Great coffee shop. Fun maze of rooms and books. Food usually pretty good but stopped for the BLT special yesterday and for $ 6.50 I expected something a little more than a couple small dry pieces of toast, a little bit of mayo not evenly spread, and white pieces of iceberg lettuce. I would think they would have special bread just for the BLT, some green or red leaf lettuce at least, warm up the bacon a little, etc. Make it a SPECIALBLT. But it was just a plain, dumpy sandwich that one would get out of a vending machine for a couple bucks. :(

Very neat. Family style. Not the traditional«hip» coffee shop. Give it a try if you want to try something different. Great coffee – great food and pastries. A tad cold in the wintertime so bring a cozy cardigan! Staff is ok.

Shellattes is my absolute favorite coffee shop. Yes, their specialty drink, the shellatte, is delicious. More impressive to me, as an avid coffee drinker, is their plain latte. Sugar can make any drink tasty, but their simple latte is by far and away the best I’ve had. It is both rich and bold in flavor. When I was living in Appleton, I made the drive to Shellattes for my coffee rather than going anywhere else. It’s well worth it. The food options are also very tasty! What makes Shellattes more than just a coffee shop is the customer experience. Shelly is an absolute joy, and stopping in for coffee always brightened my day!

Great local café! They have excellent customer service. Their menu varies each day, but always includes something unique and creative. The baked oatmeal(any flavor) is amazing. The soups match well with all of their sandwiches — homemade and fresh. The atmosphere is fun. Lots of small rooms with cozy furniture. Great place for a quiet chat with a friend. There is also a small used book store inside.

I truly love this place. I stop at least once a day. Great lattes and personal service. Their chai selection is extensive and delicious. Home cooked food is hearty. Soups are to die for. Sandwiches are not anything fancy but they taste good. The used book and knock knacks shop is reasonably priced and has some hidden gems. Great outlet placement and free wi fi. Best coffee shop in the area.

Cost coffee shop with great books and a warm, inviting atmosphere. The chai is served in these large pottery cups and there are plenty of great, healthy snacks in addition to some yummy treats.

This coffee shop is tops! If you’re tired of blasé Keurig coffee this is the antidote. The pastries are really good– I had the cherry coffee cake. They had an outdoor patio and if I were retired Id come down there every morning and have a coffee and read the paper. The parking lot around the patio has some barren areas and it would be cool to see some flower gardens.

Best place for coffee in Neenah! Shelly has made a warm and inviting atmosphere for you to sit and enjoy her homemade pastries and food. Read your book or newspaper or browse the book store for something to read. You will not be disappointed.

I randomly stumbled into this café/used book store a couple years ago when visiting my parents in Neenah. Now I came back at least once every time I visit. In fact, my mom is now hooked on this place and is a regular customer. So much now that they know her when she comes in. That also speaks to the friendliness of both the owner and the people who work here, who seem to greet their regulars with genuine welcomes. No Starbucks barista snootiness at this place! The atmosphere is comfortable, the coffee is good. And be sure to try the baked oatmeal — delicious!

Love Shellattes! I love coffee shops, great place to read, meet with friends, study, finish up paperwork… etc. Shellattes offers great chai, coffee and other drinks in a relaxing environment, and I’m absolutely hooked on their baked oatmeal! They also have a lot of other great meal options too! Love this place!

7÷25÷2012UPDATE — Shellatte’s has become my go-to coffee joint on the weekends! I was a big fan when this business was Generations and I am happy to see that Shelly and the crew are carrying on the tradition of friendly service with a family feel. Don’t tell my Mom, but judging by the cold case, scones, and pasta salad I was fortunate enough to sample one morning, I think Shelly may be a better cook. This is the right choice if you are looking for coffee in Neenah and Menasha!

WOW– finally a five star espresso in the Fox River Valley. Made with care, using freshly ground espresso beans from PT’s in Topeka, KS, served in a clear glass demitasse with lots of crema. Perfect, perfect. This is in an old converted house, with a used bookstore, lots of nooks and crannies to relax and savor perfection.

If you like amazing coffee(and let’s be real, who doesn’t?) this place is the place to go. Why? They combine two of the best things in the history of the coffee world: Alterra Coffee Roasters Espresso and a Rancilio MANUAL lever espresso machine. The manual machine gives these guys more control over their espresso than you’ll be able to get ANYWHERE. Though the machine can make great coffee and the staff pulls great shots, occasionally their milk frothing can leave something to be desired(you know, it depends on who is working). They also have one of the largest flavor lists INTHEWORLD(this is not an exaggeration) and their sugar free offerings are out of control, helping you, of course, maintain calorie control. Because the machine can make such divine espresso, you can drink a lot more of it in a drink without the drink getting bitter or gross. This is good if you have a lot of stuff to get done and you need some caffeine to inspire you. Because of this, I’d recommend getting 1 or 2 more shots of espresso in your drink than you would normally get: e.g. a 3 shot 16 oz, or a 5 shot 20 oz. Also, they have Rishi tea, which is, hands down, the best tea around. And it is from Milwaukee, so it’s a Wisconsin company, which is rad. The atmosphere is somewhat lacking… it’s sort of like a coffee shop meets your grandmother’s house, but get over the décor and get some awesome drinks.
