This place is ridiculous! It’s so small, dark, dank, moldy ceiling, hot and smelly! I actually had to hang my clothes outside when I got home just to get the smell off! Smells like old food! We ordered a couple of appetizers before our main course and that should have been a warning but the guacamole was not too bad. So we ordered food that tasted like frozen food from a box. No seasonings, no flavor, no satisfaction! Salsa tasted like it was straight from the jar and chips straight from a bag! Please don’t waste your time or money!

Dark, hot, crowded with food that was bland and tasteless. Chips and salsa were bland as well. I think they have potential if they learn the art of seasoning and pay attention to the basic things of a good restaurant such as a clean ceiling, proper temperature, and a core set of food offerings that are unique and crafted for excellence. Think about offering more meat choices such as steak and grilled chicken or shrimp in the burritos and chilli rellenos. Work on your chips so they don’t taste like Tostitos.(See papasitos) Think about grilled choices for different meats.(See Uncle Julios)

The first thing I always try when dining at a new Mexican restaurant is their chimichanga. I’m from California and I have had no luck finding that taste or matching the size around here, but the Cactus Flower nailed it! I had the pork chimichanga, black beans, and rice; it was all very delicious! We also had an appetizer of guacamole to go with our free chips. Very well made and fresh! The restaurant was clean, the ladies were super nice, and the food was fast! You’re going to spend some money, so bring at least $ 30. The prices were a little higher than I was used to, but they were very generous with their chips and salsa. That makes up for the price. However, that is my only small complaint, the chips. They have all this great food, but the chips tasted like they came from a bag. Homemade chips are the best, but who knows, maybe they cost more or something, I don’t know… Doesn’t matter, I highly recommend this place! I’ll be back!

We eat here about twice a month. Friday evening we hit Cactus Flower before the evening rush — and superb again. Alecia, our server, AWESOME and everything from apps to chips to entrees — PERFECT. I highly recommend for lunch or dinner.

Great, friendly service and the Mahi Mahi fish tacos were very good… and I’m not a big fan of fish anything, but thought I would try something new, glad I did.

I miss this place like CRAZY! It was my favorite restaurant when I lived in Fort Walton Beach. Please oh please open a location in Las Vegas Blue crap quesadillas, sangria and salsa — all SO delicious! Their burritos were also amazing and were so big that I could eat it for lunch the next day.

We ate here a few weeks ago. The fish tacos may have been the best I’ve had outside of so cal. Kudos. My wife had the Chile Relleno. It was way over breaded. Didn’t taste very good. She had the«wine margarita» — horrible. Either get a liquor license or take that off the menu. For the money not worth it.

Just had lunch again here. Mary our server was pleasant, friendly and attentive. I ordered the Mahi Tacos which were good. They only draw back was there was very little Mahi in the taco. It was all the way at the bottom and was lost among all the lettuce and other stuff. I barely could taste it. The guacamole was yummy with big chunks of avocado but no red onion. I like this place and will return.

The only thing I have ever had was the Chicken ChimmyChonga. I’d love one now. Great service, consistently delivers great ChimmyChickenChonga’s! Bruce Common

We had the guac appetizer, yummy, and the chips and salsa are free with free refills too. Salsa isn’t spicy. chicken tortilla soup(order it hot) wasn’t too spicy and was Delish. I have the Verde Enchiladas, absolutely wonderful. Ordered extra sour cream on the side but didn’t even touch it, bc they didn’t need it at all. Hubby got the chicken chili rellano, took 15 min to cook(they told us it would take longer to cook) and it was legit! More than worth the wait. Just give it some time to cool off. Temp was really hot from baking in oven that whole time. We’ll be back for sure!

The last night of vacation to one of our favorite places in the world and the whole family was in the mood for Mexican food. Did a search on Unilocal for Mexican and ended up at Cactus Flower Café. We had to wait ½ hour or so for a table but it was a Saturday evening after all, and, as it turned out, it was totally worth it. My choice was Mahi Mahi Tacos and they were super flavorful, some of the best fish tacos I’ve ever had. My taste buds were overloaded in a good way. I also sampled small amounts of the Santa Fe enchiladas, vegetarian burrito, and beef quesadillas thanks to all of my dining partners(aka wife and kids). All were tasty but I was very satisfied with my choice. Chips and salsa were just right, too. The service was good. Our server, Jess, was on it. What a great way to end our trip to the Emerald Coast! We’ll definitely make it a point to get back to the CFC on our next trip to Navarre Beach.

Really… where the heck have you guys been… yep, hiding… small hidden treasure right here in Navarre. Not your run of the mill Mexican restaurant with the same menu options… it’s Culinary!!! YOU gotta try this place! Enough said… no joke.

Great fish tacos and pork verde. Salsa with chips is a little tomato-y. Not enough spice for me. And the sangria is sweet. More like juice, and doesn’t give much of a kick. Great for Navarre though and this place will be packed if you don’t show up early.

Your average Tex-Mex, just more pretentious. I understand that they were going for classy with the all black uniforms and overly detached attitudes, however it just came off as snobby and cold. The restaraunt is small and overcrowded. We were seated at a small table near the drink station as no booths were available. It felt very«elbow to elbow.» I understood the reason for the uncomfortably long wait upon seeing the very large table as I left. However, in retrospect the wait would have been more bearable if the waitress had dropped the cold and pretentious act long enough to explain that. The food was mediocre. Perhaps the hype set me up for disappointment, but I was underwhelmed. If anyone asked me personally what I thought about this restaraunt, I would refer them instead to Burrito Del Sol in Fort Walton Beach which is a much more original and tasty take on Tex Mex for a far more realistic price.

Awesome establishment! I have been here several times since moving to Navarre. The staff are friendly and the food is terrific. The ground beef tacos on corn tortillas are the best! They have a good selection of beer in bottles and a few other cocktail selections. The salsa is very good and they will just keep filling up your container with it. The chips come from a bag which would be my only negative note. They are good chips but I think they should go with house made like a lot of other similar establishments. Great Mexican restaurant! I highly recommend it. It gets very very busy on Friday nights.

This place is simply awesome. From California so the«California Mexican» style was right up my alley. Initially I thought it was going to be kind of run down just by how small it looked from the outside but inside it was very nice. Light music in the background, staff dressed REALLY professional. Salsa was exceptional! My burrito with shredded pork was soooo good. Chimichanga bites appetizer was also delicious. Wife loved her enchiladas. It was all great and I’ll be going back when I need some Mexican food in my life!

What a surprise! This place is truly some of the best mexican I have ever had. Portions are huge so sharing is recommended. We shared the chicken enchiladas verde which was such a delight. The sides of black beans and rice was also very tasty. Sangria was very fruity and refreshing. I would have given this place 5 stars but I had to deduct one star because it is located in a small strip mall that inside is a little dark with few windows. Service was excellent and next time in town we will be back
