The service is where my experience falls short, however the food was rather tasty. Our party of 7 arrived at 9pm after calling ahead to confirm that they could accommodate us without a wait, of which was rather easy considering when we arrived there was only 1 other table occupied. Shortly after placing our drink orders, we were informed that they closed at 10pm and suggested that we quickly make our dinner selections which I thought was rude, especially considering they took our call ahead for this time slot. This started off a string of events with the service that leaves me with no desire to return; such as poor presentation of menu options, failed to bring out a salad, had to ask multiple times for items, brought the wrong sauce as requested and as I just figured out, supposedly their known for offering multiple sauces to try with your dish — hence the name, which were not even mentioned. The added hefty service charge for the large party was the icing on the cake, ugh. The food on the other hand is this place’s saving grace. Complimentary bread is served with butter and a pesto infused oil, best when the bread is warm as our first batch was not. I had the rockfish with green beans & potatoes, turned out to be an excellent choice and this dish alone saved me from feeling ripped off from my check total. Other dishes that had rave reviews at our table were the caprese salad & the lobster mac and cheese. Manager stopped by our table and gave us BOGO coupons for the Capital Wheel, which was a nice touch, but not enough for me to give this place another chance.

This place is so good. I’m leaving now after thanksgiving dinner with my mom. Everything was delicious I really loved it. I finally got to try butternut squash soup and it was AMAZING. The bread pudding, the turkey, the prime rib. Well worth the money. The service was also amazing from the time we got there to the time we left. The chef was very nice and was a joy to talk to. We will be returning!

Saucity is awesome! Love coming here and you can’t beat the view! I’m a weekly regular here and you can’t beat the service from Super the bartender. Highly recommend the burger, lobster Mac and cheese and the speciality drinks. Don’t sleep on the food, service and view from Saucity at the Westin!

The Chesapeake omelet and unlimited Mimosas were fantastic and reasonably priced although the Sunday brunch service was PAINFULLY slow and unorganized.

After spending the night at the Westin and if you read my previous review on our stay there, we were presented with a complimentary voucher for breakfast for two at their on-site restaurant, Sauciety. Upon descending down a curved staircase, we found ourselves stepping directly into the eatery. There was a fantastic view of the waterfront as the restaurant is located right along the Potomac River. The server was a pleasant lady, and we were quick to place our order. My child was with us, so we used the voucher for our two breakfast items and we told the server we would pay for their breakfast. The voucher noted that we could get two entrees, two beverages and two drinks so l ordered the steak, eggs and potatoes; my husband ordered the chicken and waffles and our child ordered the French toast. My husband and l also ordered an apple and cranberry juice, that were included in the voucher. My husband made it clear to the server again that we would pay for our child’s meal seperately since the voucher was only for two entrees, juice and beverage. We received our food and the chicken on my husband’s chicken and waffles was seriously DEEP fried. He said it had NO flavor. The french toast looked pretty, but was just okay. My steak, eggs and potatoes, which l ordered medium well, was ok, nothing to write home about. When it was time to pay the bill, here is where it got kind of sticky. The server had a seperate check for MY steak entrée and combined the other two entrees with the two juices. Mind you, the voucher stated two entrees with two drinks and two beverages with no dollar limit noted. My husband asked them why would they put the steak entrée by itself without the juice when the voucher clearly stated that it included the juice? It was a clear case of bait and switch to get us to pay for the most expensive item on the menu, the steak entrée, and they would comp the chicken and waffles and french toast. Well, after my husband broke the voucher situation down for the server AND the manager, needless to say, they revamped the checks and created a seperate for our child’s entrée. That turnof events kind of left a bitter taste in my mouth… oh, wait, that was my entrée. So glad it didn’t cost us so much.

We went in on a Saturday evening about 5:30 p.m. on a blazing gorgeous afternoon. It is very sunny in there so bring your sunglasses for sure. They said they are undergoing a renovation in the near future to remedy this problem. David served us promptly and courteously and was attentive to our every need. We spent 2 hours for dinner, something which we never do. They were not super busy so it was so nice to linger over drinks and appetizer and at each course really. We just let him know we wanted to savor our time and he took his cue. The executive chef, George, came out to greet us as well as the restaurant manager to see how our dinner was proceeding. The chef even prepared a special dessert just for us! Granted it was not busy when we went in but we had such a delicious and enjoyable meal! Thanks!

Spent the night at the Westin and didn’t find many breakfast options at National Harbor the next morning. We ended up downstairs in the hotel at Sauciety. It’s a large open space with floor to ceiling windows looking out over the Potomac. Plenty of open tables when we arrived around 8am. I picked the Harborview breakfast special with scrambled eggs, bacon and wheat toast. The eggs were cooked the way I like firm and not runny but they were either extra large eggs or more than two in there as I couldn’t finish them. The bacon was crisp but not burnt nor too salty. On the table there is a selection of four jellies to pair with your toast. Service was attentive and good for us. Our server Walter was polite, knew the menu well and kept our glasses full. Overall I was pleased with my meal and thought prices were reasonable to a little high. Coffee is $ 7 though for a small 3 cup pot which my wife was not happy about even though it was Starbucks.

Amazing. Simply amazing. We had the lobster dish, and both seafood pastas, all three were great. The bruschetta was also wonderful and different. Mirna was excellent. We will be back.

Breakfast was great and the service was excellent. Our waiter was very attentive. My issue was actually with the condition of the restaurant. The seats had lots of stains on them, seems like that could have been fixed by shampooing the upholstery. All the walls behind the seats had bad scuff marks. All these issues could be easily resolved by the maintenance guy by painting and shampooing.

Outstanding food. My porterhouse was cooked to perfection with a glaze that was delicious but not over stepping the flavor of the beef. My fingerling potatoes and string beans that accompanied the steak were also perfection. We not only had a wonderful meal that was severed hot but the staff was happy to meet our every need(even before requesting). So great food and great service for a party of 10… wow!

Save your money, wasn’t impressed. Had a cocktail from their suggested list(Patron Tequila) bitter and sent it back. Crab soup was a 3 but ordered the veal, dry tasted like it was over cooked like maybe prepared yesterday! Disappointing and rather empty only one other table the night we went. I expect better from a Westin Restaurant!

I don’t usually care much for hotel restaurants. They’re typically overpriced with less than perfect fare and almost always seem to fall short of the mark. Sauciety is an exception. I knew it was high priced but I didn’t expect such an excellent meal for the money. It was worth it. As luck would have it, we ran into the hotel’s Food and Beverage Manager the night before when the bartender ran out of Remy Martin which he promptly delivered. We chatted with him briefly and learned a bit more about both the Westin National Harbor and this restaurant. We ended up eating here on a Saturday night because the wait at all the other popular National Harbor eateries was more than an hour. I haven’t found too many restaurants that can justify that kind of wait so we passed on all of them and headed back to our hotel with the thought of trying Sauciety. It’s an upscale, elegant but austere setting, modern but inviting. We had a wonderful woman take our order who told us about a great special on an Chilean wine which we had and really enjoyed. I had their Surf and Turf special which was not your typical combination. This one featured a tended and delicious true filet Mignon accompanied by large prawns stuffed with crab and lobster in a delicate sauce. .. very tasty. My wife opted for their grown up version of lobster mac ‘n cheese and intensely green fresh broccolini. For dessert we shared a croissant bread pudding with a vanilla sauce and espresso that was incredible. After dinner, the manager brought out the Chef for us to meet. All in all, this was an excellent dining experience, probably one of the better ones we had during our 10 day visit to National Harbor and Washington D.C.

Great place for quiet dinner! I originally made my reservation for 7:30pm on a Thursday, but I was running late and informed them of my delayed arrival which they did not mind at all. Upon arrival, I was somewhat confused as to where and who to inform of my arrival to be seated; luckily they approached us with in the first two minutes of arrival. It was very quiet! Not many patrons that evening, which I was quite pleased with considering it was my anniversary dinner and would rather avoid a crowded restaurant. Our waiter was extremely well mannered! He gave the vibe of butler rather than just a waiter. He is very knowledgable of the menu and very attentive. His attentiveness was critical to me considering there were only 2 or 3 other patrons in the entire restaurant at the time. Very familiar with the tastes on the menu as well, which made it easier to choose. Food was delicious! Definitely called Sauciety for a very good reason: they have sauce on everything or for everything. They did NOT skimp out on the amount of crab meat in either my pasta nor my girlfriend’s crab cakes which was I was very ecstatic about(I love actual LUMPS of crabs). The menu is only one sided, very limited, so if you’re looking to go here definitely check out their menu before settling on this establishment because there aren’t much choices. On a good note, the small menu has definitely been perfected! I would most definitely return to this establishment and would recommend it to my friends and family that like seafood. The service was great! The location is great! The view is great! Great place for fancy seafood!

I honestly expected more from a hotel restaurant. I usually don’t give bad reviews but I have to be honest with this one. The service wasn’t bad but the food and décor was embarrassing. The food was bland and the furniture was stained and chipped. The omelet was barely salted and chicken on the chicken and waffles was just weird. It was a flat piece of chicken fried in an indescribable batter. It wasn’t bad but it wasn’t appealing to the eye. The service was Ok. Not entirely attentive but they did their job. The bathroom was also a mess. No toilet paper in the first stall and paper towels everywhere. I would have understood of it was a busy night but I was one of the first ones to use the restroom that morning. The restaurant wasn’t busy and it had a quiet ambiance and scenery. However I’m sorry for this review but it was not their morning to deliver 5 stars.

This place is never crowded… also I always get personable service The mussels are by far the best at the National Harbor… and are priced at an extremely reasonable rate for the amount you get. I’ve always ordered pasta which had been enough to share amongst two ppl… the portions are large! I’ve had lamb chops for the first time here and they were AMAZING… SEATING is extremely comfortable and the view is beautiful facing the Potomac and boats… you can actually lose yourself in this restaurant and forget what plans you had!

not sure if this place is always like this but it was completely empty. the food was a bit too salty but the service was good and the view was even better. i would recommend this place for drinks and possibly to escape the crowds but for food make sure you drink plenty of water before going. the cream of crab soup was very tasty, filled with lots of crab!

I gave this 2 stars simply because Ahmad our server was PHENOMENAL. If this were purely a review on service, it would have easily been a 5 star! My father, mother, newborn and I arrived for dinner for a 530 birthday dinner reservation. As the first customers for the night in restaurant, it took a bit of a long wait to be serviced but our server quickly made up for that. Our apps were FAB but then came the entrees. To be early on restaurant week with a pre fixed menu, our food was undercooked, cold when it arrived, took entirely too long and was under seasoned. We wanted to send all meals back however opted to send the steak which was to be medium well and came severely well done. They apologized saying the cook was not the regular however the steak this time was rare!!! UNBELIEVABLE… not only did we wait for an hour for food on a pre fixed menu but this is the first order in… there is no excuse! The manager did come out and was very pleasant discounting the bill for the steak… however it was not about price… simply about good food in a great space with great service. Net: great service not so great food. I would not recommend this at all. Hope your experiences are better… i was quite disappointed.

Lobster Mac n Cheese! Sauciety is one of my favorites restaurants/bars at the harbor. As a local, I don’t like many of the locations as they cater more to visitors and tourists. However, Sauciety is not like that. I really enjoy the Lobster Mac every time I visit Sauciety. The wings are great as well. And the drinks are always on point. Did I say how much I LOVED the Lobster Mac n Cheese?!?

Today we visited Sauciety for my friend’s birthday for brunch. We arrived at 11:40 and it was practically empty so I didn’t know whether or not this was a good thing or not. Nonetheless my friend wanted to try this spot. Virginia greeted us pleasantly and offered to seat us near the windows to view the Potomac river since its such a beautiful day! The service was great and the food was delicious, 2 of us had chicken and waffles, side of grits and the other person had lobster and shrimp omelet, complimentary bellinis and coffee. Virginia offered the birthday girl bellinis! She was so pleasant, funny and accommodating! Walter was our server and he was super nice and efficient! Overall, our experience was a positive one and if definitely return to Sauciety! If they had the opportunity to offer outdoor seating then that would be a plus.

First the setting. There are wonderful high ceilings and huge windows that look out over the harbor and the Potomac. The restaurant’s West-facing direction allows for beautiful sunset views. The high ceilings with plenty of diffuse light high up means Sauciety manages to be bright but with intimate lighting at the same time. The staff is friendly and provides wonderfully attentive service. Unfortunately, the food doesn’t live up to the setting. The sauces are good, as is the bread. Beyond that, I had issues. The quirkiness of choosing three sauces for your entrée from nine sauce options is nice, but the emphasis on sauces should not mean the food should be overly bland. My crab cake tasted fresh, but was significantly creamier than I’ve ever had and the texture put me off a little. Also, from an occasional tangy bite I wondered if the crab cake was freshly made with some of the crab«mustard»(my least favorite flavor of crab) included. My steak was nicely cooked, but lacked flavor. It didn’t help that both my appetizer and entrée were covered in onions — I like onions but there were so many in both cases that I had to push most of them out of the way to have a fighting chance to taste the main parts of the dishes. One other note is that there’s a very high markup on the wines. The available choices were fine, but I recognized several of them from purchases at the grocery store and wine stores and knew that the single-glass price was ridiculously expensive for what they were.
