Stopped in here with my coworkers and our new intern for lunch yesterday. I was impressed with their choice as I never knew this Zaffiro’s was in here, and I love their pizza. We were the only ones in there, and many of us went with their lunch deal. For $ 7 you can get a personal pizza(10″) with one topping and a side salad! The caeasar dressing on their salad was really bad, it was watery and thick at the same time… like they’d tried to stretch out the batch one too many times. The service was good, and the pizza was yummy!

The service here is terrible. Come on guys, your doing a huge disservice to the original location on Farwell. Get it together. Waiting a half hour for a take and bake pizza is a joke and dining in is even worse. Out of convenience I’ve visited the new berlin location. After being their 3x, I’ll reconsider taking the 30min drive to the east side for better service.

Title of this review: Employees here are thieves . Writing this review on behalf of my parents experience. Will never go there myself after what happened. Sneaky, shady employees. Unilocal will always reveal the truth … My parents went and ate over the weekend. Their system was down so everyone had to pay with cash. That was explained before they sat down. That is not the issue … The issue comes at the end of this story … They had ordered a pizza to share and some apps .The total was around $ 30 dollars. My dad gave him $ 100. He handed him change in all singles and fives. My dad thought it looked short so he asked the waiter for their receipt. «The waiter said why do you need the receipt?“My dad said«so I know how much to tip you.» The waiter was hesitant about it and finally agreed to go get it. When he gave my parents the receipt he quickly walked away. Low and behold with the receipt was $ 50 in change that my parents had been missing . I find it odd that the waiter wouldn’t leave the receipt with the black book in the first place. Who just drops off random cash for change with no receipt either . Also when a customer asks for a receipt, why would you ever question them about it . But the WORSTOFALL was after he had dropped off the receipt with the missing money he just walked away. There was no apology or no explaining. You think he would at least try to cover up his stealing with an excuse like«I’m so sorry I forgot to give you this«or «I apologize I must have mixed up people’s checks .» He just walked away quickly, which is a clear sign he was trying to pull a fast one . Little did he know my dad is an accountant /CPA. Wrong person to try to steal money from . Shame on you Zaffiros employee, karma is coming for you my dude.

I was attending a film festival, and stopped before a movie to order a salad to pick up 2 hours later before the next movie. I was ignored at the counter for 4 minutes as staff went about seemingly trial things. When I went to pick up my salad, it was not ready. I waited 20 minutes while they made my salad. When I got back to the theater to eat my salad there was no dressing on it. In summary the food was mediocre, and the service was bad.

Great pizza, great deserts, fun atmosphere. Only wish they offered more Italian food like pasta’s, asagna, etc. If you want salad & pizza, though, look no more.

Never ceases to underwhelm. The only reason to eat here would be proximity to the theater. Even still, showing up an hour before a movie, you could possibly be late. Food is ok, typically service is less than adequate. Hopefully your order is accurate because servers seldom return to check, and we’ve never seen the place over half full.

Everyone in our movie group ordered pizza. Each had a different pizza and we traded to sample them all. They were all were done to perfection. We love the thin and crusty taste. Our waitress was very efficient and quickly corrected a minor problem. The manage visited us to see that we were enjoying ourselves. What a nice place to go for dinner after a movie, so convenient. This restaurant is beautiful, bright and comfortable. We will be back.

Very slow service. .There seemed to be a ton of staff and no one was doing anything. Manager looked sweaty and hung over. We ordered a pizza 45 minutes before our movie and didn’t have time to eat it… had to box it up. The place wasn’t even that busy… good pizza though

I don’t think that the food here is bad. In fact I find it to be pretty good. But the proportions have gotten smaller since they first opened. I recently went with 3 others, and the portions we received were very small. I ordered their ravioli dish and received 6 very small raviolis. I love the homemade chips they bring to each table to start, they are great. I’ve never had anything there I didn’t like, however the price is an issue for me. The prices are pretty steep for what you get. If I didn’t have a gift card or coupon for the restaurant I don’t know that I would actually eat there. Although I like it, I don’t feel it’s worth the money you spend, especially since the portions have gotten smaller. The atmosphere is great and I’ve always had great service. I just don’t think it’s worth the cost associated with it.

Tried pizza here for the first time. The cheese was weird and half melted; felt like I was eating crust and cheese — sauce was scarce. Not really interested in trying it again.

I fell in love with Zaffiro’s pizza at their Farwell Avenue location. I’ve been a big fan of Zaffiro’s for years. We went last night to the Moreland Avenue location. The pizza is just not the same as the East Side. The building is great… big, clean, etc. I get that part and I like it. But they can’t make the pizza like they do on Farwell Ave! I hope I’m wrong or if I’m right then I hope they fix the problem and the pizza is better next time.

Stopped in Zaffiro’s after a movie to grab a bite to eat. The restaurant was pretty empty which was nice but in the back of my head I always have that thought if it’s not crowded, must not be that good. Service was fine, nothing outstanding and the menu has a good selection. I felt the prices were a big ridiculous though. I had the sliders appetizer and it was a pricey $ 13 for three sliders. A little too much in my opinion. They were pretty good but nothing to run back for. My friend had a wedge salad and that was a bit high too. They boys all had pizza and they said it was really good. Restaurant was clean and quiet. Glad I finally tried it but really don’t need to rush back.

Not good. Pizza may have been okay had it not been burned any dripping in grease. I decided to give it one more try with my husband. We each got a burger, medium. My husband got it plain and specifically asked for nothing but the meat and bread. I got my burger and it was totally charred. My husband got his with a ton of fixings on it. They replaced our order which was nice but we had to miss part of the movie to go get it :(

this place is cool. They have home made chips and these things called torpedos which is hollowed out french bread stuffed with some sort of gooey meat. great form factor. I’m not sure of the movie or the dinner factor but service was pretty fast and the food was cheap

I tried this restaurant three times before writing this review. My experience has been with ordering pizza to take into the movie theater there. In general, I notice management and communication issues. When ordering from the movie concessions area, I am told a time in general the pizza should be ready. I don’t mind waiting at all, but their projected time frames are very far off from what actually happens and I wonder if there is ANY communication between the concession clerk and the restaurant? I feel as though«it should be ready in about 10 minutes» is their standard statement to customers. For my recent experience, I was given a time frame of 10 minutes. I waited 20 minutes and my buzzer didn’t go off so I walked over to the restaurant. There was a queue of 2 people ahead of me at the counter. After 5 minutes of seeing some staff bring food out to various dine-in tables, I asked the girl first in line if she had been greeted by anyone. She said she had been waiting 15 minutes, but no one had acknowledged her as of yet. A few minutes later someone came over to assist her. I was able to capture the staff member’s attention and asked if my pizza was ready. She brought me my pizza as it was ready, even though I was not buzzed and unfortunately the box had no warmth to it and I immediately knew it had probably been sitting there a while. Yep, It was room temperature – clearly had been out the oven and I was just not notified in a timely manner. This is my 3rd lukewarm to room temp pizza. IMO, all of this points to an overall management /process issue. I enjoyed how my pizza tasted for the most part, but the temperature is always sub-standard and the wait is frustrating because they do not seem to have efficient procedures in place. Take a chance if you want, but I have not had good luck here and I hope they read these reviews to improve their product, communication, and overall customer experience.

If you’re going to the movies, have some extra time and are hungry, there’s Zaffiros. We were headed to see the Wolf of Wall Street under those exact circumstances so we stopped. First, the inside is really, really nice — much nicer than the grubby dive that is Zaffiros on the East Side. They tout this as a full service restaurant and encourage people to eat here even if they aren’t coming to see a movie. Does anyone actually make a trip here? Well, it is New Berlin and the options are limited, so maybe? Anyway — we were pretty much the only table so our food arrived quickly. For me, Zaffiro’s pizza is «ok» — I like the crunchy crust but the sauce is way too sweet and it’s greasy. Balestreri’s is better IMO. Service was good too but again, they really weren’t busy. Overall, I think Zaffiro’s works best as a convenience option — if you’re having«date night» and don’t really feel like moving the car 0.2 miles to the Texas Roadhouse or Chili’s, they’ve got you covered. Also — there is a full service bar here and drinks CAN be taken into the theaters. I wish I would have known that when we went to see the Hobbit, it would have helped.

Nice location. Stop and eat some pizza and then see a movie. They had a lunch special for $ 7 when I stopped in. There were several choices. I picked the personal margherita pizza with Caesar salad. The server brought us some homemade chips to eat before our lunch. I had them on my previous visit and really liked them. This time though I thought they tasted like they were fried in old oil. My lunch wasn’t a personal pizza it was just two small slices. They were fantastic but it was a very small serving. The Caesar salad was absolutely drenched in dressing to the point that it was unpalatable. I really loved the pizza even though I don’t think the lunch deal was such a deal. Service was super attentive and maybe that was because we were the only people there.

My family and I went to Zaffiro’s at the Ridge on Sunday afternoon(2 days ago) with my family(6 adults/2 children). We were greeted and seated by the waitress immediately. We ordered our drinks and food right away and the waitress was friendly and helpful while taking our order. That was the last good thing that happened while there. The waitress left with our order and disappeared. There was only one other table occupied in the place, and they were seated in a different portion of the divided dining room. There was an NFL game being shown on all(10?) of the TVs, but it seemed that the sound was only coming from the one TV right next to us, and it was blaring loud. We all agreed that we need to ask the waitress to turn down the volume on that TV when she comes back. After about 15 minutes, she still hadn’t returned with our drinks or salad, so my Sister-in-Law went to the bartender to ask if he could lower the volume on that one TV. The bartender wasn’t busy, actually seemed more interested in watching the game, said that he would lower the volume in a minute. At this point, 2 customers came in, sat at the bar, ordered drinks and the bartender served them. We were watching him intently wondering when he might get around to fulfilling our request with the volume. When he went back to watching the game, I went up to remind him that the TV was«really too loud and was distracting from our conversation and could he just turn it down a bit?» He said he would as soon as he got a chance. I was detecting a big-time attitude the whole time. Meanwhile, the waitress still hadn’t returned(maybe 25 minutes). The waitress finally showed up with the pizzas, salad, waters, and beers all at once. At that point the bartender lifted his remote and lowered the volume to an acceptable level. Everyone started to dig into the food. The waitress was still ferrying the drinks to the table when we realized that one of the pizzas was ice cold. My father told the waitress, who fetched the manager who quickly apologized and said they would bring out a fresh one. About 10 minutes later we had 2 fresh, hot pizzas, which were okay, but not worth the hassle thus far. While we were waiting for them however, my father used the restroom, came out and told the bartender that they were out of hand towels in the men’s room. Bartender said he would get right on that. When we left a half hour later, there still weren’t hand towels in the men’s room.

Visited recently to celebrate my daughter’s birthday. We had high hopes, but sadly Zaffiro’s fell short of our expectations. First, the things I did like. The pizza was good and iPads for the kids to play with is cool. They have some great happy hour specials too. Now on to what I didn’t like. The service was poor, and management and the rest of the staff didn’t seem to be focused on the customers. There was a lot of milling around by managers and servers in the bar area, but when we needed help, our server was nowhere to be found. The pizza was quite good, but very over-priced. $ 20 for a «large» pizza that wasn’t really that big. My wife ordered a pasta dish that cost $ 14. It had lots of interesting looking ingredients, but was very bland tasting. There was no salt on our table, and our waitress never came back until she brought the bill. As another reviewer mentioned, there is a $ 2 upcharge for milk with a kids meal. Seriously? Sure, milk probably costs a little more than soda, but I have never seen that in any other restaurant. The waitress was clueless about their specials. I visited on a Wednesday and one of the specials on Wednesday nights is $ 2 craft beers — great deal! I tried to order a second one, but she told me that the special ended at 6 p.m. I told her that happy hour ended at 6, but the specials should go all night. Nope, she said… the daily specials end at 6 too. What??? Other things I didn’t like — the bill was wrong, the waitress handed us an empty pizza box for US to put our leftovers in(she wouldn’t do it), no one ever stopped at the table to check on our meals… I could go on and on. The biggest disappointment of the night was despite us telling them, they never did anything special for my daughter’s birthday. For $ 60, we should have just gone next door to StoneFire Pizza. The kids would have had a lot more fun.
