Came here during Memorial Day weekend with some friends. Drinks were great, food was iffy. I asked if they had steamed clams and they told me no, but they had raw clams, grilled clams and some clam special with tomatoes, onions and garlic. I settled for grilled clams. We got them and they were sandy and had small pieces of shells on the clams. They also tasted a little fishy. We didn’t finish them. We ordered a wrap that also wasn’t that great. My friend and I ordered turkey burgers and mine was delivered to me without a bun. When I got one and my friend and I ate out burgers, our stomachs hurt a little later in the day. Overall, a cool place. I may go back but just for drinks.

Stopped in for some food and a few drinks. Raw clams on a half shell were huge which is kinda gross. Wings were decent, sushi is good, but the T-bone was tiny. Overall ehhh… I’ve had good experiences there before however.

One of Gern’s favorite seaside watering holes. The place is therapy for your palate. Nothing fancy but the beer is always cold, the food good, and reasonably priced. The servers are incredibly attentive. They constantly check on you and they’re really good about accommodating special requests and substitutions. Perfect place for a beer and quick bite after the beach. Gern recommends sitting on the patio if the weather is good.

The boyfriend shared with me a little bit of his childhood today with a afternoon trip to Kelly’s. He told me stories how he used to come here with his grandparents when he was five and how the place still has the same vibe as it did back then. He indulged in a good ol pint of Smithwicks. We kicked off our hanger with the fried mushroom caps. And then splurged on the beast of the Giant Reuben. The Reuben was one for the record books. Served open faced, which surprised me, but was nothing short of incredible. Every single component of this sandwich was perfection. This is by no means an everyday sandwich but Kelly’s sure is an everyday kind of place.

The BESTLOADEDPOTATOSOUPEVER! This place is my all time FAVORITE restaurant! The mini Ruben is piled high with corn beef and a ton of melted cheese. The wings are GRILLED and crispy to perfection. This place also has some pretty good sushi. Love this place it is highly highly recommended by me!

Great place where you can’t go wrong. Been going to Kelly’s for 20+ years and they never let me down. Fair prices, big portions and great service even with big crowds.

I have not been here for years. I just had the breakfast burrito. It is 100% as good as I remembered. And the service is great too. I recommend it with no reservations.

I used to go here more as a kid and always remember it being great. I have been back now twice as an adult and haven’t been disappointed. It has a very warm Irish pub feel that is very inviting. I’ve had the shepard’s pie both times and it is great. My father had the reuben which had some of the best corned beef I’ve ever had. He both had soups(Irish potato and cream of tomato) both of which where very good. I would highly recommend Kelly’s if you’re in the area.

Seriously, I used to go to this Jersey Shore classic in my 20’s. On a visit to the East Coast, and propelled by an insatiable desire for a great Rubin(not so easy on the West Coast) I thought I’d see if Kelly’s was still around. YAY! they are and nothing of importance has changed(I think the same customers are still there, a bet a tad older.) I love the fellow who took our order; a classic no nonsense dry humour Jersey gentleman, who delivered the oversized, just as I remembered it delicious Reuben. It really is comforting when some things don’t change.

Well what can I say? My wife and I went driving around to find a place to have lunch and after checking out Sunsets(obviously closed) we doubled back and went to Kelly’s where we were able to sit right away at a high back table with super uncomfortable chairs. So we opted for the bar seating with very little seat comfort as well. Seems the stools haven’t been changed up or update in forever.?! So on to the food… We ordered the spicy fires and I found them not even remotely spicy, but good waffle fries anyway. Then my wife orders the boneless chicken wings with a thai sauce(not bad) but I’ve had better and I ordered the Mahi blackened sandwich and there is where this review ends… Must have picked the wrong time of year and they picked the wrong fish! Oh and the men’s room has NODOOR! That should be a health violation?!!

Have always heard great things about this place. Had a late lunch there today on their outside patio The food wasn’t bad but wasn’t great either. The service was on the slower side and the place could use a good cleaning and an update. Overall I wasn’t impressed but I would go back and give it another try.

My favorite on earth albeit 70 miles away. Iced Teas and full Rubens with some calamari with great garlic bread. Free pop corn to BS over. Excellent quick service. Little wait on getting your booze too. Place is crowded on Tuesday nights in February. Steady clientele. Belmar St Paddies day parade. 4 ged a bow dit!!!

Been going to Kelly’s for 5 years. It’s my favorite 19th Hole after a round of golf. Prices are not cheap, usually in the $ 50 range for two people, but the food is usually very good and the service is always excellent. I’m partial to the rib eye, chili, calamari, crab legs, and the rueben — mostly comfort foods.

I’ve always enjoyed Kelly’s and the food & service is great. I was disappointed when my bill came and our mimosas were $ 8. That’s overpriced for the quality of the mimosa.

Sad to say Kelly’s has changed. Service use to be great and the beer was the coldest on the Jersey shore. Now the service is slow, you wait to get served and get disrespected by staff. Use to be our favorite place to go, now we’ll probably never be back. What happened Kevin?

I have been going to Kellys for over 50 years. I had the worst meal ever. My wife and I went there for lunch. She ordered the soft shell crab and I ordered the steak au prove. After my wife tasted the Cole slaw that came with her meal. She said that it was too hot and spicey. I tasted it and agreed. It was so spicey hot that it ruined the taste of all our food. When my steak came out it was cold. I had to send it back to be reheated. After being reheated and brought out to me I poured some of the gravy over the steak. It was the worst tasting gravy I ever tasted. My wife tasted it and agreed. When the waitress asked if everything was OK I said no and told her that it was the worst meal I ever had. She said she appreciated my comments and apologized. She then charged me full price for this horrible meal. If she was smart, she would have takenn something off the price of the bill and I would have tipped her. Instead she charged full price and got no tip.

Thank you Kelly’s for getting that annoying family with the screaming child to leave your BAR. I’m sure everyone appreciates it and it is so refreshing to see a place stand up to that one asshole instead of letting the rest of us suffer. Will definitely swing by :)

Usual Irish pub, good music, a little dark with the lighting(for me), will definately go back! Great fried ice cream. Drinks were reasonably priced, I guess it depends which bartender makes it, my first drink was pretty good, but my second one was better.

Good food. Loud atmosphere. Lots of TVs. Big bar. You get it. The food is better than standard pub fare, and Irish specialties. Had the $ 10 lobster special and it was just that, a $ 10 lobster. It tasted like it was made from frozen but my expectations were low since it was $ 10. Burgers are great, fries good, etc. Service was attentive. Definitely a shore crowd gathers here, it’s a «come as you are» place. All very good. 4 stars because this is a bar. A very loud bar– with decent food.

I’ve frequented Kelly’s on several occasions in the past 10 yrs. Never been disappointed, but never blown away either. They have very good happy hour specials and free munchies. Game day specials. Kick ass St. Pat gig with more of a mature crowd then«Bar A» or the rest of Bellmar The food is reasonably priced and good but far from great. The black Russian open face sandwich is horrendous(see for yourself). They have a raw bar with all usual seafood along with sushi. Worth a pop in, but not a place to drive out of your way other then for the many specials they offer which justify the trip.
