Pretty good beers they only had four on tap so we got those. The rueben was excellent & my hubs had the pierogies which were also good. A quiet atmosphere that’s not too busy within the Faust hotel. I would return & perhaps have a pint when I have more time. Service was also very good.

This place was a surprise. Not too crowded when we made it in. Games on the tube. Ordered some house brewed beers, and skimmed the food menu. Now, when I say I was blown away by what I ordered… I literally could not stop saying how delicious my plate was. PEIROGIS!!! Maybe I spelt that wrong but they are potatoes dumplings that with make you want more. The actual dumpling was crispy when I cut into it with my fork while also soft. The lemon butter, grilled bell peppers, and crispy onions… makes my mouth water right now just thinking about it. Even if you want to try as an appetizer… or not share. my preference… try their Potatoe dumplings. Go. Right now. You will not be disappointed. I want some.

Went for happy hour on a Friday. Waitress was top notch. Nice atmosphere. Apps were yummy, my only complaint about the food was the very small size of seared tuna for $ 11. The brussel sprouts were my favorite, the pita and dips were good, too. The mexican martini came with regular olives that we had to ask for after our drink was served. They really need to invest in the jalepeno stuffed olives for that drink and maybe to put in a bloody mary. This alone would’ve allowed me to give five stars.

I just love this place. As a local, it’s light on tourists. This place is a brewery and restaurant on the first floor of a historic hotel. They serve a full menu from lunch to about 10 or 11 pm. The beers they brew are great, and they offer flights, and they even have whiskey flights(Kentucky, Tennessee, and Irish). The food is almost gourmet in my opinion, it’s next level pub fare. They have Sunday brunch as well. TVs, restaurant seating, bar seating, and couches.

I love this place! I am a little upset with myself that I did not know about it, so that I could have booked my travel at this hotel, and could eat and drink their beer, daily. I ordered the Faust Wellington, which is house made bratwurst, wrapped with puff pastry. It was soooo good. It came with house made chips(Kartoffelchips), and they were great. My friends orders some other German foods, and they said their meals were fabulous, as well. I cannot wait until I am back in New Braunfels, I will be staying at this adorable hotel, and eating this food as much as I can.

It’s inside the Faust Hotel which is nice. It doesn’t have a brewery type atmosphere– but their beer was pretty good.

Best kept secret in new braunfels. This place has some very strange combinations but, each one is more delicious than the last. Our table ordered the Italian nachos, Greek salad with chicken and lamb kabobs. The Italian nachos were so good the person who got them ordered another plate to go because we all ended up eating them. My fiend had the Greek salad and raved it was one of the best she ever had which is saying quite a bit. The chicken on top of the salad could of been a meal itself. My lamb kabobs were amazing and the naan bread tasted like the real deal. The server was very friendly. My friend ordered a glass of red wine but the server also brought over an additional glass of white because the bartender poured it by mistake. Free wine yes please! I realize a lot of people probably don’t come here for the food but, that is a mistake. The only bad thing we have ever had on the menu was the beer cheese soup. We tell anyone that goes there to avoid it at all costs. It was not good and tasted like they poured it straight from a bag into the microwave.

We had lunch there today and it was excellent! The food was very tasty, not too heavy and the portions were generous. The beer soup was very good. I also had a burger and my friend had hot dogs. Everything tasted interesting and fresh. The service was fast and friendly, and the place is just beautiful. Very nice atmosphere, nothing fake, I wish we had something like this in Austin! Thanks!

We came here for a drink on my birthday. It was late and the bar was pretty loud. My sister stood up to give me a toast and the waitress told us we had to leave and she was going to cut us off. I pointed out that a table behind us was much louder than we were. The waitress snidely replied that they had to draw a line somewhere and set an example. This was the rudest service that I can recall. I am in New Braunfels native and has been to many bars in New Braunfels, this is one I will not be back to. If you can stand horrible service and rude waitstaff, go ahead and try it.

Had the house brew flight. Bartener was nice enough to give me all 5 brews for the normally 4-beer flight. Wasn’t too impressed but the beers got better the darker they got. The Oktoberfest was ok, the Altbier was nice, warm and great nose. The stout was the best of the bunch. Good nose, plenty of toasty notes and a good follow through. Free popcorn was a bonus and it was real good. The hotel lobby is pretty cool as well. A must see when visiting New Braunfels.

Off the beaten path; keep it local. Best fill up/watering hole from San Marcos to San Antonio(or vise versa). The authentic food, friendly atmosphere, and marvelous beer selection will keep you coming for years. Prost!!!

We visited here several times for drinks, but did not eat here. I have used this hotel for many decades, and have eaten in previous eateries here; but not this one. Great«sports-bar» type brewhouse in a classic small hotel. Nice crowd, good selection of house-made and regular brand beers. Full bar. The food looked like standard bar fare. Crowd is nice mix of tourists, locals, and off-duty employees. Free parking in rear, partially shaded hotel lot.

Great brewery located in the middle of what seemed like nowhere to me. But I was visiting from out of town. On Tuesday, it’s $ 3 beer night. Most everything is $ 3. A terrific deaI. We also had some fried catfish off a food truck and it was awesome. They do allow smoking outdoors where everyone sits, which is too bad because it spoils the atmosphere.

This is the best burger I have had in my life! I ordered the burger with beer cheese, lettuce, tomato, jalapeños, onions, and spinach all on a pretzel roll. I washed it down with their house brewed IPA and Orange Honey Wheat beer, again amazing and perfect. I can die happy now. If you are in New Braunfels, do yourself a favor and stop by the Faust Brewery order the burger and a cold glass of their brew. Everyone deserves to have this experience. Adam is a fun quirky bartender who gives excellent friendly service. He knows his beer and the menu. He will lead you in the right direction no matter your taste.

my husband and I went in on a Sunday at opening. there was one waitress and it showed. we got our app and drink within 10 mins but waited 40 mins for our entrees, 2 tables sitted after us got there drinks and meals before our entrees. I ordered a strawberry lemonade(alcoholic) and it was terrible. very tart and not sweet BUT my slouvaki skewers was amazing, the pretzel bites and grainy mustard was so good, my husband’s burger was devoured and he really enjoyed his flight of beer. 4 stars bc the food and beer was good but improvement on cocktails and service need attn.

Hubby loves brewpubs and this place was around the corner from where we were staying, so off we went. Truthfully, the food and service were good-I got a veggie burger with guacamole and their jalapeño crema, which I did not have high expectations of but found tasty and spicier than expected. Hubby and son enjoyed their Cubans. So the complaints? One is that it is VERYLOUD! Like, ridiculous, can’t hear yourself think loud! Also, not exactly family-friendly, since most of that loud is loud drunk adults. This is probably a fun place if you want a more party atmosphere for some loud adult-type fun, but not for a nice dinner for families or where you might want to actually talk to each other…

I went a few years back before they revamped the menu. It was just ok then. I have gone back recently and the menu has gotten a lot bigger and I have yet to be disappointed! The homemade brews are very good and they have a full bar with other beers besides theirs on tap. The food is amazing and very filling, however my only con is that the fries are a bit too salty. Oh! And I think they have best burgers in New Braunfels! You can sit at the bar or in the restaurant area. There are tvs and even free popcorn if you are just hanging out. This is definitely a place to try out, and they even have some great German food on their menu(plus burgers, fish and adult mac n cheese). Maybe in the daytime hours it is OK for kids.
