Jack In the Box

Like all other JITB. Tacos that are very bad for you but necessary when you are out with friends and you are tipsy and need food. Ultimate cheeseburgers. Curly fries. They have one of those soda machines that you can make all kinds of fancy drinks with. Always ask for secret sauce!
I don’t come here often but when I do, it is taco time.

Ok for food while you are on the road… Besides the regular selection of burgers hey also have selection of extremely thin tacos. Only recommend if you need a quick burger.

Wow. Don’t even waste your time coming to this location.
My family and I waited in their drive-​thru lane for 26 minutes only to have half of our order missing. My husband went inside to get this resolved only to be blown off by the staff which was mostly made up of confused, poorly trained teenagers. He waited for TEN minutes before the shift manager helped him-​only to be accused of trying to get free food. Seriously!!!
It was a nightmare.

So slow, it shouldn’t take half an hour just to order when there are only 3 cars ahead of you

Ok, New Braunfels isn’t known for late-​night eateries. And Jack in the Box isn’t known for upscale meals, they’re known for cheap, greasy and it’ll-do-till-morning type of «food». At this particular location, the guy working the drive thru was something else. He was in an oversized black shirt (not traditional jack in the box garb), complimented my truck and when I said «Thank you, it’s my husband’s.» He actually followed that up with «So you single or what?». I couldn’t make this up if I tried. He tried playing it off by asking about my copilot dog. Alright Rico Suave, ciao. Fries were cold, burger looked like it tumbled down a hill. But, the chicken nuggets were actually good. And the syrup to carbonated water ratio was of a good balance too.
All in all: there’s a reason, a very good reason (or two or three) that this particular location has less than stellar reviews on Unilocal and Google. You’ve been warned next time your stomach tries to lead you astray.

Drive thru took forever, they didn’t know they had one of their own unlisted combo meals, they forgot to give me my drink and I noticed after I drove off.
When I tried to call the number on the receipt, no answer.
Goggled the rest. to make sure number on receipt was correct, numbers didn’t match! Called new number and that number has been disconnected!!!
What’s the point of a phone if you’re not going to use it!!!

One of the worst Jack In the Box ever! Customer service was horrible. Not two words at the window, no thank you, nothing. The fries were half full and mostly dumped in the bag — and no napkins. Pathetic.

My husband and I went through the drive-​through at this Jack in the Box for the seven piece jalapeño poppers and two tacos. After telling the man in the drive through we wanted the seven piece about three times (he kept asking, «the three piece?»), we finally paid and received our order and it was wrong. How can you mess up such a simple order with no special instructions? So I went inside to get our order fixed and while waiting for someone to help me, which took much longer than it should have, several other customers came in with problems on their orders as well. The cooks in back were rude, the service was very slow, and we will not be visiting this Jack in the Box again. I’ve never had such a bad experience with food before. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt at first when we realized our order was messed up, I’ve worked fast food before and I know how much it can suck, but seeing the way the employees treated me and the other customers when I got inside made me think otherwise.

It’s 1 am, bars are closed, and you’re chocolate wasted… there is only one thing guaranteed to satisfy that hunger:
Jack In the Box tacos.
It’s amazing that these are legally considered food, and similar to Jaegermeister, never sounds like a good idea unless you have a healthy buzz. You will regret your decision on purchasing $ 5 worth the next day but will not really know if it was the alcohol or the grease. Somehow, this feeling is completely forgotten on your next late night visit. If you’re feeling exceptionally randy… give that ultimate cheeseburger a whirl.

Had the Jumbo Jack no mayo, no kats, pls add mustard, it was dead on perfect and very tasty. Ive been to this location well over 5 to 6 times a month for 8 yrs, never a bad meal. Thats why I just went again!

Jack in the box may be known for its hamburgers, but its their tacos that are my main reason for visiting. Easily made, cheap to buy and absolutely delicious! This is not to say that their hamburgers aren’t worth the mention for they are quite tasty in their own respect. As good as their food may be, I must admit it’d be wise to stay away after about 9 pm or so as the drive through lines are generally backed up and the long hours seem to take their toll on the the night crew.

I felt the urge to write a review about Jack in the Box tacos!!!
First of all they are cheaper than dirt! Two for $ 1.00! How cheaper can you get? I always order them with extra veggies (meaning lettuce and tomatoes). They contain a mystery meat that to be honest with you, I don’t care to know what’s in it. My guesses have always been meat, beans, condiments and sauce. The truth: dunno/don’t ask/don’t care to know/don’t spoil the surprise :) Order the extra hot sauce that makes them oh-​so special! When ordering, always order extra because it’s a known fact that if your headed back home/​office people will ask you to at least have a bite, and believe me you don’t want to share!
My new find has been their Breakfast Bowls! Tried their Denver Bowl which is the one with veggies and Cheese. They’re probably the worst thing to have for breakfast since they’re oozing with cheese but don’t tell your belly, just wash is down with a sugar packed latte :)

I haven’t been to a Jack In The Box in probably two decades. This visit didn’t make me feel that I’ve been missing much because it’s pretty much a standard fast-​food restaurant, but it is a decent standard fast-​food restaurant. This one in particular was clean and had a very friendly staff, even late at night. It has outstanding curly fries, but was about noticibly more expensive than most other fast food places though, mainly noticeable in the combo meals. One thing that surprised me was the diversity of the menu — I don’t remember Jack in the Boxes have such a variety, including a lot of Tex-​Mex components. (I didn’t try any, but the rate they were being ordered by others suggests to me that they are at least ‘decent’.)
