Every time I come here it gets worst. Whoever is taking the order usually has an attitude. Almost never acknowledge that you have come in and look at you crazy when you acknowledge them. The food doesn’t taste the same, the cheese is never melted and the hot sauce had lost its flavor. I think this will be my last trip here

This was my first time here & definitely my last. The service was so horrible, I didn’t get helped until the lady at the register finished her phone call which was about 10 minutes. Then when I asked how many tacos are for $ 3.50, the lady laughed at me & said 1… Then she said something in Spanish to the cook & he started laughing as well. I didn’t bother to order anything I just left. They don’t deserve a penny from me nor a star, not even half a star.

I have mixed feelings about this place. I placed my order bean burrito no cheese with onion. The guy at the register charged me 75 cents for onions even though I didn’t want cheese. We all know cheese is much more expensive then onion. But whatever I payed for my burrito. So I guess the cook wanted to give me my money’s worth of onion. He put a ton of onion in my burrito! It honestly ruined it, sadly the beans were very tasty perfect taste and texture but all I tasted was onion. My second complain is that the bathroom was gross. No soap no paper towels and it smelled like peed. Moral of the story. Go thru the drive thru and don’t ask for extra onion lol

Do no get the Carne Asada Fries. They are so dry. I keep giving them a chance and I don’t know why. The fries are always way over cooked and they do not come with sour cream. They barely put any guacamole and cheese. I had to go back and ask for more because it was so bad. They said that’s how they always do them. In addition, the carne Asada is sub par. It doesn’t taste like it’s cooked the right way. With so many other Mexican restaurants in such close proximity it’s not worth it to make the stop.

Been going to «Rubber Toes» for years and every one in a while the faces change but the food and service remain the same! Now that I have moved out of California, it is a must to come and get some Carne Asada fries or a CA burrito. It really is comfort food, if you happen to stumble across it and it will be your first time, you won’t be disappointed. The portions are huge and very tasty!

Not everyone in the world have time to wait to make an order. The worse customer service. Waiting damn there 10 minutes to make an order, watching them talking & taking breaks, while others in line waiting to make an order. Now that’s BADBUSINESS!

If I were only giving this rating for the taste of the food, then I would have given Roberto’s a 3 start rating. They have decent food, admittedly, but by all measures it’s nothing past standard Mexican food. It’s not exceptional by any means, but neither is it disgusting. However, I will absolutely never go back to this place again. Me and my work partner decided to post at Roberto’s for our break. We both got carne asada burritos and gobbled them up; this was the only thing either of us had eaten all day. By the time we finished our day’s calls and got back to station, both of us felt sick and were racing for the bathroom. My partner had diarrhea for two days and that was the end of it for him. I wish I could have been as lucky. My stomach(three months later) still has not stopped hurting. The abdominal pains I now get as a result of eating at Roberto’s have escalated to the point where I now get pain after eating just about anything. I went to the doctor and was diagnosed with a GI infection, most likely, from something I ate. Maybe they normally serve good food, maybe they know how to properly store and cook food, maybe I just caught them on a bad day. I don’t know. Whatever their food did to me that day is enough for me to never come back again. It wasn’t worth it, and its affected every facet of my life since then.

No one does it like Roberto’s. There not as many around as their use to be but the food is consistent and taste really good.

The food was good. We used to go all the time. But they treat white people like shit and when they mess up your food, they have fucked up attitudes. It sucks that we won’t be going back. But there are a million other taco shops here in San Diego.

This place is «the spot» fa real. Especially, after a night out drinking. Its open 24hrs and it never fails to please the taste buds. The signature food from here and from California is the California burrito. A must try.

Roberto’s is one of the most famous taco chains in San Diego. Open late, not too busy, nice, fast service and great prices. Salsa bar, which is always a plus. Still, just not a fan. I have tried several of their locations now, just because they seem to always pop up where ever I am in SD, but nothing has ever stood out as needing to have again. I have had the tacos and burritos, tried all of their meats and none are that stellar. Nothing bad, just not worth going out of the way for.

This place is busy, expensive and the food is horrible. I would rather have food elsewhere. Would not recommend this place if you want good mexican food.
