This is one of the remaining independently owned, boutique style shops. The owner and her daughter are the sweetest, most attentive folks around. They will go above and beyond to find you a shoe, regardless of what you’re looking for. They will size you, bring you various styles, give you fashion advice, and special order items. For those with wide width feet looking for nice, fashionable shoes… Look no further!

I had been looking for a comfortable yet stylish pair of wedding shoes. Most of the stores I went to had to special order them and they usually didn’t have my size to try on. After trying several places including David’s Bridal, Alfred Angelo, Party Dress Express and Gilda’s I was told about The Glass Slipper by one of Gilda’s employees.
The Glass Slipper is located in a not so nice area of New Bedford but its totally worth it. They have a massive selection of not only wedding shoes but all different types. I ended up finding a few pairs I liked and they had my size in all of them so I was able to try them all on. I purchased my shoes that day and because I needed to start alterations on my wedding dress I took them home with me instead of leaving them there to be dyed. They told me I can bring them back when I’m ready to dye them and the first dye job is free! The ladies were super helpful and very nice. I would recommend The Glass Slipper to anyone who is looking for any type of shoes. I’m excited to go back when I get my shoes dyed and shop for more shoes!

This place is a little gem. The customer service is awesome. They have a great selection of shoes, purses and other accessories. Perfect for anyone and everyone. The owner was fantastic, she is the one that helped me with my shoe selection. She really knows her product, so it really puts a person with huge feet like me to ease. It was such a wonderful experience I will be telling everyone about it.

I am a bridesmaid in a wedding this fall, and was looking for a place to get shoes to match my dress. I have a very hard to fit foot, and someone recommended that I try The Glass Slipper. I am so glad that I gave it a shot. When I first walked in the other bridesmaid and I were just going to settle on a low wedge shoe, that while cute, wasn’t exactly what we were looking for. The owner brought us back into the wedding/​event shoes room and we were shown many more shoes and styles that we originally bypassed. I ended up with two pairs of Swarovski encrusted heels and a gorgeous evening bag. Both shoes are no longer available, so I was able to get a great deal on them. The other bridesmaid also got two pairs of shoes and a gorgeous silk evening bag. We are going to go back and get our shoes dyed to match our dresses. This is a great little store with a huge variety of shoes and evening bags, and GREAT customer service. The owner really knows her shoes! I’d recommend The Glass Slipper to anyone looking for event shoes.

I bought my daughters prom dress here. Best price anywhere, great service. Saw the same dress across town for $ 100 more. The owners were wonderful, helpful and not pushy at all. Great shoes and casual clines here as well.
