Service was poor at best. My coworker got an ice tea and 2 slices of pizza for 7.55. Pizza was like cardboard with cheese melted on it. Where’s the sauce MFer? My sub was OK.

Sometimes when you walk into a good pizza place for the forst time you can tell how good the pizza’s gonna be by the aroma that first fills your nose. That just happened… I’m here in New Brunswick and needed a quick bite to hold me over until dinner so I stopped in a Filippo’s because it was the first place I saw. Only ordered a plain slice, but it was delicious. Nice thin and crispy(not soggy) crust, delicious sauce that wasn’t too sweet, and the right amount of cheese. Counter guys seem very friendly and the place is pretty big and clean. Only negative is that the sauce and cheese could have gone up a little higher towards the crust, but even so it was a great effort. Would be happy to come back here again!

Pizzas are good but I really love the cheesesteak with onions and green bell peppers! Wings are the way I like them, not drenched with heavy sauce!

This is my favorite pizza! Huge pizzas for cheap prices! They deliver after 2pm but open at 10am! They also serve pizza by the slice if you stop in! We LOVE going here after a long night out! Their crust is fantastic! If you want your pizza a little more cooked to make it less gooey and amazing just ask for«extra crispy»!

I really don’t like this pizza the crust wasn’t soft at all. The service wasn’t good. I waiting a little too long for a burnt pizza. –_–

Excellent pizza made by loving hands. I asked for a large pie with eggplant, pepperoni and a little extra sauce and was greeted with an «absolutely.» Not only did the pizza get there for the cash — crisp foldable crust and top notch toppings — this place is roomy, bright and just downright clean and comfortable. Very friendly staff who seemed to appreciate my business. Outstanding food. Good prices. Great experience.

I happened to be in New Brunswick for work and in the mood for some New York style pizza. A colleague recommended Filippo’s so I decided to give it a try. The place is nothing fancy — a decently sized dining area with appropriately tacky décor and take out counter. I ordered a couple of slices of cheese to go. The slices were huge, crisp, and thin with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. Delish! Services was fast and friendly in an old-school kind of way. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a quick cheap bite downtown.

I’ve stopped by here a few times to grab a slice on my way somewhere and the service has been speedy. Both times I got the chicken bella, which is chicken, peppers, fresh mozzarella and some other stuff on a perfect thin crust. It was delicious both times. Not too greasy. Perfect amount of toppings and an amazingly crispy crust. Will have to go back to try some other things.

Horrible service! Spent 15 minutes on the phone trying to place a very simple order which was one large chicken calzone, one small mushroom calzone, and an order of onion rings. The man on the other line had to keep putting us on hold and checking with someone else to figure out what we were saying. We had him confirm the order before we hung up and assumed everything was fine. About an hour later, we get one chicken calzone, one small mushroom calzone, and a bottle of orange Fanta. What we were charged for was our original order with the onion rings. They told us if they had to come out again, they would have to charge us for the onion rings again PLUS another delivery fee. Basically, we got a $ 7 bottle of Fanta no one likes and no onion rings. Not to mention he also got our address wrong and delivered our food to our neighbors. The food is great, but due to the horrible service, we will not be ordering again.

Went with pizza and wings. The wings are breaded and done fried chicken style. Very tasty, but not a buffalo wing. They gave me some tasty hot sauce to dip the wings in, but I’m not a huge fan of that. The pizza was crunchy the way I like it, not thin crust but able to hold itself straight. It’s almost like they know their sauce is not very good and just skip putting a lot on the pizza. That was fine, but the dough was almost sweet, so it was like eating a buttery/sweet piece of pizza. Better than a piece with bad sauce, but not my favorite. My quest for a decent buffalo wing continues.

Sometimes I get slices here if I’m starving after my evening class. The pizza is OK. Crust is really crispy, making it difficult to fold the slices in half — sorry, but that’s the way pizza should be eaten. Not a fan of that. The cheese and sauce are OK, it’s not too greasy or anything. Just kind of meh — nothing special. Forgettable. $ 2 for a cheese slice is the only reason to go.

Pretty good pizza, tried them one day for lunch when in town for jury duty. Slices are pretty big and they tasted great. Price wise it was $ 1.87 a slice and two would fill a big guy up. Place was packed so there is limited room, also speaks to their popularity. Would eat there again anytime.

I’m a Californian and happened to be staying at the Heldrich Hotel which is right next to this mom and pop shop. I was really craving pizza and have never tried«NY style» pizza. To my surprise, it was bombtastic and relatively cheap for the serving! I believe $ 1.85 a slice and it was just freakin’ delicious. I also tried the meatball spaghetti which was to my surprise, also really yummy and there was so much food! Overall, I had a good food experience but I wouldn’t dine in. The place looked very unappealing and unclean. Other than that, pizza is verrrry good! Better and cheaper compared to another pizza joint about a block the opposite way.

This is the best NY style pizza in the area… probably better than the majority of slices I’ve had in NYC. Filippo’s uses awesome and classic ingredients(Grande cheese, sells only Coca Cola products.) The takeaway: I’m a pizza-head, and I’d go so far as to say this is serious destination-worthy pizza. Get your pie half sausage.

The pizza here is decent: Some days really good, other days oily/greasy. When I pat-dry the oil with a napkin, the whole napkin becomes see-thru. Not a good sign, unless eating artery-clogging food is your thing! But the reason I’d come back here again is the chicken wings. The wings are crispy, but not too breaded. They’re sold in «mild» or «hot», but the mild is hot enough for me. Dipping them in blue-cheese sauce makes it a winning combination! The size of the wings are good too. I’m not sure if they sell boneless wings because I never tried ordering it. Like I said, it’s not gonna be the best Italian food you’ve ever tasted, but you’ll definitely enjoy your meal. Ciao! ;p
