Spent valentines day in the area and walked into the store. Had an awesome selection of shoes and I purchased a nice comfortable pair. Slipped them on and walked around to two other areas and noticed a tear(once I sat down to take a break) in the side of the leather and stitching from what appeared to be a manufacturers defect. Took off the shoes and returned and was advised that there were not any more shoes in my size. Jacob asked if I wanted a refund but there was no way after walking in these shoes did I want to do this. I was then offered to have the shoes reordered and shipped to me and a week later my shoes arrived. Thanks for the service.

Just strolling through this souvenier store, I saw had some cool hats, but were a tad pricey. friendly staff.

This is my favorite local store. It is like having a little bit of Sportsman’s Finest or Whole Earth 10 minutes from home. The staff is nice and personable. I guess I am in there quite a bit, but I like that they know me and my boys. You’ll find very little here that Cabela’s carries. They have Patagonia(my fav), True Grit, Royal Robbins, and Ex Officio. Sometimes their fall colors get a bit drab for my taste, but I haven’t experienced that yet this year.

To the only other review, obviously that person is not a sports/outdoors person. This is a store targeted towards the outdoorsman/woman and is specialized towards fly fishing. DUH this store doesn’t have stuff that Cabelas or Academy has. This store has higher end equipment(e.g. Patagonia and Simms). Patagonia and Simms are too specialized and high priced for the average shopper there. Their selection of Simms fishing equipment is really good. The only other place similar to it is Sportsman’s Finest off Bee Caves road. The staff working there are actually knowledgeable towards fly fishing.

They carry a lot of the same stuff you’d find in places that are less expensive than here like Cabela’s or Acadamy but if you’re looking for something at the last minute, forgot something, just curious to see what they offer or want something«Gruene-themed» like a tee or what have you, then this is the right place to go. It’s very well stocked and the inside is set up nice so you might forget that you’re in a small town but I wouldn’t suggest buying everything you need from here.
