I have been a customer of PK for 15 years and can’t say enough good things about them. I am 45 and have suffered from alopecia since I was in my late teens. For women, loosing hair can destroy your self esteem. When I found PK, I got my self esteem back. The prices here aren’t cheap but honestly I don’t think about that because the quality and service is amazing. I have some friends who have known me for years and have no idea I wear a wig. Most folks are truly shocked when I tell them. I currently live in NY where there are lots of places to get wigs but I still travel to PK to get my wigs. There really is no other place like it anywhere! Totally worth every penny and every hour in travel time!

My hair began thinning almost 30 years ago, but it wasn’t until recently that I began to research a solution. I found PK Walsh during an internet search. They appealed to me because the cater to women with hair loss. I made an online appointment for a consultation and received a phone call from Kathy Walsh, the founder, within 30 minutes.
When I went for my consultation, I felt no pressure at all. In fact, I felt very at ease discussing my situation. It turned out that, aside from possibly costly surgery with no guaranteed long-​lasting result, the only option for my hair loss was a «hair addition». A hair addition, I would soon find out, is a human hair piece that sits atop my own hair. During my consultation, Kathy allowed me to try a few different pieces. I almost cried when I saw myself with a full head of hair once again. I ended up placing an order and then going in a few weeks later for customization. The addition matched my natural hair color perfectly. It was astonishing. My PK Walsh stylist, Jen, cut and styled my hair and the addition. She taught me how to arrange and style it. She offered to be available by phone if I had questions until my standard follow-​up visit a few weeks later.
When I went to work on the Monday following my visit, I received nothing but compliments. Close friends knew I had gotten a hair addition. Acquaintances merely thought I finally got an updated hairstyle. I am pretty open, so I’ve shared my story with many. I’m writing this review so that other women may be encouraged to seek help for their hair loss without fear and trepidation. It’s been a few months now and I remain delighted with my hair. PK Walsh is now my «regular» salon. It is worth the drive from Providence to Needham to find such wonderful and caring service.
It’s not often one gets to say this in seriousness, but PK Walsh has changed my life radically.

I’ve always been known for my beautiful red hair hair. so to say the least, I was mortified when I noticed my hair beginning to thin. Embarrassed and not sure where to turn. With so many online wig stores and other hair replacement places around, it’s confusing where to go and who to turn to. Even my DR didn’t have any answers other than minoxidil and I wasn’t about to do that! After researching for a while, I decided to make an appointment at PK Walsh mainly because they specialize in women’s hair loss. I met with Nikki Walsh and she really took the time to answer all my questions, even the ones I didn’t know I had. She educated me on various products i could use to help and possibilities in the future if my thinning became worse. I liked the fact that she wasn’t pushy in trying to sell me something, and at that time let me know that moving towards purchasing a hair piece would not be ideal for me. Nikki was honest, caring, and so knowledgeable. I would recommend PK Walsh to any women who needs help with hair thinning or hair loss. My privacy was important and when the time comes for a wig, PK Walsh is the place I will go to.
