This place is about as good as it gets. Amazing food, great people, great service. The menu was diverse and everything is fresh. Went with a bunch of people and everyone at the table raved. Even heard it from nearby tables. There was so much on the menu I wanted to try, that Im definitely going back soon!

A true gem! Went for lunch and we got the neutral corner chicken sandwich($ 6) and the TKO salad($ 9). Both were amazing and a great value. Both people that run the business are great and we will definitely be back.

Willie Pep’s is definitely in my top 3 places in New Britain to get a breakfast sandwich. I got a fresh cooked bacon, egg and cheese sandwich for only $ 3.00 and it was awesome. I don’t know what else to say about my sandwich besides it was a knockout. I will be back one day for round 2. The staff here is beyond friendly and brought my sandwich to my table. Willie Pep’s does have a history to their name and their nice enough to tell you the story if you ask.

This place has been open just over one year. The owner is Willie Pep’s step daughter. And she is a great cook. I had the escarole bean soup which was one of the best soups I ever had, the pork sandwich which was made out of hunks of juicy roasted pork, and the whiskey cake. Willie Pep’s wife makes the desserts and waits on tables. She is a delightful person. Her whiskey cake had chocolate chips and walnuts in it. It had the decided taste of whiskey. I devoured it. The food is homemade, the portions are generous and the prices are reasonable.

After seeing the glowing reviews I had to stop by. I ordered the Welterweight salad with chicken. It was so big I couldn’t finish it. Everything was fresh, goat cheese, walnuts, apples, pears… oh my ! Nice people. Great place, I will be back.

Wow what a sandwich. Got the Brawler… basically a pastrami Reuben with caramelized onions. It was incredible and the Cole slaw was equally delicious. Will be back as often as possible. Service was the best of all, ladies talking it up and enjoying company. If you need to know nothing else this is the place the local PD and FD goes for lunch. Do it.

This café serves the freshest salads ever. They use real roasted meats in their salads and sandwiches. The staff is so friendly. The restaurant is very clean and has an awesome tin ceiling. The servings are huge.

This is by far the best little lunch stop I’ve been to in a long time. The food was excellent, fresh and flavorful. The service was friendly and down to earth. The portion sizes are extremely generous. Will definitely be making this a regular stop!

This place is fantastic! My whole construction crew stopped in for lunch and we all left stuffed. Staff is great and makes you feel at home. I just wish they were open a little longer or maybe weekends.

There should be a sign on I 87 for this little gem! Excellent soup, sandwhich, and salad dive that is family owned. Started by the owner’s step father Willie, who was a famous featherweight boxer. He passed away in 2006, and the family honors him by carrying on the business, and a thriving one at that. They plan to expand with an outdoor patio as well. The food is super, cooked to order, timely and tasty!!! The place is clean and well known by the locals. A must stop if you get hungry ! Easy access on and off the freeway, even in an RV, which we are pulling. It is about a mile at the most off the freeway. Well worth a few extra minutes!!!

Awesome sandwich shop! A real mom & pop type place with a great atmosphere. I recommend ‘The jab!’ which had homemade meatballs. The ladies who own it really know what they are doing! I will be back soon!!!

Tried the Barnburner sandwich and ordered a second one to go! Will definitely come back and try breakfast and other sandwiches on menu. The owner and her mother waited on us, very friendly atmosphere. Homestyle cooking at its best.
