6÷25÷16 Terrible food. Burgers are frozen junk, entrees just as bad. Frozen calimari. Old dingy building. Should have known something was wrong, Saturday night with no one there eating at 7pm. Zero parking. How does this place even stay in business. Never again will I go, first and last time. I had to sign up for Unilocal just in hopes to save others money. Literally the worst place I have eaten at in my 42 years in NJ.

This place was great, but after last nights visit I don’t think I’ll be back for a while, if ever. It was Prime Rib night and the meat was less than a half inch thick and was about 40% of it was fat. It came with broccoli and carrot slices and 3 small potato wedges which some other restaurants call«FRENCHFRIES». Needless to say I was still hungry when I left. It felt like our waitress was ignoring us all night. I was brought an iced tea that I didn’t even order, she overheard me telling my Mother that iced tea was on the menu and she somehow thought that’s what I was ordering to drink. It seemed like it took forever just for her to take our food order. It was nearly impossible to flag her down when we needed drink refills. She never asked how anything was. It was almost like we were on the«Pay no mind» list. I tipped too much but that was my fault. They need to get waitresses who aren’t overwhelmed when they have 3 tables.

I wish there was a 0 star category. Ordered appetizers. I think the calamari was bought from Costco. It was terrible and almost unedible. Ordered mussels in maranara sauce and they were terrible. The sauce was definitely came from a jar. I asked the server about the sauce and she said it was feshly made. We paid the bill and went elsewhere for dinner. Don’t waste your time or money. Very sad because this was once a great place.

My family and I decided to give Ron’s another try since it had always been a favorite of mine. I was really hoping the food would be better this time, but unfortunately, it wasn’t. Aside from the food being mediocre and the building not being maintained,(leaky ceiling tile above us) I will never come back to this place because of what I witnessed from the table next to us. An elderly man was treating his daughter and what looked like two grandchildren to dinner. Upon picking up the man’s plate at the end of their meal, the waitress asked if anything was wrong with his dish, since it appeared he didn’t eat much of it. He simply stated that he didn’t like the marinade. The waitress said nothing in response and took his plate and left. Definitely not the way I would expect a waitress to handle the situation. Later, when they received their bill, the gentleman asked if they grant a military discount. The waitress was unsure, so she went back to check with management. Upon returning, she informs the man that they do NOT offer military discount. Because of that alone, I will never return to Ron’s, and I will be sure to tell everyone I know what kind of people work here and run this place. Shame on you Ron’s and your callous attitude towards one of our veterans!

Last night I went to Ron’s for a friend’s bday. There were four of us. She wanted to give it a try since she lives in the area. I have eaten there once before years ago and wasn’t impressed with it then and I wasn’t impressed with it last night. The parking is heinous. I had to park in the train station lot. When we entered the restaurant it started with the 4 of us telling the hostess we had reservations for four and we gave our friend’s name. She looked at us and shook her and said«yea, no» My friend called in the beginning of the week and spoke with a male who supposedly wrote it down and they didn’t have the reservation down. We were still able to be seated thankfully. For an appetizer we ordered fried calamari and the mozzarella and roasted peppers. The calamari was ok. It was the big ring ones obviously frozen and not homemade and their idea of fresh mozz and roasted peppers is round cherry tomatoes and round mozzarella balls with little slices of roasted peppers on a small bed of romaine lettuce. Again it was ok. For dinner I got the whole wheat penne in marinara with grilled shrimp and I asked if they could throw in spinach. I have to say the grilled shrimp was EXCELLENT. That was the best part. The marinara was just ok. Their bread was very good. Came out warm. Along with our dinner we got a salad. That was a debacle. You can taste the preservatives. It must have come right out of a Dole bag. I didn’t finish it. We didn’t have dessert there. We went back to my friend’s for her birthday cake. Our waitress was nice. She reminded me of my Nonnie. Supposedly they are known for their pizza but there are so many other more authentic Italian places to go to.

Good local spot for Italian food. The service has always been awesome and super friendly. The parking situation is very tough. Parking by ShopRite is your best bet. The prices are fair and portions are good.

We have gone to Ron’s for at least 30 years. We just returned from dinner and… things have changed — the food just wasn’t the same, but ok. Then we got the bill, and NOW we know. When presented to us, it said this: «$ 55.10 Cash — 60.80 Credit»!!! We dine out a lot, and we always pay by Amex. Now, I don’t care how they wish to explain this, but if a restaurant cannot honor Amex(or other cards) without hitting you up for an additional fee for using it, it’s time to stop going there. Gas stations used to do this, and sometimes still do, but I was incensed by this. The dining area, by the way, was pretty-much empty. Gee, I wonder why??? Bye bye, Ron’s!

Great service. The food was as good as it gets. Someone here is Italian — nice salad, great pasta, reasonable prices, good service… Surprised at the party of 45 — mostly kids who showed up… I would definitely go back!

I am a regular customer and I went today for lunch and the soup and penne vodka was the best I ever had. Both myself and the person I was with said the food tasted the best we ever had. The food was always good, but today was exception. Hope it stays like this.

My boyfriend and I have been coming here for years. We haven’t come in a while, so we went tonight. I was less than impressed. The parking always sucks, so I parked by Shoprite. We were about to walk in and there is a man and a woman smoking a cigarette right where people are walking into a restaurant. So gross. Next, we are waiting for the hostess. A waitress walks by us, to go get the hostess. In past experiences, the hostess is usually waiting by the door for customers. She finally gets to us and says she needs to clean a table off for us. Literally there were plenty of empty tables. We’re seated now after standing by the door like idiots for 5 minutes. Our waitress was less than enthusiastic, which was pretty much the whole vibe of the restaurant. Nobody seemed happy to be there. On to the food; I got Cesar salad… Something was funky with the croutons. Stale or something. They tasted weird. My penne vodka was hot AF and I couldn’t enjoy it right away. I remember going there and the penne vodka was out of this world. It was pretty mediocre. We will not be going back… Which is really disappointing. It was a great family restaurant but has gone down hill.

I’ve been going here for years and while I do think the food has slipped a bit in the last few years, it’s still fine. On a recent visit, I had the pasta with clams mussels calamari and shrimp. The shrimp was a bit overdone but the rest was fine. There was lots of calamari in it and that was cooked perfect. There could have been more pasta on the plate in relation to the amount of sauce. My wife had the tuna special which was also fine. I think I prefer their pizza, however. Drinks are a bit on the expensive side.

Not bad, not horrible. Just a very moderate experience. The food was ok and the service was decent. The parking was not very ample, and we had trouble parking our truck. Price wise it was about $ 11 dollars a plate and the portions. I would come back, but it’s not on the top of my list.

The eggplant was delicious! This is the only place I’ve seen that makes so many different styles of eggplant! The parking situation, is just that a situation. Tiny little awkward shaped lot. I personally would go back!

This is one of our favorite places to eat! The food is fantastic. The portions are huge. The price is right. The beer on tap is a good selection. The décor is a bit dated, but I personally love that sort of thing. If you haven’t been here, do yourself a favor and go!

Solid food. Great Pizza(Order it well done if you like crispy pizza) The only thing that I have eaten at Ron’s is Pizza and Italian sub’s. Both things are very good. The service can be slow and If you sit at the bar you feel out of place until a few visits. That is when the regulars seem to except you. The décor is rough and the service spotty, but the people are very nice. This place is not much to look at but I think you will like the food.

Food was very good and the service was exceptional we shared the calamari and had chicken saltimboca and shrimp parm. No complaints with the food. But we had a coupon and the waitress didn’t bring over an itemized bill which is what you’d usually get. We got a ‘cash’ or ‘credit’ price so you’re really not getting any sort of discount! That maneuver was a bit deceptive but that’s just our .02.

Heard about this place from coworkers and decided to try it out. The inside is very pleasant but it is smaller. The food was decent as well. The side salads were nothing to rave about. Nothing fancy at all. They serve you bread with dipping sauce that was okay. It just had garlic in olive oil. The meal I had, had a great flavor but I do not think it was worth the price. The spaghetti sauce didnt taste homemade. Overall this place was okay but overpriced in regards to the quality.

I haven’t been back in a while, but I remember Ron’s for it portions sizes and for it’s sassy waitress. It doesn’t have the best parking situation, as many know from driving through that awful new traffic light in front of the building, but there are parking area within walking distance that work just as well in the warmer seasons. If you live in the area and haven’t been here before you’re missing out. Try it, you’ll more than likely go home with some food as well.

Ron’s is a family owned restaurant that has been situated in Netcong for over 30 plus years. The atmosphere is comfortable and the menu provides for traditional Italian cuisine and reasonable prices. The décor inside is very nice and great for larger groups and families. The food is good but not the best Italian in the area. They offer some daily deals and the service is typically good. It is a nice steady restaurant.
