This place used to be fun to go to. But has gone downhill fast.
Balls are really old. Putting surface is not maintained so they are no more a putting surfaces. Grass tees are in bad shape. distance markers sparse and inaccurate. This business seems to be doing little or no maintenance.

I hate to give this place even a one it has really gone down hill. They make you park up the hill. The range itself it ok. The putting green is in terrible shape and ten dollars for a small bucket of balls is a lot in my book. Overall terrible, it used to be a nice place. They should do the range some dignity and sell it to a golf management company.
It seems they have a captive audience who just wants to hit golf balls overall, a terrible place to practice golf.

I signed up for a 4-​lesson package with NGLC last year. The first two lessons went fine, but when I called to schedule the third lesson I left a voicemail and no one replied. By then it was late in the year and too cold to pursue further until the spring. This year I have left multiple voicemails and email, still with no response.
All I am asking is to get the lessons I paid for, but I can’t get a reply to schedule the last two and now the weather is getting cold again. Really, really disappointed in the lack of response. I won’t be visiting NGLC again unless it is to show up to demand a refund for the two lessons I never received.

Range itself is decent. It’s usually never busy. Staff is relaxed and will let you hit from the grass tee’s (supposed to be members only) if its later on in the day or not busy. Bucket fees are very reasonable. 2 chipping/​putting greens that you can hit on all you want. My problem with this place was the lessons. When i took lessons, it advertised 3 different PGA pro’s. I paid for a 5 lesson package for $ 250(this was last summer) and the guy they hooked me up with was not 1 of the people advertised on their website. There is no way this guy has a PGA pro teaching card. Not a chance. Nice guy, but basically is just a towny who bums around the local municipal course and gives «lessons» at Natick. He bailed early from 2 of my lessons, and taught me absolutely nothing. When he took practice swings, he was very unimpressive. Some of my buddies have much better form and can hit the ball much better than this guy I was giving 50 bucks per lesson. Felt really deceitful the way the whole lesson thing went down. Buyer beware on that.

This review is specifically about my experience with a lesson from the golf pro, Mark, at the Natick Golf Learning Center.
Overall, great experience! I’ve been playing for over 15 years, pretty much averaging about 2 – 3 rounds per year, and I’ve had about 3 lessons total in that time. This was my most recent, in June 2012, and I needed some help.
I’m not going to mention my average score, since it’s inconsistent, and not based on a lot of data — but assume I could use some help preventing a wicked slice. Mark was pretty casual, asked a few questions, reviewed my swing and very quickly tuned in to what I needed to work on. He made a few adjustments in my swing to get the all straighter and further. It worked! Now i’m hitting 210 yards dead-​on.
Normally I’m not so trusting of golf pros, as I think they rip you off. But, he knows his stuff and only fixed the stuff that wasn’t working. He kept the basics of my swing. So, I don’t feel like I’m starting from scratch.
He also said that one lesson was enough for me — practice was the missing piece. So, how can I feel that he’s ripping me off if he didn’t even recommend a follow-​up lesson. Every case is different i’m sure. Although I only paid for 30 min, he was more than fair with time.
I’d highly recommend the Natick Golf Learning Center for a few lessons — ask for Mark.

The staff at the driving range are very friendly and helpful. Really nice guy. Can get pretty crowded on weekends in the summer, but I’ve never had trouble finding an open stall.
