Dr. Blair has been my physician since 2006 and I can only say positive things about him, his staff and office workers. He has great bedside manner and listens. Fortunately I have never had any healthy issues and only come here once a year for a check up. My friends also see him and love him. I love the location: an old house turned into an office. Very cute. Like all ob/gyn clinics, they may run late but they are widening with pregnant and sometimes high risk patients.

From the person who answers the phone to Dr Blair himself… this team cares. He got to the bottom of symptoms I have been complaining about for a year in less than a week! Thank you for taking the time to listen to your patients… something so many Dr’s seem too busy to do now-a-days.

So excited to have found such a good obgyn since moving away from mine. He makes me feel completely comfortable and confident. Third c-section coming up, it’s nice to feel safe. He has some pretty funny stories about driving thru traffic to get to the hospital on time to «catch a baby»! Hubby and I are very pleased with our pregnancy doctor visits so far!

Called this Office to get clarification on whether they accepted Humana Blue Choice PPO Silver plan purchased through the Marketplace. I was told they accept Blue Choice PPO«but not the silver one.» Excuse me, I will not have a doctor’s office receptionist snub anyone who pays over three hundred dollars a month for insurance because of her preconceived backwoods notion of what that country bumpkin probably still refers to as ObamaCare. It came off to me as if this uneducated, rude gate keeper thinks affordable care act compliant plans are charity or Medicaid. She placed me on a very long hold after telling me she would transfer me to the office manager. Thanks but no thanks. I bought a PPO, so I could choose any doctor I wanted within that network. He’s in network. Move along if you’re considering this doctor to avoid the aggravation.

My wife just called to make a new patient appointment and was hung up on by the office manager. The office manager told her she needed insurance information to hold the appointment after my wife told her that she just changed hospital employers and asked if she could call back when the new card comes in. Click. How are you going to sustain your practice if your gatekeepers are turning off new patients? We’ve otherwise heard rave reviews of the doctor so this is a shame.

I have 2 boys under the age 5 and three OBGYNs in the past five years. When we moved to New Braunfels from San Antonio, I had to looked for a new OB to delivery my second child, and it’s never comfortable to find a new OBGYN because that is the most intimate doctor a woman can have. Dr. Blair was not my first pick after comparing reviews(he was just slightly lower in reviews compared to the first pick), but he filled in for my OB during my last month of prenatal care and ultimately delivered my child via c-section. I went into labor first thing on a Saturday morning, barely made it to the hospital at 7 cm dilation(the c-section was scheduled for the following Tuesday). I’m on the operating room within 15 – 20 minutes after my arrival, in pain because the anesthesiologist had just arrived and worried that Dr. Blair was not going to get the call on time to make it to this rush delivery and an unknown oncall doctors were going to open me up when Dr. Blair popped his head in and greeted me good morning, I was so relieved. The postpartum scar was no bigger than the first delivery and the healing was faster because of this new giant surgical bandit he used on me. I ended up keeping Dr. Blair as my OBGYN post delivery because I am impressed with his comforting bedside manner and high professionalism. I cannot say enough good things about Dr. Blair. I totally recommend him for your OBGYN needs in New Braunfels.

I will keep this short. Dr. Blair was the on-call dr. for Dr. Geldernick. I had to go in 5 days after my c-section for pain and Dr. Blair found that I had a staph infection. They did a quick fix so I could be treated by my doctor the next day. They should have treated me on the spot instead of letting the staph get worse over the next 24 hours. Lesson learned, if having a baby in New Braunfels– find a Dr. in San Antonio or Austin. I wish I had listened to all of the people who had warned me.

By far the most professional, polite and respectful gynecologist/OB I have ever seen. My husband, 17 month old son and I went in for our first ultrasound only to discover our baby had no heartbeat. Dr. Blair was compassionate, respectful and helpful in giving us our options. He even had me come back in the following day for a follow up ultrasound just to put my mind at ease(free of charge). He had surgeries scheduled that day and left the surgical center to conduct the ultrasound himself. We look forward to trying for another child again in the near future and we definitely will be using him as our OB.
