I love how everything, at least everything I inquired about, was grown without pesticides and hormones. I enjoyed being able to talk to the farmers who grow the food, as they are also the ones who sell it. I also felt like the prices were really great. I got a huge head of cabbage for $ 2, a large bunch of kale for $ 2, 5 oranges and 2 grapefruits for $ 6.50(so far the most delicious orange I’ve had in a long time– stay tuned for the grapefruit update!), and 10 eggs for $ 5. The chickens are free roaming and only go into coops at night to sleep so they’re not hunted by predators. The woman who talked to me about the chickens eased all of my concerns as I did not want any eggs from chickens in cages or pens or coops. The market was very small, but I’m assuming the weather may have discouraged some of the vendors from showing up(just a theory?). Regardless, it was really lovely. A great variety of seasonal produce, some vendors selling things like grains, maple syrup, etc. Looking forward to going back next Saturday!

The beaches are has been in dire need of high quality foods. This farmers market has done just that, by bringing good produce and local crafted goods. By providing a healthier lifestyle and improving the local economy by giving local craftsmen a venue to sell their wares. There is also an EBT/SNAP program in place that not only allows EBT users to get farm fresh foods, it DOUBLES your swipe up to $ 20. With $ 40 market chips that you get for $ 20EBT you can easily feed you and your family farm fresh food while supporting your local farmers. It’s a win win for everyone!

First of all, I like the fact this is a later market. I’m not much of a morning person plus the drive is quite a trek from Murray Hill. This market set up is actually my favorite kind: quaint, neighborhood friendly, local vendors with mainly produce or plants the grower grows himself. No crafts & knick knacks, no loud music, minimal fast food vendors and everything just at a smaller, pleasant scale. I actually love this little market. It has a different vibe than RAM and is definitely more intimate than Beaver Street’s. The vendors here are friendly and engaging. My last visit a vendor was selling a whole big tray of live organic microgreens for just $ 10. I thought that was terrific. And another vendor had a great selection of plants for sale at competitive prices. If you’re like me, you will definitely want to bring cash with you. I try to bring between $ 40 – 60 cash just in case I just have to have something or want to grab a snack there. If you’re buying a lot, most vendors will work with you price-wise if you ask. However, most of the products offered are already reasonably priced. I would come here more often if I lived closer for sure.

Fun farmers type market full of vendors offering varieties of goods. Lots of organic foods and veggies, meet new people and enjoy walking through the fresh air market. We met a wonderful vendor from Kenya who was selling organic coffee from his village, all the proceeds from the coffee sells went to support the village where the coffee was hand grown and lovingly processed. We enjoyed talking with different vendors, learning where their goods originated, tasting wonderful & delicious offerings, and brought home some amazing foods & coffee! Stop by and Enjoy!

I really liked this little market. It’s been bookmarked for months but I finally had a chance to stop by Saturday. If you haven’t had a chance to stop by it’s definitely worth doing. Somehow I was expecting a very large event like RAM, but it’s actually a much smaller more intimate setting. As of 1⁄15 there were probably about 15 vendors out. There may be more in the Summer when more produce is in season, but as of now it was a pretty small affair. Beaches Green Market is located in Jarboe park, which is right off of 3rd street in Neptune beach. There was plenty of parking along the road and in the park. We parked farther away and enjoy a walk in the mark. Jarboe has a nice paved walking path if you want to do the same. When we got to the market there was a local guitarist playing music for the crowd, and by the time we left a local high school brass band was playing which was cool to see. There was a small grouping of 10×10 tents set up for vendors. I was able to pick up some awesome Mayport shrimp that were swimming in the ocean the day before. It’s cool because I could actually talk to the fisherman who caught them, and he had some suggestions on seasoning and back-story on how the shrimp were looking this week. I also grabbed some beautiful carrots and green onions that were grown locally and were just pulled out of the ground, rather than having been on a refrigerated shelf at Publix for weeks. Some other vendors were selling farm raised eggs, meat, raw milk, handmade soap, and locally roasted coffee. They have a good mix. All in all I really liked this farmers market and I’ll definitely be back. It’s small so it doesn’t replace RAM, but I don’t think that’s something they ever set out to do. More of a little neighborhood market with some amazing products brought to you by some really passionate people.

I love this market! It’s always growing and changing, week to week with friendly knowledgeable vendors. Seasonal produce, starter plants for home gardens, eggs, dairy products, seasonal meats, fermented probiotic foods, fresh baked breads and pastries, lemonade/coffee/vegan dips/hummus etc, various artisan homemade products from aromatherapy to dog treats! This market literally has everything I need for the week! It is a rain or shine market, they only cancel if there’s lightning. I have called on thunderstorm days to inquire if they will be open or not, someone always answers, which is extremely professional! Much praise to everyone at Beaches Green Market for all of your hard work, providing delicious and nutritious to the neighborhood!

The truest green market between Orlando and the Georgia line. How lucky we are to have it right here in our backyard but definately worth a drive for anyone out of area. Every time I go, there is consistent true seasonal produce where you can meet the actual farmer behind the booth and all the artists(soap, tea, pet treats, and even natural bug spray) actually make all their own stuff and can answer any question you might have regarding ingredients, etc. I hear the market has some strict management and that has preserved the authentic farmer market environment I have found nowhere else on the Florida N.E.Coast. I find I am able to do all my grocery shopping for the week here, except for buying milk or other dairy. Granted, I may spend a bit more money buying local & organic/natural but the difference in taste and quality is oh-so-worth it for my family. Variety here is great. This past week I bought amazing strawberries, locally grown blueberries, organic pea shoots, cucumbers, paty pan squash, a basil plant, handmade coconut macaroons, ginger cookies, a bright boquet of fresh flowers, local fish, local beef, cat grass, handcrafted shea butter soap, and the best handmade iced tea/lemonade thing I have ever had in my life. A local band often plays some fun light rock songs w/harmonic and guitar and kids have fun dancing away. This market is very kid and pet friendly. Lots of families. Tips for shopping here: 1. Sign up for the market newsletter and also any farmer/rancher’s/artist newsletter you want to keep up on as Natalie said. 2. Bring cash as many vendors can’t take credit cards. 3. Market hours are from 2−5pm. Go before 3pm to get the best produce. 4. Treat yourself at least once. Buy a gourmet iced tea, cookie, flowers, or a plant before you leave. Smile!

im with matt b – the market has tons of potential. it just seems like vendors arent really biting. with so many arts markets & farmers markets popping up on saturdays — it seems like vendors may be going elsewhere. id love to see more food vendors — with actual FOOD there. they do have some good choices with produce — though it seems like everytime ive gone its been later in the day — so im probably getting last pick.

Winter produce is at its height at the Green Market! Last week, I bought the following: Broccoli Cauliflower Brussell Sprouts(on the stalk!) Fresh Spinach Butternut Squash Spaghetti Squash Onions White Creamer Potatoes A bounty of fresh herbs(chives, thyme, rosemary) 2 dozen Farm Fresh Eggs(Musickal Acres) Oranges Tips for the Market: (1) Get on the email list for the different farms(Cognito, Musickal Acres). You can preorder your eggs, meats(pasture raised chickens, pork, etc), and cheeses. There is also a weekly email sent out by the Beaches Food Network. (2) Get there early! The best produce goes very quickly (3) Get to know your farmers! Building relationships and knowing where your food comes from is paramount. I heart you Green Market!

This market has great potential. It began not long after I started envisioning one in the area, so it was a delight to see one random Saturday afternoon. I would like a better produce selection, but hopefully it builds momentum and gets some better goods.

This place is great! I stumbled on it this summer while I was cruising around and they really do have some great stuff! Two things I wanted to mention in addition to the previous review that Natalie left. One, the produce guy tends to run out so you definitely want to go closer than 2pm to get the best selection. Two, Growers Alliance Coffee is awesome. The Kenya Coffee has a deep, rich flavor. They also make sure that the growers themselves get a good chunk of the profits. You can check out their whole mission on . If you are a coffee fan, I highly recommend them!
