I had the King clam boil which had of course delicious clams with clam broth and drawn butter, corn on the cob, tasty linguca, very large potato, ok Haddock, hot dog and sausage. Will be coming back.

Best clam boil, you can get it portuguese style too. Waitstaff always pleasant. The bartender, Leah is great!!!

Ambience: Local Dive Waitstaff: Like kindly Portuguese Aunts. Food: Lunch was pretty good. I had a beef tip/littleneck dish that was good, and my Little Girl had the kids’ fish and chips which was fresh, plentiful, and delicious. Note: we arrived midday on a Sunday, and I chose my order based on the recommendation of a local who had just enjoyed that dish, PLUS several whiskeys at the bar. The people who work here clearly care, made a point of thanking us for choosing to eat there, and that made it a better experience.

Never came for the seafood. I am a Danny’s breakfast person. You would never think so but the breakfast is soooooo good. Pricing is so reasonable. I get«the window». Really good unlimited coffee!!!, two eggs, toast, beyond amazing potatoes with green peppers and onions and bacon AND a small apple juice to wash it down for 4.99 $. I swear by this place and won’t go anywhere else for breakfast. Plus the owners are really nice. Love family businesses surviving in a big corporate world!!!

I am giving my rating as much as for the food as the people! We saw Danny’s on Unilocal on our way home from Maine and were immediately made to feel at home. We ordered the King Boil and a Bowl of the Seafood chowder. We ended up ordering another bowl of the chowder after my two young daughters devoured the first bowl leaving not much for me and my wife! The King boil came out and it was full of Steamers, Linguisa, Fish, and Potatoes. Yum! I was so happy with the Linguisa I asked if there was a Grocery store around so I could get some for home. The wonderful waitress offered to sell us some because their sausage was better than you could get at the store. The setting is a Bar side with booths and a table side with tables and chairs. Now that I know about Danny’s I will plan another stop on my next trip. Cool, Cool, Cool! I can’t thank the People at Danny’s enough for making our family feel welcome and at home and not like tourists, but travelers!

Every time I go here, it is empty in the restaurant. It’s nothing fancy, but the clam boil is very good.

I can’t believe nobody has written a review for this place yet!!! Danny’s Seafood has been a staple in the North End of New Bedford for decades. Perhaps more popularly know for its bar/lounge, Danny’s Seafood has a full fledged restaurant side which serves up some great plates! I’ve been getting clamboils at Danny’s for many years, and they have been consistent in quality and portion all along. Family owned and operated, Danny’s Seafood has stood the test of time. That has to say something about the quality of the food and caring owners and staff that operate the business. Many businesses and food establishments have come and gone in this business district, but Danny’s continues to feed those looking for quality food at a great price. If you’ve never considered Danny’s for seafood, give them a shot, you will be pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere is casual, and parking is relatively plentiful right out front. Danny’s is located at Bailey’s Square, right across the street from where Sullivan’s Formals/Tux used to be. Enjoy!
