This place prices itself out of competition with its peers and the customer service leaves much to be desired.
I drove to the store for some Hoppe’s solvent. Finding some, I checked the Amazon price which happened to be significantly lower. I walked to the front of the store to ask the manager about price matching and he laughed before stating that they don’t price match with anything but brick and mortar stores. Lost a (albeit minor) sale.
Last time I’d told myself that it would be the last time I step foot in the store because of the outrageous prices. Not worth my time. This is truly the last.
If you can’t compete on price with an already healthy margin, you deserve to go the way of Blockbuster. Not the way to keep local business.
Store is otherwise clean and well-​stocked. That’s the only reason I gave it 2 stars.

If you want Academy then don’t come here. But we don’t have an Academy in NB which means you must come here. The prices aren’t as low but the store is nicer and you will be greeted and asked for assistance by at least a dozen associates. They are all really nice too.
I always find deals in their clearance racks and they have a nice running section of clothes too.

Stopped there to buy some running shorts and the place was very clean and the staff was very helpful. I purchased more than shorts because there were good deals. They had a large selection in all the brands.

Whomever is in charge of stocking this place needs to realize that just because we are texans doesn’t mean we are all xl or xxl. I went in for shorts last week and all very big sizes on the rack. Today I went for compression tights– again all that is stocked were xl or xxl. Hey, don’t tell me you’re sold out when the racks are full.

Not my cup of tea. After moving to San Antonio I find Achedemy to be the best option for basic sporting and camping goods.
If you are looking for a great golf pro shop then Dick’s is the way to go.

Went in today in the middle of the afternoon on a weekday. There were only a few people in the store.
I was needing help with choosing a workout/​running shoe. The one guy in the footwear section was more concerned with stocking shelves than helping me out. I had asked for this guy’s help 3 times while there. After about 45 minutes of trying on shoes by myself, I picked out a pair and purchased them. I
I should have just left and purchased my shoes elsewhere, but I had undergone surgery a few days before, and did not have the energy to shop other stores. I won’t go back here again.

This Dick’s is a bit smaller than some of the other stores I have been in but it is still awesome! They have a great selection of everything. I was in there the other day looking for an elbow brace and they had about 5 different kinds available. Football, baseball, basketball, golf, softball and any other sport you can think of is available at Dick’s all with great prices. They also have a great selection of apparel smack dab in the middle of the store. This place is your one stop shop for anything sporting goods, trust me!
