la charreada was the best tex mex in this area outside of San Antonio, unfortunately now closed, the other one in Uvalde is open.

After a long morning of tubing the Guadalupe we were hungered! This is on the Farm Road back to I-​35 and very convenient.
Warm, fresh, crispy, yummy tortillas with mild salsa — which we tore through.
Barbacoa and enchilada plates were great — around $ 7 each and exactly what we wanted. The barbacoa meat was a little fatty, but very well flavored… The flour tortillas were fluffy and HOT! Both dishes were clean at the end of the meal.
We determined that it’s a 3.5 * experience.
Oh and it’s hilarious that the tables have Japanese icons on them :)
