Good place just have to know what to order and what not to order. The delivery takes forever; however they do open till late so it was great when I needed a midnight«snack». My favorite dish at Nuebies hands down is the fire ball chicken with hot garlic sauce. Very very saucy, spicy, delicious, and hits the spot. I’ve also had the falafel sandwich and a fat sandwich which were both not bad.

Don’t waste your time. I ordered online with the option to deliver but after placing the order they called to say they do not deliver to this location.

Other posters summed it up well. There are many other places in the area that are worth a visit.

You would think with all the terrible reviews on here, they would want to make money before they go out of business. However, here I am, sitting in a house with no food at 12am because their online ordering app let me order a pizza from them and they call to say I’m outside their delivery area when I’m only 10 minutes away. I guess I should be grateful they won’t break into my house.

I’ve been here a few times for a few plain slices; for the most part they are good if fresh from the oven. I haven’t tried the other food but their kitchen area doesn’t look appetizing. The sitting area is small but decent when clean. The service could use significant improvement. The staff is often on the phone, distracted, or seem to be arguing/upset about stuff that goes wrong with orders.

I’m as much a lover of crappy take-out food as anyone but it’s hard to defend Nuebies. Rutgers has a plethora of take-out places, ranging in quality, but Nuebies is at the very bottom of that list. For one, no matter when you order your food, you’re pretty much guaranteed to wait at least an hour for it. A minor delivery criticism is that no matter how many times you say«Quad 1, Livingston», they will deliver only to the Quad 2 Bus Stop and expect you to go get it. I know that may sound spoiled but I pay a delivery fee to have it delivered to me! Also, the food is quite poor. I’ve ordered from them out of desperation 2 – 4 times and each time, it has ended quite badly. The fat sandwiches are awful(and more cramp inducing than Brower). The pizza is average on it’s best night. The prices aren’t low enough to justify the poor quality. There are so many better places around Rutgers. Visit there instead.

This place is by far the worst on Easton Ave to eat at(and that includes the new pizza place that also serves sushi). I have ordered pizza slices and fat sandwiches from here a few times and each time(whether delivery or in person) the food came out rubbery and cold. Not sure why other people are calling their ingredients«gourmet» and«the best» because they certainly use unfresh vegetables for their fat sandwiches. Not only is the food terrible but the service is awful as well. I’ve gone here at normal day hours and late at night, but they always seem to be pissed that they’re working because they’re really rude no matter how polite you are with them. Also, they take about 2 hours to deliver your food… And I live on College Ave. There are many more food places with nicer employees and WAY better food to go to on Easton or nearby

By far one of the worst place in New Brunswick — there are already a ton of negative stories on here already, but our incident has us questioning about whether to file a police report. So the disclaimer is I didn’t purchase food on this night, however one of my roommates did. After having to wait well beyond her delivery time(20 or 30 minutes over) and numerous phone complaints, she eventually fell asleep with her phone assuming the food was never going to come. Lo and behold, the delivery guy arrived an hour after they said he should be there, at 3AM. After being unable to get in touch with my roommate, he pounded on the door and immediately barged into our house without anyone letting him in. Nobody was awake, it was a 30 year-old grown man breaking into a house of college aged girls screaming about«where his money was.» Not only was it a terrifying experience, but he refused to apologize or leave the house until we mentioned a police report and started to demand a name. Instead, he kept complaining about how we should be up or took too long to come downstairs(all two seconds he gave us before breaking in, at 3 in the God-damn morning). Whats even worse, when we called the store to complain(hoping it was just a bad delivery driver), they REFUSED to apologize and simply said it was our fault. We could have prevented the«breaking and entering and trespassing» if we had waited up the extra hour. I mean, who cares about home privacy when your can eat cold, card-boardy pizza and greasy disgusting fries. So yeah, filing a police report tomorrow. Food sucked, service was unbelievably worse.

I live 10 mins or less from this restaurant but since it was late night I didnt feel like going out so I ordered for delivery. They said it would take about 30 – 35 mins. It actually took 1 and a half hour to deliver my food. I tried calling the restaurant several times but no one picked up at all which I found very rude .All i ordered was chicken fingers and a tiramusu cake, NEVER got the tiramusu which I PAID for NEVERAGAINWILL I ORDERORRECOMMENDTHISPLACETOANYONE.

Out of all the places in brunswick, I don’t understand why people go here. Geo’s is right down the street, so much better and worth the walk. The pizza looked gross and unappealing and tasted equally as gross. Maybe they get their business only after the bars close.

Finally… a fat sandwich with superior ingredients. The Fat Bastard included: Gyro, chicken fingers, mozzarella sticks, french fries, lettuce, tomatoes, and white sauce. Most places around use some cheap breaded chicken patty as the«chicken fingers» that are supposed to be in the sandwich. But Nuebies uses huge juicy chicken tenders in their fat sandwiches. Also, TWO pieces of massive gyro meat, big mozzarella sticks, and the french fries were the awesome crunchy type that are battered and fried. Not to mention that the sandwich was almost a foot long and half a foot wide; it was a beast. I was impressed. So far, best Fat Sandwich restaurant in town. But I will continue to hunt…

I can’t really emphasize on how sick I got the last time I stopped in here with some friends … I ordered 2 plain slices. It was the end of the night so maybe that had something to do with it? Maybe the slices had been sitting there forever, not sure. Not sure how you can screw that up– just plain slices … Then upon getting home I puked my lungs out. I had eaten here before on a few occasions and I was reassured at one point they were a «clean» pizza joint but after that last experience, never again.

Food took 2 hours to be delivered, and half the order was left in the deliver car. Even though we had already paid for ALL the food and alerted the restaurant immediately, they did not turn the car around to bring us the order, they waited to deliver all other orders, adding an extra hour and a half. So iIN TOTALWEWAITED3.5HOURS for food that was god awful. When trying to determine where the rest of the order was a worker rushed me off the phone, and hung up when I asked to speak to a manager, and ignored all other calls I made. I will never order from this place again.

Best pizza, slice or pie on Easton Ave. The guy behind the counter is always welcoming, pleasant and quick to serve your order. It’s the only pizza I order in the neighborhood.

Delivery consistently takes well over an hour on small orders. Food is mediocre at its best. Actually its an hour and a half now, and I’m fairly certain it’s not even coming. I don’t care, as i prefer not to give them any money now.

ordered food online. the total including delivery fee, tips, taxes, etc. came out to be less but around $ 26. next day, I realized that they charged me a little more than $ 27. self checked double, triple times and the total still comes up to be less than $ 26. my conclusion? the people working there are thieves! they think that their customers are dumb who do not even check their bank transactions. I’ve been telling people around me how sneaky these people are and I am never going to order from this place again. plus the food is bad too. STAYAWAY.

This place sucks! ordered here several times and they can’t seem to get anything right. It took forever to get the food and the delivery guy has the audacity to blame it on me that I didn’t give him the address correctly. ! Yeah Ok I told you what the suite was! The food is mediocre! there’s ABSOLUTELYNOTHINGSPECIALABOUTIT! People beware!!!

One of the many places to get a fat sandwich along Easton ave. conveniently located across the street from the exon in case you need to fill up on gas and purchase a fat sandwich while you wait, which happened to be my case. I never ordered from here before but when i came in and saw the cook flipping over about 20 pounds of bacon on the grill, i guess preparing for the day, i knew this place was legit. They do good job but for some reason they taste better from the trucks.

A relatively new restaurant on Easton Ave., The Hang Out may not look like much from the outside, and it is slightly cramped inside, but the food is far superior to anything nearby. The menu consists of your typical American grill type of food, and like many of the restaurants on Easton Ave., is run by some very friendly Arab owners(which is why some of the menu items are Middle Eastern). What makes The Hang Out stand out from the competition, is that although the food they sell is typically considered to be greasy and unhealthy, these guys manage to make it taste very clean, and light. For example, the fat sandwiches at the grease trucks are without a doubt, better than any other imitations in the area. However, The Hang Out gives a nice alternative to the grease truck sandwiches, in that the ingredients taste ‘fresher’, and the meats are much more tender. I particularly like their Fat Darrel. You’ll notice that their menu items are similar to what Nuebies used to offer, and that’s because the owners are the same. There is one menu item, that is only listed on The Hang Out’s flyer, and this is the reason I kept coming back to to them. If you want the best, most unique meal in New Brunswick, ask them for a ‘Tawook’, with no cole slaw, extra pickles, and extra garlic sauce. The Tawook is essentially made up of tender chunks of marinated, grilled chicken, wrapped in some toasted pita bread, which is stuffed with french fries, garlic sauce, and some cole slaw. I think cole slaw ruins the taste, so I always ask them to replace the cole slaw with pickles(which really makes it taste great). The garlic sauce is divine, and you are not going to find anything like it at any other nearby restaurant. The Tawook is as close to a proper Arabic ‘Shwarma’ or Gyro, as you’ll get in New Brunswick. Remember, it may not be listed on the menu, so you can think of it as a secret menu item, for VIP’s! There is a sign in the restaurant that says«Good friends gather here». That is certainly true, because I’ve spent many good times, with good friends, at The Hang Out. For desserts, ask them for their brownie(with ice cream, if available). It is pretty good too.
