FINALLY! I’ve waited for some time to be able to voice my adoration for this place and let me tell you it is FABULOUS! They’ve thrived mainly off of word-of-mouth recommendations, but I’m glad they have a Unilocal profile now. It’s located right above one of Natchitoches’ most beloved restaurants, The Landing, but there is a clear distinction in the vibe this place gives off compared to the rest of Natchitoches’ usual spots. It has a very rustic ambiance, live music, great service staff… but the star here is the food. I cannot give enough compliments the chefs here. Tapas style with frequent changes to the menu keep this place in a steady rotation for places to hit up with a group of friends every few weeks. Because it’s tapas style the portions are smaller, but that’s just more room to try all of the different dishes. It’s also a wonderful change of pace in the overcrowded Creole cuisine market that dominates a lot of places in Louisiana. The only downside I have to say with this place is the hours. As far as I’ve seen its only open two days a week(Thursday’s and Friday’s), but I’m told they host a great deal of private parties which may contribute. I’ve eaten here several times and if you’re looking for a place to mix it up with friends, eat some delicious food and relax, this is the place you need to be!

I walked by this place a dozen times without checking it out, so I was long overdue. Bön Ami is open on Thursday and Friday nights. Loved it. The space is romantic and cozy. We loved the ceilings and view. The menu is an eclectic mix for the most discerning foodie. Bön Ami is the perfect environment for a dinner date or a cocktail. This is the type of place to take a group and share. We ordered one of everything. I would recommend this if you have three or four people. My favorite was the pork belly. Seared and glazed, fork tender. A real standout in Natchitoches.

Easily the most creative menu items in Natchitoches. Excellent flavors and beautiful presentation. This really is a step up for Natchitoches. The small plates are a nice opportunity to try a variety of dishes. Service is attentive and, as another reviewer mentioned, they are willing to modify menu items to accommodate dietary issues. Only criticism is that the live music can be a little loud if you want to converse with your dining companion(s).

Beautiful space upstairs from The Landing on Front Street. Small plates with a short, but diverse, ever-changing menu, including seafood, pork, and fresh, seasonal vegetables. Best of all, when I was there, the chef easily modified two menu items to accommodate my vegan diet, and they were fantastic. I had the roasted beets without the goat cheese and then the pork belly dish without the pork belly. It had roasted sweet potatoes and brussels sprouts and sweet, grilled nectarines with toasted pecans, all glazed with a savory and sweet maple — and I think soy sauce — dressing. My dining companions really enjoyed the pizza and pork belly dishes they ordered and our server was a delight. They even brought us out some complimentary desserts, and the chef came to our table later to ask if the veganized dishes were up to par. The live music(singer/songwriter on guitar) was the icing on the cake.
