I have ordered take-out several times and the food is not good. I will not be ordering again. Never tried the pizza but have received pasta dishes, chicken dishes and salads. Dishes are consistently under-seasoned, contain poor quality ingredients(e.g. «Italian sausage» is thin slices of tasteless stuff that appear to be pre-packaged and frozen and«chicken breast» is thinly sliced over-cooked bland meat) and really just don’t taste good. It is unfortunate because it would be great to have a good, tasty Italian take-out place in New Brunswick.

We ordered take out from Panico’s and it delivered. We got a chicken parm pizza, which was amazing. The chicken was cooked to perfectiona dn teh pizza was simply delicious. We also got a chicken arugula salad. I was surprised with how much chicken they put in. They also had large chunks of mozzarella cheese which was a nice plus.

Only had drinks here because the hostess took so long to show up and the guy right next to her on the cash register refused to help. Service is obviously pretty bad and the ambience is not good.

I was so disappointed in the food and service. I went up to the hostess and informed them that I’d like to sit at the bar. She said someone will be with me and no one came and no one works at the bar. I went up to be seated again at a regular table instead. I ordered the lemon chicken orzo soup. It just tastes like lemon pepper flavoring. The soup wasn’t good. No chicken in it or anything else but orzo. I had 2 mushroom slices. They added extra mozzarella to two already prepared plain slices. The new cheese wasn’t melted all the way and some of the mushrooms were still raw. So disappointed.

Delicious thin crust pizza. Had the large mushroom pie and side of Caesar salad. Also had good, quick service by our waiter. He was very attentive and quick with our requests, and we had many, with 3 young children in tow!

The waitress ignored us most of the time. Sat down at the table but still had to walk up to the desk to place my order & to pay my tab. The wings were REALLYGOOD! Tried bbq & buffalo… amazing! Despite the service, the food gets the stars

It’s okay! Not the most amazing pizza, but it’s great for a quick fix and a drink! They have a full bar with a variety of drinks and beer! You can choose to sit by the bar or dine in. Usually, when I come here, there are not many people, so sometimes I see people staying here to study or do work on the laptop. Also, the service tends to be pretty good!

Don’t waste your time or money. Let’s me just start off with saying I walked in more than an hour before closing and the waitress just looked very disappointed. When she asked if I was doing take out or done in, I felt as if I was being harassed. It wasn’t even just one waitress it was both of the night shift servers. Their attitude was awfully rude and disgusting for a customer service jobs. Customer service: horrible. They sat my friend and I in a dirty area. The wall we were against looked as if someone kept missing their mouth and hitting the wall with their food, and the staff doesn’t mind the sight of it. The floors were a mess with crumbs and left over food as well. I asked to be seated in another section right next to this one and she flat out said«no we are closing soon» I hate myself their was already a party in there and the restraint wasn’t closing until another hour. So whatever we didn’t sit there. I wish I just left but stupid me was so hungry I just wanted to eat. While looking through the menu not even 5min in the waitress asked me a total of 6x if I was ready to order. ANNOYING. it wasn’t as if the kitchen was closing because their were at least 10 other tables. Which I don’t understand how because their food and service is horrible.(Must be their first experience too) after we ordered the waitress put the order in and came back with an attitude«Do you want bread?» The rudeness went on the entire dinner I won’t type every second of t because this review would never end but bottom line is, just eat somewhere else. Food: I ordered chicken parm and my friend got the eggplant rolatini. My chicken was very tough and the sauce was as bland as can be. The eggplant was bland and had horrible quality cheese. I’m warning you don’t dare spending your money here.

I thought the place is ok. It surprised me to see such varieties on the menu, I thought it was jus another pizzaria. Anyway, went in for lunch and ordered the calamari salad. I thought it’s pretty unique and I never had or seen calamari salad. Had the salad, it’s good but not that great that it makes me want to go back to the place. Staff was friendly as well. I’m only giving it 3 stars because that’s the only thing I tried. I’ll update when I go there and try some other stuff they have.

Terrible!!! The sauce was almost raw or rancid tasting. We felt sick after eating this pizza.

Got delivery through Unilocal ordering. My delivery driver decided that she had driven too far and decided to tell me about it. If you don’t want to deliver to an area, figure it out beforehand and don’t get pissed at your customers. She was not a good ambassador for your business. Driver — I tipped 18%, take it up with your owner that took $ 2.00 of your gratuity for the delivery charge.

Had lunch here on a Saturday and the place was empty. Service was very good. The waitress was friendly and took very good care of us. We started with the fried calamari. It had what looked like a peppery coating on it but while it was tender it had very little taste. Very bland. We ordered two pizzas a French street and a sausage pie. While the French street was spicy, that’s all it had. It was just hot no other flavors. The sausage pie was not bad but could have been a little more as it was a little soggy. Not bad but not great.

The pizza is tasty, but we have had problems with deliveries 2 or 3 times(and we’ve only lived in the area 11 months), including one time when the delivery never came and we had to go there in person to ensure our credit card wasn’t charged. Also, they recently reduced the size of their large pizza by about 25% without changing the price. Those factors combined made us decide to try another place. And charging $ 2 to deliver 3 blocks away to our building is pretty lame. UPDATE: upgrading to 3 stars because they’ve been reasonably dependable since I entered my 1-star review.

It’s a decently priced lunch spot in the area. The pizza comes out soft and chewy,(I prefer crispy and a little harder texture). The wings here are crispy and pretty good. Overall, not too bad in the area but not that great. The interior is decked out in Rutgers gear.

I dropped in Panico’s once just to grab some pizza for dinner and it was just fine. The pizza did hold together but it did taste good! I went for the French Street pizza. I have to hand it to them, it came out quick. We were also able to grab seats easily because Rutgers was on break. Otherwise Friday night would have been tough. They have a bunch of TVs up, so don’t worry about missing your games either.

Overall a good place for casual lunch. Pub sort of an atmosphere with Rutgers college/sports theme. Varied menu. Casual seating. Service could be more efficient.

We went there late to order some pizza after leaving the bars. As we ordered our food, no anyone said they were trying to close. Right as we sat down, their manager kept chanting out loud to us «you don’t have to go home, but get the **** out of here!!» When my friend confronted him, he got all alpha male on us. Oh, and the pizza sucked. I wish I walked in the rain to Jimmy’s.

I absolutely love this place. My favorite is the penne alla vodka pizza. So yummy! Service is always impeccable and delivery time is quick.

My co workers and I placed an order for food here the other day. Other than decent delivery time, the food was not anything to recommend. I got a pasta fagioli soup(white version) for $ 4.95 plus tax. As soon as I saw the soup I knew immeditaely I made a mistake. It was an almost clear liquid brooth, very watery with white pasta noodles and white beans dumped in. There was no authenticity about this what so ever. The tatse was very bland even after dumping in a lil thing of parm cheese into. Very disappointing. My co workers ordered pizza, which I had a slice off. Norhing special about it and slices were on the small side. Will not be going back here again unfor.

Tucked away right around the corner from the train station in New Brunswick, and smack in the epicenter of the Rutgers college madness, it would be easy for one to assume dismiss Panico’s as yet another, college town average«slice and a beer» place. In fact, the service is friendly and prompt, the food good, and yes the beer is cold! The restaurant is festooned with Rutgers memorabilia. They serve a traditional New Jersey style brick oven pizza, thin but not outrageously so, with a sauce that trends toward a little chunky with a tangy kick and a bit more olive oil than some places. We also tried appetizers, which were freshly made. For many pizza places, other, more traditional Italian style menu items are an Achilles’ heel, but we also had the Veal Marsala, and it was quite tasty. It would be easy for Panico’s to slide by on their convenient location alone — but the food makes it worth the trip.
