Older restaurant but a really cool family owned place that is a National City staple. Me being somewhat gigantic feel that their pizzas are for one person. But what they lack in size they make up for in quality. I am partial to the simple pepperoni pizza, which is simple. But they also have a really killer all meat pizza.

I really enjoyed the pizza and sandwiches at this fine place. My family and I really enjoyed our dinner here and I’m looking forward to going back and eating their delicious pizza hopefully very soon. Thank you for having such delicious food.

I will definitely be back. Customer service was great. Highlights were a sausage and pepperoni pizza and the Sicilian sandwich. The only thing I didn’t really care for was«the great white» pizza(with chicken and jalapeños), but chicken on pizza is really hit or miss. I wouldn’t order that again but everything else was delicious. The pizza was nice and cheesy, hot and fresh right out of the oven. Great flavor in the red sauce. The Sicilian was probably the best torpedo I’ve ever had. My fav used to be the one from Nicolosi’s, but they have recently changed the recipe. This one is better than Nicolosi’s ever was. Overall great place, a little run down but awesome food.

I think they need to make the large pizza a bigger size. The large we got was so small. Especially for $ 14.20 I thought the food was going to be better but unfortunately it was too grease heavy and cheesy for me. The toppings literally start sliding off. Also I couldn’t taste the sauce at all. The crust was good though. Overall it was not what I expected. But if you love cheese then this could be a good place to look into.

Couldn’t eat enough!!! The place is older and a little run down but the pizza is really good! Lots of cheese, tasty sauce, and the crust has a good crunch! I went for lunch w two big eaters and we couldn’t finish two large pizzas! The left overs were awesome for breakfast the next day!

Best pizza in the South Bay period. Pizzas are cheese and delicious. The restaurant is very old school but they been making some upgrades as of late. They also got a pool table in the back with a small bar area and TVs.

been going here for 50 years, with the exception of 1985 — 2013. A long break, yet the place was better than remembered it. Whether you dine in or get it to go, you simply MUST order the cheese pizza. Yup, a standard cheese pizza. It’s perfect. The best thing they do. Also, note the murals on the upper walls. If you have ever heard Tom Waits’ old pizza stories, they are from here. He was a worker at Joe n’ Sal’s back in the 60’s.

So I’m looking for a new pizza spot and this place is down the street from my house. I’ve been here waaaaay back in the day but it’s been too long to really remember much. Figured I’d give it a shot. Ordered the large supreme pizza. Get there to pick it up and am immediately greeted by some lady clearing a table and the young lady behind the register was very nice as well. So just to be clear my 2 star rating has absolutely nothing to do with the service, as they were very nice. So I tell the young lady my order and she checks a box on top of the stove which looked very small, she comes back and asks the guy back there about my order which gave me some relief that the small box wasn’t mine. She then goes back and takes a second look and realizes that the small box was mine. She come over and gives me the total which was $ 18 and some change… I just kept looking at the box(pictured) and asked are you sure that’s a large? She says oh yeah it’s very filling trust me. One thing though, she says its filling and she had to have weighed 90lbs, this was for two men over 200lbs each hahaha. I said well I hope so because we’re big eaters. I couldn’t get over the size of their large it was smaller than a lil Caesars pizza. Took it home and figured oh well it smells bomb so the taste may make up for the size. Was about halfway through the first slice and found myself chugging my drink… one more bite and more chugging. Took 2 slices and 4 cups of water to realize this pizza was the saltiest thing I’ve ever tasted. Didn’t even finish the second slice. We must’ve had a total of 3 slices from the box and just decided to throw it out.

Overpriced and disappointing! Ordered a small antipasta salad to go, when I got home I was shocked to see how small and sad the salad was. When you charge $ 9 for a salad, it better be on point! Instead, I received a handful of lettuce, six banana peppers(highly unnecessary) a few slices of provolone(?) Couple slices of salami and two olives. Where the hell is the mozzarella? The pepperoni? The bell pepper? The ham? Absolute waste of money. I was so disappointed, I didn’t even eat it. Thankfully it came with garlic bread(my now dinner) but seriously charging $ 1 extra for cheese on the bread? I’d rather eat truck stop sushi than get ripped off by this place again. Talk about getting bent over.

Horrible customer service called in for a pizza was told 20 min. They stayed the pizza once I got there 40 min later I get my order pizza was nothing great the large pizza was Tiny for 14.25 not worth it. Tuesday night at around 1830 The portion for a large isn’t much, barely enough for two people. I can get a large at little Cesar’s for $ 5. I’m just saying

I never liked this place growing up! But I sure do now!!! Best provolone pizza and torpedo sandwich! This is one of the only restaurants I could eat at when I was going through chemo… never made me sick… and I think that says a lot for their food quality. The servers are always VERY nice!

Great traditional pizza! Great prices n great food! Place is chill great for families and large parties! Kids can play video games while the adults enjoy watching Sunday football on numerous large screen tvs! They have a huge party room for banquet style parties, being a customer for almost 20 years and we still drive a half an hour to get a awesome pizza! Oh and the wings are excellent too! So happy to support a family establishment, the waitresses are great n the guys cooking the food are Always friendly!

We went again today around 7 sat for ten minutes the waitres came up asked if we were ready to order I said not yet can we please have a pitcher of water as the place was really hot and she decided to give everyone else drinks before us after waiting 5 minutes for our water me my husband and our 5 boys decided to walk out and take our business elsewhere. We are avid supporters of our local businesses but we won’t be comming back to this one. Really disappointed.

I ordered half lasagna to go. I got back to work only to find that the sauce leaked from the container and through the paper bag and onto my car seat. Can you please put your orders in better containers or at least a plastic bag??? The lasagna was delicious. No question. But now my car smells like tomato sauce.

No curb appeal. Looks pretty shady inside and out. Tables and booths were kind of sticky… But the pizzas and sandwiches are delicious! And the best part is that its cheap too. For less than $ 5 I got a salami samwich that lasted me thru lunch and dinner. And my coworker got a small Hawaiian pizza for just over $ 6. Thin crust and cheesy goodness. Yum! They seriously need to work on the building and décor tho. Gosh it looked filthy.

I’ve been here years ago and my friend used to come here as a child with her parents. The artwork in their hall room reflects a famous athlete who graduated the same year as she did from a local high school and needless to say the place has over three decades of history for my friend and her family. She remembers her father always ordering a number 9 which is the hamburger pizza. Their lasagna was delicious as is their marinara sauce and antipasto salad. Their torpedo sandwiches whether hot or cold never let you down. We chose the number fifteen(The Works Pizza) and it fed three of us with satisfying portions. Free sodas and water pitchers at least for big parties like ours. The birthday girl order a salad with their yummy ranch dressing and a pineapple pepperoni pizza. To our surprise the crust was soggy. We asked if they didn’t mind throwing it in the over for a bit more. It basically came back hot yet not done. And we still paid for it. Not the great experience that I’ve had before.

Now I have no issues with this place since they are open on Sundays now. They were closed on Sundays previously so we never headed over to get pizza when we wanted it on Sundays since we always thought they were still always closed on Sundays. Happy to hear that they changed that.

Amazing pizza! I walked in for a take out order. Waited a good 30 minutes for this order. I had to ask when it be ready. I didn’t expect to wait so long which is very frustrating. The wait sucked BUT I guess now you can say it was worth it. Pizza is amazing. I ordered a large peperoni pizza with half of it with jalapeños. The best pizza I have tasted in a long time. You can tell they make everything fresh. Lasagna is pretty amazing as well. Check it out people!
