This place is right out of Harry Potter movie. Even has a train running across the rafters. The food is solid. Amazing burgers and French fries. Calamari appetizer was delish. Prices were also very reasonable. A lot of food, and it was all pretty damn good.

I visited with some colleagues when we were in town for a conference, so we had to have our check split and alcohol on a separate tab. They were super helpful with the splitting, but– be warned– they don’t have print out receipts(which our finance department was a pain about)! Tumulty’s went above and beyond to help us, which was incredibly sweet and really, really appreciated. Also, the food was YUM! I had the veggie nachos and the double veggie burger and it was WAYTOOMUCHFOODBUTSOGOOD. Thank you, Tumulty’s!

I normally have a great experience here. This time, not so much. Walked in and the host didn’t even greet us. Younger guy. All he said was«how many?». Sat us. Kind of slammed down the silverware. Our server was just awful. Took about 45 minutes to get a check. I asked for some mayo for my sandwich took another 20 minutes. The food was, however, excellent! We will only return here if we get takeout. Worst service ever. Great food that never disappoints. Horrible service.

only giving a 4 because I haven’t had the food here. We stopped in for a drink because I’m a fan of eclectic bars and my boyfriend has been here several times and felt I’d like it. I thought the service was great and the IPA that the bartender said they make there is good. Patrick was our bartender and he gave us great service, was very attentive and whenever he had to leave the bar or was going to be busy doing something he made sure to check in with us, see if we needed anything and let us know he wasn’t ignoring us. it was late at night and he started the train up for me and even blew the whistle, I’m pretty silly and it made my night. We will be back!

I enjoyed the food, I had the beef stew and everything was tender and delicious. For the app I had the potato skins which is actually a baked potato cut with cheese and bacon. Our waitress forgot the wedge salad that comes with our entrée that I didn’t notice until we were on our dessert, which was the limoncillo marscopone, which was also very delicious. The atmosphere was nice for a pub, and the décor matched the feel of the restaurant(kind of a older look). Since it was a Sunday it was quiet, which was nice so the service was relatively quick and the waitress was really nice.

Good food, good drinks and the atmosphere was great. Came in for lunch during the work week and the server was TERRIBLE. Never brought us water when we asked. Failed to bring napkins when we asked. Failed to check in once throughout the meal. Debated walking out but as someone who worked in the food industry for 6 years I just couldn’t do it. I would come back but if got the same server I would walk right out.

The atmosphere was nice but the food was extremely bland and disappointing. We had the double vege burger and fish & chips. The fish was soggy and crumbling, burger was tasteless, service was slow.

I come here occasionally with my friends and we enjoy the Tuesday $ 6 burger night. I love the atmosphere. The dim lighting is nice, and there’s a toy train system that moves around sometimes, which is interesting… and it’s a great place to enjoy a meal with good company. It’s one of those spots you’d think back to when reflecting on old memories with friends.

Here is the story: You go out with your friends. You see a sign everyone wants to see: BUYONEMEAL, GETONEFREE! After having 14 people around a big table, and checking with the waiter if you understood the deal correctly and he answers«yes», the manager changes the rules on the fly to «one free meal PERPARTY!» Yes! He did it! A friend of mine and I went to manager’s desk and asked him how comes. He told us and I quote: «this is what the deal is. It is written on those papers over there» and he points to the deal boards. I took a picture of the board and you can see that the deal is «buy one, get one for free», nothing about«per party». After he saw us walking towards the board to check the deal, he started to explain why there is nothing saying a free meal per party with absolute none-sense sentences. Although we didn’t know about the deal before arriving there, he made me feel bad the whole night with treating us that way. It wasn’t about money. I still feel teased and ridiculed. I didn’t want to ruin everybody’s night so I didn’t ask my friends to leave. You can feel somebody is taking advantage of the situation when you find the small black board of the deals changed while leaving the restaurant. To be clear, the last phrase in the picture«(details inside)» had been added while we were having our dinner! P. S. To be fair, if it wasn’t for the fraud, the food was just ok(3 stars), and the service was nice(4 stars).

The worst manager ever! We had a very unpleasant experience, and have no plan to go back again, – very rude and arrogant manager, – the food was just ok – our waiter was nice, helpful and very understanding. If it was not for the way we were treated, I would give 3 for food and 4 for the service. Details: We went there on a Monday night with a rather large group of friends. There were two signs, outside and at the entrance, describing their special deal as «Monday night — buy one entrée, get the 2nd one free». When we settled and started to order, we were told the deal is only for one free meal per party. We asked the manager, and he said the condition was already mentioned on their sign. Liar! We showed him the sign didn’t have such condition, but still he refused to give us the offer with a very bad attitude. After 10 mins, he came to our table and showed some text/picture on his smartphone: «one per party!». God knows what it was, a random search on google image maybe!!! Anyways, this was definitely my worst restaurant experience in NJ.

The prime rib was ok. Could have been served a little warmer. The appetizers were good– had the bruschetta and stuffed mushrooms. The cheesecake was just cheesecake. Nothing special. Went here with a work group and had about 15 people. The waiter did an excellent job saving us in a timely manner. If I’m ever back in NJ I might stop in again.

After visiting this pub twice, I really have no desire to come back again. Maybe one day I will give it a try just for a drinks, but many times I enjoy a beer or drink along with a snack or burger to go along with it. I tried a few burgers/sandwiches before, but the flavors are either lacking, the buns are too dry, the meat is not satiating, or the combination of the burger is not satisfying! They give you a HUGE wedge salad, so if you even eat half of the salad you may be quite full. You def get the bang of your buck with extremely large portions here, so be careful to not over order. It has a dimly lit ambiance with many booths lining the sides. The high dividers tend to block off the sounds of other people’s conversations, but the background music can be rather loud and make it hard to converse with your friends.

Wow! We found a new place for food that is beyond words great. Friends of ours invited us to Tumulty’s Pub for dinner, you got to try it. I had the Prime Rib, it was amazing, did not think anyone knew how to cook prime rib any more. This was fork tender, juicy and flavor all in one package. I had the smallest size and it was more than enough. My wife had Steak and Guinness Stew Tender beef, potatoes, onions and carrots simmered with everyone’s favorite stout, topped with crostini, she liked it a lot, hot and fresh and enough for two people. My daughter had The Pub Dip Warm roast beef on french bread drizzled with garlic butter, served with au jus. She borought home as much as she ate. Sorry we did not have room for dessert. Can not wait until we go back.

This is a pretty good burger/sandwich stop for lunch. The service is quick and food is served fresh. Beware, the portion size is humongous! Every time I come here, I’m unable to finish my food because it’s so much! The other day I came here, I ordered Pub Style Fish & Chips. It was okay. The chips were good, but the fish was downright awful. I never had fish that bad before. It was nowhere near flavored right. I got sick of eating the fish after a few bites. On the other hand my friend ordered Pasta with Chicken. She was also disappointed with her food. She didn’t like how it was made. Dessert is always a wonderful affair here. If you order cake, it’s a regular sized cake. However, if you order the chocolate brownie, it is a never ending heavenly dessert. Definitely order only burgers or sandwiches because I feel the rest of the menu is not as great.

2 stars for the noise; 3 for the food(2 for my dish) and service. We were seated right next to the station where they threw(and I mean threw loudly) the dishes they cleared from all of the tables. Most of us ordered burgers which people seemed to like, although one burger was overcooked. I had the fish and chips which I regretted — not your pub-style, lightly battered fish but the kind you might find in the freezer section of the supermarket. Hard crust and dry, overcooked fish. Service was ok. They refilled our water glasses often and didn’t rush us out. To pay for your meal, you had to pay upfront. We had to wait for 5 tabs to be paid with credit cards. Maybe we came on an off night because the restaurant seems to be popular. I won’t be returning.

Came here twice for St. Patricks’s Day celebrations. When my friends and I stopped by on Saturday, we were kinda full, so we didn’t order entrée but just desserts and drinks. My jameson jolly rancher was so sugary and candy– loved it! My friends were all satisfied with their irish coffee or coca. Their cakes were awesome!!! $ 5 a piece and a good selection(at least on st. patrick’s day). We had three chocolate cakes, one bailey’s cheesecake, and one crème brûlée cheesecake. I loved the three chocolate ones we got– super fluffy, chocolaty, and smooth. So evil but so good! The second time I had a Shepherd’s pie, which is ok. I was kinda drunk to really judge my food at that point. But the band on St. Patrick’s Day and the atmosphere were excellent! I had so much fun that night!

Is this an Irish or English pub? Not sure, but there’s a shamrock on their crest so I’ve always assumed Irish. A mainstay in NB. The one thing that always throws me is the dimly lit dining & Bar? Are they just trying to save $? The obviously dated décor and stained rug would leave one to believe so. Lunch at around @ $ 10 for sizeable portions and weekly specials to fit the college student budget. Most of your typical pub grub minus«Sheppards pie» and that’s why I question it’s true heritage. Not really my choice destination for anything special including happy hour. The food is just ok. But when in NB especially for a newbie it’s worthy of a pop in.

Stopped by Tumulty’s for the first time in about 20 years. For those of you who might not know, the place is an institution. I honestly don’t know anyone who hasn’t eaten there and I live well over an hour from New Brunswick. The food is always quite good and reasonable and, while the service can sometimes be sketchy, you owe it to yourself to pay them a visit. When in the area it’s my go to place, has been for close to 30 years and will most-likely always will be.

4 stars for ambience alone. Such a warm, cozy place to dine. If they had a fireplace, Id never leave. I’ve been here before, but stopped in for dinner the other night. It’s on George Street in New Brunswick and if you didn’t know any better, you’d just stroll right by. Very unassuming spot. In the mix with a bunch of weird clothing stores and other random shops. The place is very inviting. Dimly lit and romantic. When you walk in, you’re greeted by a bar. We sat in the dining room though because we were here to eat. I ordered the Manleys Mess. It was ok. Lacked flavor in my option. Roast beef served open face with cheddar(couldn’t even taste any) caramelized onions. Served au jus, which was the saving grace here. Still, I needed to add salt for flavor, which I never do! I was worried the roast beef would be tough, but it wasnt at all. Just under seasoned. Meal came with a wedge of iceberg. Eh, it was a wedge of lettuce. Fries were tasty. Boyfriend got a burger and raved about it. His French onion soup was good! Love the atmosphere! Cozy little spot in New Brunswick!
