Hazel is great and I’m really happy with my whole salon experience. I texted her and made an appointment, and she was ready for me as soon as I walked in. I love that I don’t have to wait! She’s very professional, you book your appointment and she reserves that time for you, so no waiting around blowing the day in the salon.
I came in for an ombré balayage highlight and blow out and I was soo happy with the end result! I told her how I wanted my hair pressed and styled and man did she deliver. So first, she sat me down immediately, we went over what I wanted and what I was comfortable with, I showed her some pictures, and she explained to me what I should expect, since this was my first professional color experience. The whole process was quick and easy and I was comfortable the whole time. And I think her prices are super fair. I had an amazing experience and I’ll definitely be recommending her to all my friends and family! I’m so glad I found her! If you’re looking for a new stylist, look no further.

Also, as a tip, street parking next to the salon was easy, (I don’t imagine it being too crowded), and there’s some pretty good/​cheap Spanish food right across the street if you’re going to be sitting under the dryer for awhile. So the location is convenient.

Hazel did an AMAZING job on my hair. I have combination 4a/​b hair and came to Hazel for a deep condition, trim, and blowout. I had been looking for a permanent place to go while I am here in NJ. I tried another salon close by from a friend recommendation but their prices were not worth the work. Hazel beyond SLAYED my hair. I had major product build up when I can in and now this mane is tamed, full of body, and shine.
Communication with Hazel before and during the appointment was amazing. She was sure to text me back promptly to schedule my appointment and made sure I knew where I was going sine I am new to the area. During my appointment, Hazel made sure that my hair was done to my liking (e.g., full of body or flat, curled or bumped, parting, etc.) I arrive 10 minutes early and she was able to take me right away. I was in and out in about 1 hr and 15 minutes. I love speedy service! She took her time detangling my hair and used the hooded dryer as the primary source of getting my hair dry (much appreciated as I cannot stand the heat of a handheld dryer for too long).
If you are looking awesome hair care, definitely come see Hazel! I have found my permanent hair home in NJ. Thank you, girl!!!

This review is over due! However, it worked out bc I really got to see how my hair held up and I can give an honest review. With that being said, if you have not gone to hazel Alexandra for hair you’re missing out! 1^st her prices are fair, she took the time to go over different options and how I should do my hair based on my needs. Also she does amazing cuts! Everyone keeps asking me about my hair and telling me how good it looks! She’s super talented at what she does and you can tell she has a passion for it!

Hazel is very efficient and quick and amazing with hair! She was very responsive before the appointment and answered all my questions patiently. I had to get hair extensions for an event, and since I’m not used to the whole process, I was nervous and a little worried about how it would look and how I can manage the extensions. She made it all very easy! And she made it look amazingly natural by cutting layers in the extensions to make it look like a natural extension of my own hair.

Hazel is, by far, the BEST! She’s knowledgeable, professional, and her hands are MAGIC!!! There are very few people I trust to touch/​style my hair but I’ve seen Hazel for the last 4 years or so and she does wonders each and every time. More than that, you can easily see that hair is her passion and she will never leave you disappointed. She’s a must see stylist, most definitely!

Hazel is a wonderful professional hair stylist, she delivers nothing but excellence when it comes to her clients, she will make you look beautiful for any event, I have very thin fine curly hair and her expertise with all types of hair makes her the perfect hair dresser. From blow outs, wash and sets and hair extensions she won’t disappoint you when it comes to handling your hair. I believe amongst her expertise her professionalism and respect for her clients is what makes her stand out. Highly recommended to all.

Hazel is a hair magician! She is experienced in all hair textures. As I am Italian and have wavy thick fine like hair, she always knows how to leave my hair shiny and styled to perfection. She is very knowledgeable in hair care (maintenance, products, styling tricks and preservation of maintaining styles). She has performed trims, clip on extensions, braids and styles on my hair in which there wasn’t a time where I ever left her place of business without feeling 100 percent satisfied. She is always up to date with color, sew ins, cuts and trends for every season. I love that she treats all of her clients as her masterpiece of art! I would highly recommend her to anyone seeking out someone who is in need of a makeover, maintaining their flawless locks, or in need of some TLC to those stressed tresses!
