Tavern occupies a particularly old and historic building that inspires a lot of comments like«if only these walls could talk …»

This place was awesome! My family and I went here for my Birthday lunch yesterday, on December 6th, and we almost didn’t go here, anyway, the building is the oldest building in Natchez, the new owners changed it to a restaurant and bar, I had the soup of the day, Turkey and Sausage Gumbo which was good, and an Iron Steak cooked Medium Rare with Potatoes. The steak was so yummy, the cook it in these little iron skillets and when they bring it out the put it on a tray and serve it they way they did in the 1700s. Its also suppose to be haunted by the Mistress of the man who owned the hotel in the 1700s, her name was Madaline, I didn’t get to meet her sadly, maybe next trip. Also, the Tavern is only open for lunch on Saturdays & Sundays(12 – 10) all the other days Monday-Friday they are open(5 – 10).

You’ll wish you lived closer! The concept is progressive without being ridiculous, the food and cocktails are crafted by artists who are passionate about every detail, the vittles are both novel and comfortable, drawing from traditional fare and technique with a fresh, rustic presentation in a very cozy, charming atmosphere. No better place to fill up in Natchez, a real gem. Oh, and the tiramisu sundae with bananas Foster topping is arguably the greatest dessert I have ever eaten. Period. End of statement.

Very Disappointing. Atmosphere and food has changed. Although the food was not too bad, it wasn’t our taste. Wish them the best of luck.
