One of my favorite places in town. Their tri tip salad is my favorite! The pasta and pizza is good too. Burgers can be pain and dry sometime’s but they are usually good. Service is good and they have a good beer selection. Only downside is that it’s so popular that it can get crowded.

We go to Northridge at least once a week. The meat combo pizza with anchovies is our favorite, plenty of fishies. The zucchini appetizer is always hot and delicious with our beer. The gals who wait on us have always been friendly, they bring us our second beer just before we’re thinking we’d like one – even when it’s ridiculously busy. Our only complaint is the front door situation. people going in and out and it’s a tight space. It’s noisy and drafty while they’re waiting for a table and glaring at us to hurry up and give over the booth. We try to go early to take advantage of the happy hour special and avoid the crowd & noise level.

New to this area and have been going there every week for the last two months, first the atmosphere is very comfortable, the staff is courteous, the food is good and the price is awesome. Will be there again this week.

(Takeout) The large Greek Pizza was by a long shot the best I’ve ever had. Delicious crust even! Chopped Kalamatas and creamy spinach, fantastic and I look forward to treating my friends again with a great pizza.

The 3 of us had pizza, salad and fish and chips. Each was lack luster. Pizza was bland, maybe lower quality cheese than we are used to? Chips were tired. The salad looked forlorn, we didn’t even touch it, to be kind we took it with us and tossed it(out!). Full disclosure we normally eat organic healthy food, perhaps we have been spoilt by the better flavor and vibrancy of real food.

Went for dinner last night with wife and despite being very busy we were seated immediately. Service was great(brought my beer right away gold digger from ale house) which was great. Had the coconut prawns which were good with coleslaw and wife had tri tip salad which she enjoyed. Little bit noisy in there but it was Friday night. Overall a very nice dinner for the price.

The quality of the food here has been sliding downhill for the past year or two. Tonight we ordered two burgers(Pentucky and Dave’s) and two pizzas to go. The pizza was dreadful, which is ironic because they have a banner hanging over their front door touting their great pizza. Well it used to be great, years ago, but every pizza we’ve ordered over the past two years has been slowing slipping in quality, until tonight when it hit rock bottom. Pizza crust looked and tasted exactly like frozen(right down to the machine manufactured little marks in the crust. Hand-made pizza looks nothing like what we got!). Pizza was boring to say the least, except for the odd patches of super-hot spice sprinkled about here and there(?). Seriously, the box probably had more flavor. Burgers were even worse. Greasy and inedible. My «medium» burger was much closer to rare(raw) than medium. Hard to do a «medium» when the burger is so thin that all you can do is sear it on the outside and leave the inside barely cooked.(Burger was ridiculously thin for a pub type restaurant). Bacon on the other burger was flabby and the cheese was so scant the kid was convinced there was no cheese at all. One kid wanted«American» cheese on the burger. Was told«we don’t serve American cheese» in a sort-of snooty tone, as if this neighborhood roadhouse tavern is «too good» for American cheese, LOL. What sort of family place doesn’t have American cheese for kids? Good lord. Fed the burgers to the dog. Kids at ½ of one pizza. $ 50. down the drain. Sorry Northridge, we used to love your restaurant. But we’ve given you lots of «second» chances(at least 7 – 8 chances) over the past couple of years to show us your food is great again, and things have not improved. Unfortunately we can find better ways to spend $ 50. for a night out.

On one of our trips to Nevada City we tried out this spot. Previous reviews were spot on. Service was friendly and informative. Perfect stop for a nice casual lunch. Lots of regular and local feel but very welcoming. The Popeye pizza was great and flavorful. My fiancé had the Rueben and said it was his best thus far. A great place to stop among the trees and outdoor.

The pizza is really good, and the wait staff is just the nicest bunch of girls in town. Thank you all for always making it a great night out.

The Northridge is a staple in Nevada City. They have american style food. Almost everything is made in house, fresh and delish. Bbq night is popular and they often sell out of their ribs. Try the fish and chip’s or any of the burgers.

This place was great! We were driving through and wanted to stop in Nevada City for a quick bite to eat. The little town was packed on a Friday night! Some sort of street fair going on, so it was super busy. After circling the town for 10 minutes to find parking, we decided to keep heading up the 49, and stumbled on this gem of a restaurant. These guys were also super busy, but had a large space, and the servers were hustlin! Food was good, pricing was good, and everyone seemed happy to be there. We will be back!

Outstanding experience. This will be my first 5 star rating. Service and food surpassed all my expectations. Looks like it’s a locals favorite with plenty of Friday fish specials.

I nice little hole in the wall. They were accommodating to a large group of us for a little reunion. The food was good but it seemed like there was something wrong with most people’s orders. Don’t know if it was the chef not reading tickets properly or the waitress not writing them down clearly. I got the blue cheese burger. Could have used a little more cheese but it was still good. Not a greasy mess you get from other places of this type. Another downer was the fact there is only one bathroom for the entire restaurant. My buddy was waiting for 15 minutes(no joke) for someone to get out.

I came here for the first time ever and it was very interesting, friendly people, nice food and pretty scenery. I felt like I was away from my norm, with all the wood paneling and tall tall trees outside the window.

The Northridge is the place locals have been going for years for lunchtime or dinner. Varied menu that includes salads, sandwiches, burgers, pizzas, fire roasted veggies and kids menu. Great to stop in just for a cold one. Wait staff is friendly and accommodating.

Before I get into the good, I’ve got a minor complaint. The front door! Everyone packs into the bar area while waiting for a seat. The problem is there’s no room there. But tons of people are forced to stand there or out in the cold. Making I’m very difficult for others to get by. The good! Our waitress was super friendly. She, and other wait staff, were very fast paced workers and did a great job handling the volume of people. Which there is, tons of people here every night of the week. The food! Is fantastic! I heard a few people say they didn’t mind the crowd because the food is so good. And it is. There’s a pool table. Very friendly family oriented atmosphere. Lots of kids in here and no worries about how loud they are. Nobody cares. I would recommend trying this place. Maybe try on a Monday maybe the crowd will be lighter.

Going out to eat with kids can be a pain, especially when you have to wait. But, this place was awesome! No, it’s not a 5 star appearance, and no, it’s not somewhere you can walk right in and sit down, so don’t go in with those expectations. BUT, it IS great, high quality, well-priced food with gigantic portions and they have a little game room to keep the kids entertained while waiting to be seated(although most the machines took our money, but hey!) and once we were seated the service was really top-notch! My parents brought us in because this is one of their favorite places to go in Nevada City. The location is easy to get to and seriously, the pizza was amazing. We had so much food for the price, we literally asked the server if we got charged enough! We’ll definitely be back :) @growingfourlife

My updated review — I seriously don’t want to give this place five stars, but I have to. It is hidden away within a neighborhood off of 20. We learned from our server that it used to be an gas station, but you can’t tell with all the wood paneling… The plates here are fresh and delicious. There is a good selection of burgers, hot/cold sandwiches, and salads. We were up here for lunch on a Saturday. Everything from the fried zucchini appetizer, tri tip salad, burgers, fish and chips, whatever you order it’s going to be great.(Apparently the spicy Pentucky? burger is one of the local favorites). If you don’t want beef with your burger, you can always substitute for grilled chicken. There’s a good choice of beverages too — we always order a pitcher of the Sprecher real-sugar root beer. Again, the service here is pretty awesome. A happy team that gets along means you’re gonna get good service. If you decide to show up on a Friday or Saturday night, come early! This place gets hopping. There is another location at Lake of the Pines, but it’s worth it to head up here for the clean air and atmosphere.
