Gruene Day Spa

Jackie and Barbara are amazing!!! Of course booked these wonderful ladies on separate occasions. Scheduling was on target, no mess ups there. I suffer from occasional lower back discomfort due to womanly issues Jackie knew exactly how to relieve me. Barbara is fantastic as well after the wonderful body massage her facial and head massage was amazing. The only downfall to this place is the brightness in the rooms. I love it very dim. Not sure if all the rooms are like this. These ladies are very warm and welcoming. I will sure have another fun day with the girls at this place!

Jacky did a great massage, 90 minute deep tissue!!! Really enjoyed the experience! We will definitely come back next time we are in town!!!

Barbara rocks!!! I get a massage every 2 weeks to help with my Fibromyalgia. She is the best massage therapist I’ve ever had. She helps me so much and I love the spa!

Girls spa day gone wrong due to lack of organization and professionalism with the ladies at Gruene Day Spa :(I went with my mother and sister in law and combined we got 2 massages, 2 pedicures, 3 manicures, 1 bikini wax, and one facial. Not a single one of those treatments went well.
There were only 3 women working that morning (we scheduled a week in advance) and so they kept having to switch between us, which ended up leaving at least one of us sitting around doing nothing while we waited. They crammed us ALL in the back room together on three tables. While I got my massage, my mother in law laid on the table and got her pedicure while my sister in law got her facial. Not the most relaxing noises to be hearing while you get a massage… The entire course of the day went about like that, disorganization, unprofessional, awkward.
— Massages: not bad but not professional. It was basically just like someone giving your body a rub down. No special techniques and it didn’t seem like she knew what to do.
— Bikini Wax: she heated the wax way too hot and I had to wait alone in the room for 20 minutes while it cooled. Once it was over there were a ton of stray hairs left over that she attempted to pluck with tweezers…
— Manicures: only one coat on mine and some of them she didn’t even cover the whole nail! My mother in law’s french manicure was uneven and thick and gloppy. Smudged almost immediately.
Overall it was a terrible experience. Mainly because of the lack of professionalism, no one seemed to have a plan or know what they were doing! Very disappointing and felt like a complete waste of money.

I love Gruene Day Spa! This quaint little place is nestled in the small town of Gruene. Barbara is the owner and simply awesome! The spa creates a calming atmosphere and a Barbara is the best massage therapist!
I highly recommend stopping in to get rid of a little stress!
