This establishment is beautiful in its simplicity, its attention to detail for the finer things driving my repeat business. Noteworthy, first, is the choice of burgers — creative and unique, diverse and accommodating for all tastes. Second is the price — you’ll leave satisfied having spent less than $ 10, a rarity in this economy. It’s for the best that I don’t live that close to Smashburger because I’d probably be back every day.

I love Smashburger for a fast food restaurant, it has both the convenience of fast food and table service — they deliver to your table. They guarantee that you will have your order within 5 minutes of placing it. I really like the fried pickles, albeit down South they are a bit better when you find a great BBQ joint but these definitely pass! The burgers are fresh, topped with fresh ingredients. Worth the trip!

Food is always good. I like the consistency of knowing exactly what to expect… until tonight. Walked in at 8:10 to find half the dining room closed. I chose to stay and eat even though it looked like they were closing. While eating, they decided to run a floor machine to clean the place. I thought that was really odd. While trying to enjoy a dinner I have booths being slid around, chairs being stacked on tables and this loud machine running. Sorry that I showed up and interrupted their cleaning and shutting the place down, even though they don’t really close until 10:00. Surely did not feel welcomed. But my food was really good.

Disappointing. I’m not a fan of fast food, but I do patronize Five Guys. I can order a burger cooked from scratch, exactly how I want it. The fries are cooked to order. They serve an ample portion, and the staff is generally polite(it was far better when they first started though). From the restaurant reviews and the newspaper articles, expected Smash to be significantly better than 5 Guys. Arrived at the Natick Ma location at 5. The place was empty. Ordered a standard 5 Guys meal — burger, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, peppers and small fry. I sat down to wait for my order, and in 30 seconds, a food order arrived. I tipped up the bun, and noticed that my order was covered in onions. I told the waitress that I didn’t think this was my order. She then picked up the order that I had touched, and handed it to the only other patron in the store. Gross. 30 seconds later, my order gets plunked down in the table. Smash orders are supposed to be cooked from scratch. However, you can’t cook a burger and fries, assemble the sandwich and deliver it to the table in 60 seconds. I’m guessing that the patty was precooked, and heated on the grill to warm it up. The fries were lukewarm, indicating that they weren’t cooked fresh either. Finally, the quality of the ingredients were far better than 5 Guys, but the portions were skimpy. A few thinly sliced tomatoes, peppers, and pickles. One piece of lettuce, and a small portion of fries. I left the store hungry. I felt as I had dropped in at a slightly more upscale McDonalds that was even more expensive than 5 Guys. $ 7.69 for a single patty cheeseburger. Smash could be a huge success, but not the way it’s presently managed. Sad.

Avocado club burger was good. Now they give you extra leftover shake straight from the blending cups. Their shakes are still amazing. Rosemary fries with truffle mayo still so good. Spicy fries were decent. Fried pickles were ok.

I really wanted to like this place… but it was horrible and the burgers were not good or taste fresh at all. It was just a greasy slob.

Best burger I’ve had. Allows you to customize with extra veggies like spinach and multigrain bun. Also liked the sweet potato smash fries. Got a free shake for my birthday since I was on their email list – the salted caramel shake was delicious! Only bad thing was the wait – it has gotten very popular especially with families so was quite crowded when I went. But definitely worth it!

Better than Shake Shack! Came in for a quick Saturday lunch, and everything was hot, fresh and the service was great. The chicken sandwich on whole wheat with the spinach and goat cheese was awesome, as was the truffle mushroom Swiss burger. The fries are feet, and the kids loved their chicken fingers. Great job, guys!

Decided to stop in after watching a Phantom Gourmet spot on the place. Made me want a burger! Apparently my expectations were too high. The best part of the meal was the Smash fries. They were crunchy and tasty. I found their much touted burger bun cold and not fresh tasting. The toppings I ordered, buffalo and blue cheese were not what I had hoped for which was akin to Bobby’s Burger Palace. The burger itself was good. Just good. Won’t go out if my way to give the place a second chance.

I had high hope, but things ended up being so-so. They ran out of milkshakes the night we were there(not sure how you end up doing that), so the kids were disappointed. The burger was OK, but it came with lots of bun, too much as a matter of fact. Worst of all, the onion rings I ordered were both cold and too salty. Same with the fries the kids got. Will I be back? Nope.

The smash fries were to die for! A little greasy but it tasted great and I kept wanting more. As far as burgers go, I ordered the bacon cheeseburger to stay safe and it wasn’t bad. The staff was courteous and nice and the food was brought to us pretty fast. I think the only thing I didn’t enjoy was that there were screaming kids everywhere that night, but what can you do?

Store seems to have trouble with staffing. I have a 30 minute lunch and work in the Sherwood Plaza. Yesterday at 5:50 it took 20 minutes for a salad to arrive after placing the order. I was not offered an apolgy only the excuse they had a lot of to go orders. There was also a 7+ minute wait for the person in front of me to place their order. Even though they have 2 registers no one ever came to assist in taking orders. The salad did not look appetizing after they threw it in a container to go. It should not take 20 minutes to assemble a salad. There was nothing extra added to the order. What a disappointment not to have time to eat. A collegue went there an hour later and said it took a long time to get his food without me saying anything about my issue There seems to be some basic service issues management needs to address.

So here’s a burger joint I’ve been trying to get to for a while. So when I was visiting the Natick Mall a few days ago and saw the sign in the corner of my eye, I had to make a stop. I popped in and decided I would go with something that would give a me a good overall feel for what their food was like. I ordered the BBQ, Bacon, and Cheddar(with no onion rings) and the Rosemary garlic«Smash Fries.» The food came out fairly fast, but when I took a bite or two, I soon realized that, instead of no onion rings, my burger had no bacon. I brought it back to the counter to let them know and I was a bit letdown to see them try to then yank the onions off and throw some bacon on. When they saw the look on my face they offered to make a new one. That should’ve been automatic in my book. Anyway, the new burger came out but I already had an idea of what it tasted like. Surprisingly, it was a lot more bland than I had hoped for, although I will say that it was juicy and sizeable. But flavor is what matters most to me. It was lacking. The shoestring style fries however were very good. Crispy yet oily and packed with taste. Those things were addictive and worth the $ 2 and change. To summarize, I probably won’t be back, but if I do, I know that the fries will be on the next receipt…

I LOVE Smashburger Natick! Living in Westwood, I have a new Smashburger, yet haven’t gone yet for the only factor that I would rather not see people I know in town. Traveling to Natick is incredible(especially with the AMAZING Natick Mall to look forward to), so I decided to try it a few days ago after visiting a new store at Shoppers World. Overall, the restaurant is immaculate(no dirt /trash anywhere!), and the food was great. Even better, was Josh, our cashier. Incredibly helpful, friendly and MADE sure we were satisfied, as well as answering all of my questions. For the food, the burgers are delicious. Maybe not as great(yet, also not as expensive) as the ones I get at TGI Fridays, yet they were REALLY good and the price was great. For the haystack onion rings, not nearly as good. They were WAY too spicy and tiny.(I am not one for liking spicy things… if you do, go for it!). Suggest getting a burger & fries. Skip the haystack onion rings. Overall, 5 stars. Natick Smashburger is great(as is Josh!)

I love smash burger. This particular place is usually pretty busy. They do get your food out fast. The manager seems to be on top of things and polite too. I always get the smash burger and the smash fries, they’re so good. Three stars for service of our cashier, I think her name was kental or something. She was quite unfriendly, no hello how are you, just trying to roll out orders, although there was no one behind me in line. I’m a tough critic when it comes to customer service, sorry smash burger, this gal needs some retraining. Restrooms were clean and manger was clearing tables, picking up trays and such. I also saw another employee doing the same, very diligent, keeping the place neat as possible. Tried this place again last week and it seems the cashiers here are just about getting the job done. Not a bad thing but they are not friendly at all. Expect them to greet you with«for here or to go?». No hello, hi, welcome to smash burger, no smile, eye contact, nothing! Reminds me of McDonald’s drive thru.

Well seafood wasn’t in the cards and an early dinner left me wanting more. A chain restaurant wasn’t what I had in mind but a Smashburger sounded good as we don’t have in Indiana(have been to in Chicagoland). Very tasty overall… Five Guys meets Steak and Shake meets In n Out meets 96th Street Steakburger. Market getting crowded. Great vanilla shake.
