I’m from California and was in Jersey for 2 weeks on business. Ever since Harold and Kumar came out in 2004, I would always look for a white castle any time I was in a place that wasn’t the west coast. It wasn’t until now(11 years later) that I was able to find a bunch in the area! So I went to the Toms River location because of all WCs within 30 miles of me, that one had the best rating. Boy was I disappointed in that one, especially for my first time! So I decided to give WC another chance before going back to Cali. I drove 40 miles from my hotel because I had heard this was THE white castle from the movie, so I just HAD to come here. I decided to do the«30 slider in 30 minutes» challenge, but failed and only hit 18. But you know what? I ENJOYEDALL18SLIDERS! I even enjoyed the little fries I had, even though I’m not a fan of crinkle cut fries! My only gripe was that I had told the cashier guy that the Diet Coke he gave me was too watered down. *hint hint coming* Next time a customer tells you that, it would smart of you to change out the soda box because its obviously low. Maybe after that, give the customer a fresh new drink that doesn’t taste like club soda! Even with my complaint, I’m not marking the place down because I loved the food so much, and now I can leave Jersey on a happy note!

I have not been to a White Castle in years but little has changed. The White Castles, now called sliders, still taste delicious and they are still cheap. Unfortunately, they still do not seem to be able to make a milk shake that can be sipped thru a straw. The person at the drive in was pleasant and their parking lot is well organized. I mention this last point because a couple of the other nearby places, starting with the letters DD and H, are not navigation friendly.

It was my first time at a White Castle and the food was a big let down. I got the number 1 and my burgers had too much ketchup and mustard. The fries were also cold and not seasoned well. I’m still curious about this place but I won’t go out of my way to eat here. The location is also questionable as to whether or not you should be there at night. Overall, I’ll stick to the White Castle burgers in the frozen food section.

Sheesh! I’m amazed at all the five-star reviews for this place! It’s a fast food joint! But, I have to say, 24 hour service and pretty decent food at a good price, I can’t complain! Definitely fulfilled my craving after a LONG bus ride from Boston to NYC then the train from NYC to New Brunswick. The service was very quick and the food was oh so fresh out of the microwave. And honestly, I loved every DAMN bit of it! The White Castle is next to a McDonalds too, so it’s definitely a hard decision… you know, which food will clog up your arteries at a certain night.

I’m a jersey girl who lives in Pennsylvania !! When I visit the family you know I have to stop and grab me some White Castle burgers! They never disappoint me. Anyone who never tried I suggest you shall… The real deal has nothing on the frozen ones. Chicken rings with the honey mustard Clam strips with tartar Onion rigs with the zing zing sauce And of course a cheeseburger !!!

As a side note, it is an essential part of White Castle lore to remind everyone that this is THEHAROLDANDKUMAR White Castle. It is every bit the Burger Shrine. Completely unassuming, and in the ugly part of New Brunswick. Be sure to leave an offering of fresh Ketsup and a pickle to let the Chief Mahavishnu Burger know you appreciate his blessings. MAY6, 2015 — The Double Jalapeño Cheese was as good as the original with a bit of a kick. Derivative, but oh, so, good!

Love this place. They just recently had an SUV drive through the front of the building but they’re still open and doing a brisk business! We usually go through the drive-thru and this time was no different. A little longer wait than usual, but not awful. The newish guy at the window is pretty cool and gets our order right! Bonus! The food is typical White Castle, but definitely try the new grilled chicken sandwiches.

Takes a while to get the food because it’s freshly made after being ordered and it’s the only one in New Brunswick the food has always been on point A+
