Giving 4 stars not because it’s the best Pizza in the world, but it is by far(in my opinion) the best Pizza in the area. And i have tried them all. The sauce isn’t sugary; the crust is cooked — I can’t stand when Pizza has that uncooked dough under the cheese that you find at some places. I can’t speak for the entrées, but the pizza is good.

In love with the chicken parm dinner, Seafood Fra Diavlo and Sicilian pie. Never a disappointment.

My favorite pizza in the area: delicious sauce, crispy thin crust, and the perfect amount of cheese. Excellent service and the perfect place to dine in or carry out.

Chose this place based on reviews… Pretty good from what I ordered. I ordered the seafood combo in a Fra Diavolo sauce and it was very good… Too much garlic for me but in all it was good. Service was great… just what was needed after a long day!

Stopped off on the way home to Brooklyn NY for a quick bite. I’ve tasted some of the best pizza from the land of the best pizza, and I would rate this pizza very good. A no frills place with no beer or wine, but you can bring your own. Very reasonable and worth the price. Service was very prompt. Has a nice menu in addition to pizza. I’d give it a 3.5 stars but Unilocal doesn’t have half stars

We ate at Carmines earlier this week. We were delighted by both the food and the service. The waitress was very attentive and suggested two dishes. I tried the Chicken Sorrentino which was very good and my wife had the Rigatoni San Raphaella which was beyond excellent. We plan to order some of each from their catering menu for an event we are hosting. Wonderful!

My husband and I really liked Carmine’s pizza at first. It was really tasty and close by. As time went on the quality seemed to decline. The pizza is good, but the service is bad. The pizza is never cut, and it tends to get flipped on top of itself by the workers when placed in the box. Very disapointing.

Best pizza around! Just the right amount of sauce and cheese! Love the cavatelli and broccoli too!

This is the best pizza place in town. The rest of the menu is dynamite too. The best part is that their prices are way more reasonable than any other place around. They don’t deliver, but they are worth the drive. This is my family’s favorite Italian/pizza place by a mile…

Started with Italian cold antipasto. Mostly lettuce, one green pitted olive, pithy tomato, sparse meat unattractively arranged. Rice ball was large portion but bland little mozzarella and mealy. Baked ziti had plenty of watery sauce not much zesty or hearty taste. Large portion. Scungilli salad was lots of romain lettuce. 3 piece scungilli. Chicken parm was ok. No free refills soda. Parking is easy. Toilet was small.

Very disappointing. After I saw the good reviews, we went to have lunch at Carmine’s. I ordered carbonara, bu it was missing some of the ingredients present in the menu. My wife had mussels, and she has a stomach ache now. Food quality was in general very average. Will not go there a second time.

I grew up on Carmine’s and their food remains consistently delicious and reasonably priced. The customer service is also fantastic. Tonight, they were nice enough to make me a Trenton style tomato pie and it was absolutely phenomenal!

I got a gluten free pizza delivered to my house about 15 minutes after I ordered it. It came on a a small platter that assured no cross contamination. Taste was good, too! ThAnk you, Carmine’s!

Hands down… best pizza in Jersey! And that’s not a ballsy statement when its the truth! I’ve had my fair share of some awesome Jersey pizza, and there are others that are quite amazing(Pizza Palace, Forte, etc), but nothing compares to Carmines. The fact that there’s nothing special about the storefront, in fact, its just slightly bigger than my closet, adds to the charm of the place. They don’t need gimmicks, just amazing pizza and a loving family that owns the place. I’ve literally been coming here my whole life! God how I miss good pizza here in Texas!

when i lived in Netcong for 6 years which was some years back it was the only pizzeria around… i found the pizza was good but the other dishes were very over priced and was average. Dont expect friendly service. one of the brothers is ok the other not so much. they messed up our order and gave us a store credit. when we decided one night to have some Carmnes my wife went down there to get the store credit and the one brother was very rude and abusive. i called up to complain and aske why you were so rude and he started his shit with me… well i responded the in a way that probably made his night not so pleasant… this is probably not everyones experience but iti was ours and i thought i would share… things may have changed as this was over 5 years ago.

Pizza was ehhh okay. Pizzeria pizza. Very chewy and sort of like a cardboard crust. Ordered a pizza with Pineapple and ham. Not a lot of toppings on it. Ready pretty quickly. Nothin special. Will not be back.

Driving along the I-80, we found this place on Unilocal. It’s in a very small town(or rather, a strip of stores). The establishment looks old and dingy from the outside, but as soon as you walk in, you’ll see 8 – 10 workers behind the counter all busy doing something. The ambiance is typical of a pizzeria, there’s a few tables to the right or the more formal dining room serving salads, pastas, veal, seafood, chicken, hot & cold subs, and more. We opted to sit in the front and order a pie and garlic knots. We ordered a Salerno(Large — $ 16.95) which includes chicken, roasted peppers, fresh tomato sauce, mozzarella, garlic and pesto seasoning. The pizza was made fresh and I was pleasantly surprised at how delicious the pizza was for the middle of nowhere. The chicken was tender and tasty, and other ingredients were very fresh. It made for one kick-ass pizza on a thin crust. Ingredients were standard fare with my only gripe was that they didn’t get the melted mozzarella and other ingredients near the outer edge of the pizza. We also got an order of the Garlic Knots(8 for $ 1.00, w/Sauce $ 1.50). These garlic knots are smaller versions that one is accustomed to getting at a pizzeria. But I found them to be better than their larger counterpart, partly because they were less doughy inside, with more surface area to inside ratio, providing more garlic and buttery goodness. Yum! My friend also ordered a plain slice($ 1.75) which had an equal proportion of tomato sauce and mozzarella. The crust was just as good, however we found it to be ever so slightly salty. They could have put less salt so that the sweet/tartness from the tomato sauce could have been more pronounced. Otherwise, a good slice that we’d return for. All of us enjoyed Carmine’s and would definitely recommend if looking for a local joint to eat in the area. Again, delicious for the area that it is in and what we were expecting. But best on the East Coast is pushing it, especially with the likes of Grimaldi’s and Umberto’s in New York, but I’d like to say that Carmine’s makes one satisfying pizza.
