Cute clothing at affordable prices, and nicely decorated. But customer service is nil. The owner lives down the street from me, and I’ve introduced myself twice, but it’s like I’m invisible every time I walk in the door — not just to her but to any staffers working there. I know you spent time in France, but geez, would a smile hurt? However, if you care more about clothing than customer service, Abstrakt is worth checking out.

I love this store. Beautiful displays. I needed a dress recently and they had a great selection. Owner is always very friendly. Best place or women’s clothes in town.

If your stopping by Nevada City this place is a must. They have really unique accessories that I’ve never seen anywhere else. I felt the prices were pretty good for such high quality clothing, as compared to most other places like this. I got my girlfriend something for Xmas and I’m sure we will end up going back. Really great people; Abstrakt is the best!

This is a sweet boutique featuring very feminine and current labels such as Darling. The prices are competitive and they had great sales. Not just the out of season items. The aesthetics of the shop is sort of a shabby chic feel that uses «weathered» cabinets and shelves to feature belts and accessories. There was only one fitting room and one staff person on hand during a busy weekend.

My husband and I go to Nevada City every year for his BD in June We ride our motorcycles up every year. This is a a place where we have been going for the last 8 years. Abstrakt is my favorite place to go. I love everything about this place this store. I hope that one day they have a website where we can buy clothes on line. I have friends that I work with that would love to buy their clothing, but they are not willing to take the drive. Oh well, their loss.

I love this place so much, I would actually drive the 3 hours it would take me from the SF Bay Area just to see what new stuff is there. I loved the vibe of this boutique women’s clothing and accessories store. Like someone said, the merchandise is somewhat similar to Anthropologie and I was similarly surprised at how reasonable and welcoming the prices were. It’s got the bohemian chic feel and you can find scarves, dresses, belts, hats, bags there that I haven’t seen in other boutique stores. So it carries some very interesting new brands that I haven’t run across. I absolutely love it.
I even heard another customer compliment the store clerk at the time how much she loved it and she was also from the Bay Area, so I jumped on that bandwagon to say I feel the same way. Definitely worth it! It was my first time visiting Nevada City with my Mom for Mother’s Day… and it’s such a cute quaint town… it’s a must visit. I love the small town feel of it and the air smelled of pine trees. I will go again!

This is the best store for miles. Everything is so well selected. These people know what they’re doing, amazing for gifts but you’ll walk out buying for yourself too! the one problem… its so darn good I want to dump my closet and start anew with only the clothes from this store. Its that good!

What a great store! I stumbled across is wile walking down Broad Street in Nevada City and was very pleasantly surprised. They carry some great brands, like Hard Tail, but also other clothing items that are all super cute and very reasonably priced. The also have super cute accessories (belts, jewelry, bags, and more). What a great addition to downtown!

Such cute clothes! It was nice to see fresh clothing that you don’t see at every department store. Great ambiance! Has an Anthropologie feel minus the high prices.

Went to the Grand Opening ~what a great new store! Clean, hip, peaceful vibe and great selection of clothing & accessories. Word on the street is it’s the same owners as Contrast. Super cute!
