I had the fat vegan sub and it was delivered cold and the vegan cheese was ice cold it was just a over priced mess. I should’ve ordered something else but no good at all. Save your time, money and stomach.

What a disappointment. Did someone buy this and change the food? Been a customer for 15 plus years and the goodness is gone. Now their pizza tastes like everyone else’s but greasier and blander. Thumbs down from Townsend Streeet

Unfortunately, as much as I really wanted to like it, I was really disappointed by the half plain/half mushroom vegan pizza that I ordered from Tata’s. The mushrooms were rubbery and badly cooked, the dough and vegan cheese were were bland and tasteless. I won’t becoming back.

This is hands down the best pizza you will find in New Brunswick. The service is great, fast, and personable– this crew of hardworking dough slingers will remember you, too. The best bang for your buck in town. The combo deals they have offered in the past are great!

Reunited and it feels so good. The fat sandwich was an experience for me and I still think fondly of my first fat bastard. Going vegan, you really treasure guilty pleasure spots that are able to pull off vegan eats minus the organic, local, foodie pomp and trendiness. Vegan doesn’t always have to mean green, and there’s nothing wrong with indulging some greasy fried comfort foods like the kind that Tata’s offers. I can’t tell you how excited I was to see vegan fat sandwiches. We got two fat yolo warriors and a Mac attack pizza. Very good, although we really think some kind of ranch sauce would put this food over the top. Other than that though, we destroyed our food in minutes and are anxiously awaiting the next chance we get to come through. Vegan junk food for life.

It was a rainy day and I was hungry. Being vegan, there are not too many options around and I didn’t feel like walking all the way to Veganized. I’d heard that Tata’s had a vegan menu, and it was right in the neighborhood, so I decided to give it a try. I ordered the vegan YOLO warrior fat sandwich and it was delicious! It had(all vegan) chik’n, bacon, French fries, BBQ sauce, lettuce, tomatoes, and cheddar. They gave you quite the portion and the sandwich was really filling! I’ll definitely be coming back and can’t wait to try other vegan options because they sound killer! PS– something small to note– the price on the menu has changed… It’s $ 9.10 instead of $ 8.50.

Ta-Ta’s has a unique style of pizza. No one else makes one like it. I think it’s great. The old owner and the current owner are both nice guys and fun to talk to.

can’t speak to the non-vegan options(haven’t heard good things) but love all the vegan options on the menu!

Vegan meat lovers’ pizza! So glad they offer this. If you are feeding four people, spring for the extra large. Teese cheese is a cross between ricotta and mozzarella, which is wonderful for me. My spouse wanted a little extra sauce, so maybe you can ask for that on the side. We picked up our pie, and it was fast friendly service.

Tata’s is a veg-friendly security blanket: it’s there when you’re a broke post-grad in a cheap sublet across the street, it’s there when you’ve consumed too many pitchers at the ale n ‘wich most nights, and it’s especially there when your significant other starts delivering for them after work. Expanding from hummus and french fry wraps to a complete vegan menu, Tata’s is always delicious, Andy is always friendly, and it’s always there when you need it.

As a Rutgers student, Tata’s is definitely one of my go-to pizza places since it’s so close to campus, and has good food. I usually go to the restaurant to get my food, and although it can take a long time, it’s definitely worth it. However, this was my first time ordering delivery, and I definitely will never again. I ordered online, requesting a mexican pizza. I’m a vegetarian, but was sharing the pie with a friend who wanted sausage on half. Since there was no option to indicate that I wanted the topping just on one half, I added the extra topping and then wrote a note that it was to only be put on one half of the pie. When the pizza arrived however, there was sausage on the entire thing. When I called them, the guy who picked up said that he hadn’t even looked at the notes section before making the pie. He said he would re-make it, without any sausage, and have it delivered. I told him that my friend had eaten a few slices of the other pie, but he just laughed and said it was okay, so I assumed that meant we would keep it since it was their mistake not ours. However, when the delivery guy came back, he said he was told to exchange the pies, which I was never informed of. Not wanting to have further confusion, we exchanged the pies, but not before the delivery guy told me that they usually just give out free slices from returned pies to customers at the store, which I think is gross and ridiculous. If they were just going to give them out for free, why not let us keep it for free? Not to mention it’s unsanitary since my friend had already started eating, and it had been open and in our possession for over an hour. Overall, HORRIBLE customer service. I’ve never had a restaurant take back food when they made a mistake unless I voluntarily gave it back. Definitely will never order delivery from them again. Also, if they ever offer you a free slice, think twice. You never know where it came from!

I live probably 30 seconds away from Tatas and have only gone there once. I tried going there once probably around 2 o clock and they were closed. The pizza is below average to average quality, can’t say I wanted to try anything else. There are soooo many other better pizza places on Easton. Only go here if it’s convenient(and even then you might not want too)

If I could give it zero stars I would. I would never recommend this place to anyone. There are so many amazing places to get pizza in NJ, this is NOT one of them. I feel like people not from Jersey gave this place 4 or 5 stars! No flavor, no crunch, I would rather have Ellios frozen pizza. Don’t waste your time.

Full disclosure, about 3 years ago I worked here as a delivery guy. As unbiased as I can say this, Tata’s is amazing! If you get pizza, definitely do pizza by the pie, which is fantastic!!! It’s got this thick doughy quality that’s unlike most other pizza places. Toppings are generous and really good. They make the pizza from scratch by hand, and bake it fresh when you order. And I can tell you, because I used to work here, everything is clean and fresh! Pizza by the slice is a little lacking. The non-pizza food is also really good. The fallafel is the hidden gem – both the pita AND the fallafel balls are cooked from dough when you order, and both are made from scratch. I’m also a big fan of the pasta dishes, which are very generous and come with a whole loaf of garlic bread for free. Fat sandwiches are decent. Probably the best part is the owner, Andy Lam. His just such a nice genuine guy, visiting with him is always a treat.

Very good pizza… not a place to sit & stay so if you’re traveling here, do yourself a favor and call your order in ahead and order it for take-out…vegan options are awesome… many options for many different people.

I checked out this restaurant because I have several vegan friends and I would like to find some good places to take them in New Brunswick. This is one of the few places here with a dedicated part of their menu with sandwiches/subs and pizzas. I am not a vegan but I ordered the vegan BBQ chicken sandwich and a vegan pizza. The sandwich was awesome with great texture and flavor and I would recommend to non-vegans. The pizza was good, not sure if it will bump be off of mozzarella anytime soon. I plan to update this review after trying their regular pizzas and more of their menu.

This is the one business in New Brunswick where your pizza is handed to you with a smile and not thrown at you:) Tata’s hands down has the best BBQ chicken pizza and the slices are HUGE. I have never had anything here that I haven’t liked and they often run great deals on GrubHub Thanks for being my go-to pizza place!

Tata’s is a fantastic establishment. They deliver, they have cool t shirts, and now have an assortment of vegan options(both pizza and fat sandwiches!) For some reason Tata’s also has a massive drink selection. I dont know about the other reviews on here, their traditional pizza is quite solid. The vegan pizza and fat sandwiches are killer. My personal recommendation is the hummus and french fry wrap — it sounds boring but it isn’t. Also the pita/wrap dough has to be tried. Its soft and fluffy, but trust me it works and tastes real good. Most importantly the people that work there are super nice. Andy is a solid guy! If you’re in New Brunswick Tata’s is a must!

Thank the Space Pope that this place exist, they have an entire vegan menu! Whole vegan pies, veggie toppings, veggie chicken meatballs or sausage, vegan fat sandwiches, vegan subs — amazing, amazing. They use Teese brand — I’m not the biggest Teese fan but I’m pretty sold with how they cook it on their pizza. Tastes like fresh mozarella. They put the toppings under the cheese which is interesting but delicious. Kind of pricey. But the service is outstanding. Take-out only(no place to sit and eat). Front of the house guy is a sweetheart. THANKYOU for having a vegan menu!
