We love to go there on sunday mornings after church. The food is great, the service is personal. Such a great way to start the day.

We had a few terrible experiences with the previous owner JT. This guy had absolutely no idea how to run a business from a people/customer service persepctive. People cannot believe the multiple stories we had and we decided to stop going there for years. We found out that there were new owners and were thrilled to return. The new owners are great and their food is better. We visit there frequently and always have a great meal. Their corned beef hash is the best I ever had if I decide to indulge. Don’t miss this little gem in Nesconset.

Casual eatery and friendly staff. The croissant breakfast sandwich I had was a big portion — eggs were fluffy and it had just the right amount of cheese. Their sausage links were awesome — peppery and juicy. Home fries as well were great. If in the area I would definitely come back here and get the same exact thing.

I came here because of the reviews, but I fail to see the hype. I came here with a friend from brunch and ordered a Hash Bunker, which is two eggs served on corned beef hash with melted cheese and ham. The eggs were done well(I got them over medium), and the pieces of the dish worked together nicely. The corned beef hash was also nice, though it was on the drier, saltier side(not really in a good way, in my opinion) so it made it hard to cut everything together consistently, and made the combination of things less enjoyable. I definitely liked what I got, but I was pretty unimpressed, especially given what my other options in the area are(Maureen’s, Javier’s). Perhaps that’s me holding this place to too high of a standard, but I regardless, I don’t see myself coming here over those places. The place itself had a weird vibe to me… it felt a bit run-down and flippant. I was expecting it to be very home-y, but after going, I wouldn’t quite call it that either. The menu seems to be very expansive, and it does not seem to fill up very easily, which are both pluses. I can see this place cultivating regulars because it’s in a relatively small town, but it seems boring otherwise. I don’t feel any spark or sense of charm to this place, and the wait staff seems a bit spotty, which made my visit a little awkward as well.

We were very bummed to see the place changed hands but gave it a try and were very disappointed my husband didn’t eat his sandwich at all but I must say our server noticed and was wonderful he removed it from the bill and asked what could be done to improve. I think they just need a little more time to get things going but you need to have fresh good cold cuts if you’re going to make sandwiches and burgers. Always go with thin skinned Boars Head and not previously frozen burgers and it will improve. I’ll give them another try in the future and hope they get it together!

Place is an excellent departure from the normal diner breakfast option. It’s a nice mix or fusion between diner & small mom & pop breakfast nook. They have a lot of creative and different options, we git omelets and they were fantastic.

Overall disappointment. It is a nice convenient location with an interesting menu. Upon arrival, we were greeted by the owner with a point to a table and a scowl. No good morning, no smile. Waitress was very nice but not very attentive. The food was mediocre at best. The pancakes tasted like raw flour and were not fluffy. My wife’s omelet with goat cheese had about a Inc little smear of cheese and was very dry. The coffee was luke warm. In a small neighborhood place like this they really should try to be a little more friendly and inviting. Overall a disappointing experience. We will not be returning.

What a great spot! Delicious food, friendly waitstaff and the restaurant is very clean. They also happen to have the best hash I’ve had on Long Island!

Great little breakfast joint somewhat hidden in a small strip mall. Expansive menu, excellent service & food. Loved the chicken sausage & potatoes(cooked until crispy on the outside, but not overdone… just right!). Minor points off for a bit too much potato in the hash, but that’s just a personal preference(it was different & not bad at all… I’d prefer more corned beef). Cozy little place that gets busy on weekend mornings. Definitely recommended if you’re in the area.

Cute little place that offers both breakfast and lunch options. I liked it more then my wife, mostly because of her disappointing Pear French Toast. The bread was obviously factory fresh. All four slices were exactly the same size, thickness and machine impressed underside. They cut up some pears threw them on top and wha-la there it is. Taste was ok, but in a place like this I’m expecting Real French Toast. The good news is mine was better. One of the specials of the day, Huevos Rancheros was delicious and well executed, however a side salad seemed an odd choice to pair with it. Why no rice and beans or some well seasoned taters?

Place is nice for a homey atmosphere feeling but the food is weak. French toast came out dry, egg serving was small and menu was over priced. Not worth the effort. I’ll go across town to another café for better food, worth the drive. Pass.

Been getting the mozzarella pesto omelet here for well over a decade. Since I moved to California, I still come here at least once when I’m visiting! Food has always been hot, fresh, and delicious. Cozy atmosphere and quick service, a great breakfast!

This might be my new favorite place for brunch. Sorry Maureen’s and Toast, but your waits are too long. Casual feel to this place. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Great menu. We have only been here three times but the prices and portions have been great. I am a big fan of the breakfast burrito. The fresh avocado slices with spicy home fries make a great one two punch. My wife got the kitchen sink waffle and I was really impressed with how much fruit they piled on there! The side of sausage links was perfect. Can’t wait to go back!

The corner café never disappoints, and it has everything you’d want in a café. The staff is kind, accomadating, and quick. The food is excellent and reliable(The same menu items are consistently good). They also serve breakfast all day, so you can get croissant-french toast while your buddy gets a hamburger. Overall, it is a restaurant that definitely deserves all the great reviews.

Meh I don’t see what the hype is. After passing this place so many times I figured it was time to check it out. The eggs benedict con salsa sounded and looked intriguing enough to come visit. I gotta say… it was nothing special. I had asked for eggs a little firmer and it tasted like a hard boiled egg. Don’t get me wrong I love me some hard boiled eggs but I was looking for poached eggs just a little less loose. It also would’ve been nice if there was less salsa. I asked for the hollandaise on the side as the thought of eggs, avocado, salsa and hollandaise all together didn’t seem to appealing. The hollandaise was definitely good and nice with the potatoes. I was alternating between hot sauce(they have Cholula!!!) and hollandaise. My mom ordered the original eggs benedict without the English muffin and asked for toast on side. She also wanted her eggs cooked more and she agreed they were hard boiled. They also wound up just toasting the bread but not buttering it so she had to ask for some butter. She also said the«Canadian bacon» just tasted like a piece of cold cut ham. It wasn’t even in the shape of Canadian bacon. Service was also kinda eh. The girl initially tried charging us for a side of toast when my mom ixnayed her English muffin. She rectified it but it makes me wonder if they do this sort of thing often and people don’t notice. This place is now officially on my skip and move on to the next list. Sorry Corner Café. I miss the Jan’s Petite Café that was in this location in the 90s.

Amazing! Found this delicious place while staying in the area for a wedding. Great service & great food. Our server(I think her name was Kelly) was awesome, great personality! Made you feel right at home. We got the coconut french toast… it was TODIEFOR if your a coconut lover. My fiancé got the hungry man with added jalapeños and spicy home fries… Which it was also delicious! Portions are a good size. I wish we lived closer so we could become regulars!

I looooove the Corner Café, for so many reasons. It’s about 3 minutes from my house, and what a hidden gem it is. I can’t wait to go back, try more of the menu, and introduce all my friends and family to this cozy little spot while doing so. Pros: The food is as good and fresh as it gets, AND the prices are just right. That’s a rare combo right there! I’ve had: 1. the Dog’s Leg breakfast sandwich, which is to die for — eggs, bacon, and cheese on a fresh, buttery croissant. 2. the chicken salad sandwich, which I was very pleased with because the ratio of chicken to mayo was JUST right — not too mayo-y, and not too dry. Perfect! 3. the Watchtower, which is a straight-up roast beef sandwich with lettuce, tomato and a little horseradish mayo. Again, the freshness of the ingredients and the perfectly balanced ratio was such a treat! The staff is excellent, capable and friendly, and the restaurant itself is decorated cutely with gingham curtains and strategically placed blinds that protect its customers from the blazing sunlight(seems like a small thing, but so many restaurants fail to consider this factor!). The Corner Café definitely deserves to be featured on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives! It doesn’t hurt that it’s about a 3-minute drive from home, it’s convenience can’t be beat. Cons: It doesn’t look like much from the outside… but don’t let its underwhelming outward appearance fool you. It’s kind of hidden in a strip of stores. Some nice signage would help!

All this love and ROTDs for Corner Café, is this another hidden gem? Sorry folks, it’s a 3.5 Unilocal star place IMHO. I must have drove by this place at least 100 times. Its a small strip mall with hardly any signage. My wife and I walk in, old wooden floors are a nice touch. We’re seated at a corner table. I’m looking around and seeing stained ceiling tiles, the bakers rack next to me is really dusty, the ceiling fans have the same amount of dust build up. Peeling paint by the cash register, what the F?! I ordered Corned Beef Hash with Eggs. The cook has skills in the kitchen, its was good, the hash ratio has more potatoes than CBH and the dish comes with huge amount of oven roasted potatoes?!? Lotsa starch here folks. ROTD Unilocalers, I don’t want to hate on your place. If you like it then bully for you. The price point was right. For me, It was nice place to visit but I won’t be back

Love this place, love it for so many reasons. Best breakfast, 1 mile away from the pad and priced to please. Love the veggie omelette with goat cheese. They make it how I like it. Omelette soft, meaning it’s not over cooked. House of pleasure. Coffee always fresh. Bottom line, best place to go for breakfast in this area. I can see this place on an episode of diners, drive — ins and dives real soon! The breakfast creations are all a must try. Can you say French toast? I can, they turn a simple French toast into a porterhouse steak, no joke! Owner is friendly and a nice guy. I’m a regular here. And that means, it’s top notch. Ps there burgers are banging too. The corner café can do no wrong. Ummm, I smell a 5 star review.

The most important, and my favorite, meal of the weekend is the brunch. I love the combination of sweet and savory entrees all washed down by a good cup of coffee. Corner Café does not disappoint. We had pancakes, veggie omelet, and corned beef Benedict. The pancakes were fluffy, sweet, and generous in size. The egg white veggie omelet, seemingly a boring and healthy choice, was stuffed with well seasoned and interesting variety of veggies. The Benedict had perfectly poached eggs that added creaminess to the corned beef hash. The addition of peppers and black beans was a nice balance to a perfect dish. The breakfast potatoes, part of every breakfast place, are difficult perfect. Well, CC has perfected it. Perfectly seasoned with lightly crispy, browned exterior, these potatoes were not sides. They were standouts. This is a meal I look forward to having before starting a long day, everyday.
