Long wait at 2 pm on a Sunday with two people in front of me and then to top it off I found a hair in my sandwich. Enjoyed lunch on the teeny patio with a birds nest and bird poop accoutrements

Was visiting the Nederland area for the day with my husband and the Boars Head meat sign convinced us to try The DELI at 8236. Service was good and friendly. Bathroom was clean. Plenty of seating. Maybe we ordered wrong. We both had cold sandwiches with the Boars Head meat. Meat was good, veggies were fresh, but the bread was one step up from awful. Bread can make or break a sandwich and this one is broken.

Amazing place. Boyfriend and I were up for the weekend and decided to check it out. Super friendly place and great food. Munster grilled cheese was amazing. My boyfriend loved the Cuban.

Went here after our hike and it was exactly what we needed. Great menu, good size subs and very reasonable prices. Plenty of outdoor seating and one of the best chicken parm subs I’ve had in a very long time. For those eating cold sub, they have boars head meat which is a huge plus, for me anyway. Will 100% come back next time I’m in the area!

Great little deli! I’ve had a few different sandwiches and have never gone wrong! They are friendly, and don’t seem to get«overwhelmed» when there are more than 2 customers in the vicinity like other businesses in Ned. They also have a little bit of seating outside. Hot and cold subs are both amazing! Definitely 5 stars!

Great place to eat. We had a salami/turkey/Swiss on gluten free and also the Rachel on gluten free. Both were delicious. Reasonable prices. VERY courteous staff. We’ll eat there again for sure.

This place has never failed me. I usually get the mozzarella fresca: pesto, tomato, fresh mozz. I add balsamic and sometimes get it pressed. I also like the meatball or eggplant parms. The place has a lot of heart. Monday nights they host the Lovin’ Cup Community Kitchen where anyone can come and eat a specially prepared meal for free(not the usual menu). Donations are accepted, but not expected. They encourage everyone to attend to create community and share a meal. When the weather is nice, there is outdoor seating on the back deck or on the front sidewalk. It’s always nice to stop in. Good vibes.

Enjoyed our sandwich while basking in the sun with our dog on the back patio. Good stop.

Hippies. They make a recurrent sandwich, even half baked. They could keep the place a little cleaner. Had the turkey pesto panini, very tasty. Also tried the clam chowder, pretty good. The«Dead Head» ambiance was represented well by these dudes.

Do you love sandwiches? You should eat here. I’ve been here a few times, but was really inspired after a trip last week to share the love. My Cuban was AMAZING. Hot and crusty without being greasy, it was perfectly toasted and the fresh meats and cheese make a huge difference. The staff person was really helpful as I tried to make up my mind about lunch(everything sounded delicious). He even gave us advice about other places to check out in town. The Deli is a great place to stop during events in Ned, after ski days at Eldora, or whenever you just really want a good sandwich from cool people.

Great place for a sandwich! Fresh tasty ingredients and great service, although it can get busy at peak times. As a local, this is the best place in town to grab a quick sandwich.

I visited The Deli on my vacation in February 2013. I had the turkey reuben and was fabulous! The staff was friendly and the décor takes on a Grateful Dead theme. When we come back to Denver, we will definately come back to the Deli!!!

Food: 4 stars Price: 2 stars Service: 3 stars The sandwiches here are tasty. No doubt about it. Not fantastic, but tasty. And consistently good. Whatever you order, you will find the food entirely satisfactory. However… The prices, for what you get, are significantly too high. A 6″ cold sub is $ 7.50, while a 6″ hot sub is $ 7.95. With no side(s). I understand that prices in a mountain town tend to be higher than in the bigger areas, but somehow, as I looked at the smallish sandwich on the otherwise bare plate, my $ 8 seemed to have been misspent. The service was both bad and good. There was only one guy working in the entire place, at the height of the lunch hour. He was working his butt off. A very good employee, pleasant, efficient, handling order-taking, sandwich making, cash register duties, counter and table cleaning, etc. I’m not sure how he managed it all.(We left him a nice tip in the jar by the register.) But one employee, no matter how good he may have been, was in no way sufficient to handle the number of customers. If you just must have a little sub sandwich, this place will satisfy the urge. Otherwise, check out some of the other places in town.

I have been here many times… Service is efficient and the quality is always really good. I really like the crunchy rolls and the Chicken Salad is delicious. I recommend giving it try if your in Ned for lunch.

Our family of five stumbled into the Deli five minutes before closing. Instead of running us off our server was very nice and patiently accommodated all of our requests. Everyone really liked the sandwiches but the Cheesecake and fresh cannoli’s were real hits. Delicious! The ambiance was a nice surprise as we shared a memorable meal out on the back porch. A nice experience. Enjoyed the Grateful Dead memorabilia!

I had the steak(beef) and cheddar sandwich up here during Frozen Dead Guy Days. The staff did a very good job at cranking out good quality sandwiches in a timely fashion despite the large crowd that was here for the event. My sandwich was delicious and the brownie I had equally so! Despite the small restaurant being busy there always seemed to be someone there to ask me if I needed anything else. Very well managed! I went by another restaurant that I was considering but the line was out the door! Here at Bella’s I was able to get a seat and enjoy my lunch! I will definitely keep this place in mind next time I am in Nederland!

First things to try: 1. Cuban sandwich 2. Veggie-and-cheese. The bread is crusty — more baguette than sub roll — and the Boar’s Head case is well-stocked. Good mustard on the Cuban, and reasonable pickles. Most importantly, the meat is cut nice and thin. Usually a one-or-two-person shop — if there’s only one person slinging sandwich fixings during the lunch rush, it can be 10 min. The drink selection is reasonable but not large(Coke, San Pellegrino, etc). Piles of Grateful Dead posters, a few Hendrix, etc. Overall, this is my favorite sandwich in Nederland — and the leftovers were still good almost-frozen after skiing at Brainerd Lake. I won’t bother packing a lunch when heading up Boulder Canyon, I’ll just plan a short stop at Bella’s.
