Great pour over! Small roaster, tucked away from everything, but a great find. Owner super cool, friendly and loved to talk coffee.

We’d gotten free coffee at our motel, but it was so mediocre we searched for something better. Uncommon Grounds roasts onsite and drip brews a great cup of coffee. The owner is helpful and loves to talk coffee. He’s been plagued by road construction lately but that’s about over. Don’ let anything deter you from a great cup!

Bought the raw Ethiopian beans, and roasted at home. 8 minutes in an air popper gives you the first«crack». Add one minute, and you are done. As fresh as you can get. I do about 3 ounces per roast. Ready to try my next variety. Owner very helpful, always nice to buy where you are welcomed, even if it’s for one pound of raw beans.

This is my favorite place to stop in for a cup of coffee. It is a little off the beaten path, but it is totally worth finding. I have tried a couple items off the menu but I keep going back to the café con leche. The extremely high quality of the coffee speaks for itself. The owner is extremely nice and knowledgeable.

For the most part, the fresher the coffee, the better. Stuff on store shelves often spends a month or more languishing in warehouses, on trucks, and sitting on store shelves before it makes it to your cupboard. Appleton now has its own coffee roaster, and you can buy coffee that was roasted, at the very most, just a few days ago. I have never met a person who’s more passionate about coffee than Dan, the owner/operator at Uncommon Grounds. He can tell you anything backwards and forwards about his blends, roasts, where he gets the beans from, how the coffee was grown, and the history of coffee. He makes the entire experience of enjoying a great cup of coffee just that much better. Stop in, pick up a bag of beans, and Dan will give you a free pour-over coffee. You’ll be happy you did, and you’ll definitely learn a few things in the process.

My go-to spot in Appleton for local, freshly roasted beans as well as pour-over coffee. Excellent quality beans, and a friendly, passionate owner. I particularly recommend the Harmony Blend.

If you’re a coffee connoisseur you’re going to love this place. Freshly roasted pour over coffee from a guy who is passionate about what he does. It’s a little off the beaten path but well worth it! Definitely the best coffee in Appleton!
