This was our first time eating there. We ordered the crab and artichoke dip. The chips were ok but looking for the crab meat in the dip. For the entrée I ordered the Crab Cake imperial and my husband got the honey glazed key lime salmon. It was«ok». What turned me off was the crab cake was made with a mixture of crab meat and mostly imitation crab meat; very disappointed. My husband said the salmon was good enough. The waitress was very sweet and helpful.

Crab & Artichoke Dip with fresh cut chips is sensational! Staff was very friendly and service was quick. Plus open Sunday afternoons.

Everything that I have tried here is amazing! The food is delicious and they have the best range of beers to choose from. Being from out of state I miss being able to get different kinds of beers at my leisure; the landing most definitely fills that void. The one thing they are missing is a tv outside for those nice summer Louisiana nights you want to watch a game.

Thanks for nearly killing my entire family. We came here, post-funeral, and everyone walked away with food poisoning. Whoever is responsible for handling the oysters and coleslaw(the only we had all eaten), fire that fucking asshole. Food poisoning kills 5,000 people annually and my family were almost a part of that statistic. Do you know what it’s like throwing up and shitting non stop for 3 days? Or having to go to the hospital to be pumped full of fluids because you can’t hold anything down? We do. There is a serious dereliction for food safety to cause food poisoning. It does just happen accidentally.

My wife and I have visited this place a few times. The Sunday Champagne Brunch is the best. But I was just told that they discontinued it last weekend. The dining area is very clean and the wait staff is very helpful. I definitely would rate this place as a four. Everything on the brunch line was prepared well, the deserts are awesome. Can you say chocolate fountain and strawberries… With champagne. It is a more refined place but a great place for couples wanting a good quiet night out.

This was a pretty good pit stop. Front Street is wonderful to walk along. We were on our way to New Orleans so we stopped here for a bite to eat. We had crab cakes and crayfish poboys. Very good, but not quite what we were expecting. Was hoping for more meat in our poboy. Turned out to have more fried bits. Make sure to order bottled water or beer!

Very good customer service. I had grilled shrimp, my wife had blackened tilapia and salads. Also had fresh bread. All very good. Would try this place again.

This is my favorite place to visit when I’m in town. They have great gator bites & awesome green tomatoes. The drinks are strong & the hospitality is great!

This was the first time that we actually ‘ate’ at The Landing. In the past we have only had cocktails while people watching. On this trip we actually had dinner and it was fantastic. We started with the fried alligator and then had the crab cake — both were perfect and the service was impeccable. This is a solid bet for dinner or drinks right on Front Street.

I got the honey-glazed salmon with grilled asparagus and rice. It was terrible! The whole thing was drowned in a sauce that tasted like something out of a bottle from the grocery store. It was so bad I couldn’t eat it. My husband got the crispy chicken florentine, which was really good. It came with some loaded mashed potatoes, which were also great. Thankfully, the waiter didn’t make us pay for the salmon. The atmosphere is nice, and there’s a good drink selection.

Really bad dining experience. I think they were short staffed in the kitchen because it took forever to get food and when we did you could tell it was sitting in the window for awhile. I got the shrimp and grits, which I believe said were creamy on the menu, the grits were firm and had little taste. I had to add a bunch of salt and pepper to get down. The shrimp were cooked well. My wife got the Grilled Gulf Shrimp, and they brought her the fried. She sent that back and when they brought out the grilled shrimp it was apparent they were only grilled on one side. She said it tasted like what you would get off the kids menu. Positives: decent beer selection and the atmosphere was nice. I really wanted to like this place…

Crab cakes Imperial were very tasty! Loved the fried green tomatoes! And the bread pudding was really good as well! I will be going back to try the fried quail with Gouda mac’n cheese.

Some friends and I stopped in for lunch. The wait time was outrageous! BUT, the chicken was absolutely terrific. A fried chicken breast sat atop a bed of tasty garlic mashed potatoes and beneath a light spinach Alfredo sauce topped with crisp bacon crumbles. Yum! The portions were generous but not wasteful. The iced tea and sliver of lemon were a bit weak in flavor. It proved to be a distraction from an otherwise lovely meal. Opt for water. Bananas Foster was a DIVINE ending to the meal. Prep was entertaining and the rich sauce and fresh, firm bananas made the dish! The loss of one star was due to the wait and the inexperienced waiter. Staff was otherwise good and very accommodating. A return visit is definitely in order.

We arrived shortly after normal lunch hours so the crowd was not very heavy. We were seated as we walked in and drink order was taken quickly and brought to us in a timely manner. We then ordered our food and appetizer and the appetizer made it’s way to the table in good time giving us plenty of freedom to enjoy the appetizer before the meals arrived. We had the Shrimp and Grits and Fried Green Tomato BLT and both were very good. We also had desert and both of our selections were good as well. The price was very reasonable for the food served. I would recommend giving it a shot of you are in the area.

Whatever this restaurant once was, it is no longer. Inexperienced staff, extended wait times and an altogether apathetic vibe have transformed this place into a bottom-of-the-barrel Chili’s.

What once was an enjoyable place to dine, has miraculously taken a nose dive for the worst. After waiting almost two hours for our food, the quality of the food was sub-par at best. My ribeye steak was cold and tasteless. That is what you get for 29 dollars. No salad. No baked potato or sides. Just a cold, tasteless, overpriced steak. They also charge between 6 and 8 dollars for the sauce. So if you want to give your steak some flavor, you pay for it. One guest received a hot plate of cold fettuccine and sent it back and when the entrée returned, the plate was hotter but the fettuccine was still cold. Terrible food, terrible service, and ridiculously high prices will keep me from ever coming back.

The food is very much enjoyable here. We tried the meat pies, crab cakes, fried green tomatoes, alligator and shrimp remoulade. Had the wedge salad and Cesar salad and a couple of drinks from the bar. Also ordered bread pudding and key lime pie. Joe was our server and I must say he has worked his fingers to the bones for us. His personality and work attitude is amazing beyond words! The food is outstanding and the atmosphere is top notch. It is cloth table dining, but we wore shorts and tshirts and didn’t feel out of place in the least bit. We will definitely be adding the Landing to our ‘must go to’ every time we are in Natchitoches! Thanks Joe for the awesome job taking care of us!!!

I always love The Landing! Key Lime martinis, meat pies, fried green tomatoes and the wedge salad with the homemade bleu cheese!!! My first place to go to when I hit town!
