Ummmmmmm, Hardee’s! When I moved from the south to New Jersey, the lack of a Hardee’s was keenly felt. So, we were excited to see this location open. Here’s the thing … New Jersey is great. So many culinary options here that you won’t find elsewhere. With that said, there are some glaring omissions. Among them is the fact that nobody in NJ can seem to make a damn biscuit. Now, Hardee’s … that’s a biscuit! Nothing like an epic piece of fried chicken, crammed in a biscuit, to start your day. Steak biscuit? OH, MY! Biscuits and gravy? Good grief! It’s breakfast heaven. A McMuffin? Are you freaking KIDDING me? That’s not breakfast, please don’t compare. Not getting five stars because(a) service is a little off that you’ll find at a location down south and(b) Hardee’s has never really figured out how to make an epic lunch or dinner menu. THIS is a restaurant that needs to do «breakfast all day»!

3rd times the charm. Tonight I tried the All-Natural Burger, double size. Again I ordered it without condiments because they use too much of them. That is a good tasting char-broiled burger they got there! Batter dipped Onion rings were good too. Double burger with cheese, onion rings, small drink $ 9.94. I’ll be back.

I was super excited to find out that a Hardee’s opened up in Jersey, not to mention it was in Central Jersey! My fiancé and I knew we had to try it out! I ordered the All-Natural Burger combo and my fiancé had the hand-breaded Chicken Tenders. I LOVED my Burger. From the warm, toasted, bun to the super-fresh ingredients on my perfectly cooked burger, I had no complaints. If I could make one suggestion, I wish that the patty was a little bit bigger. I’m not sure if the patty for all of Hardee’s burgers is that thin or if just for the all-natural but it was definitely much smaller than the other fast food chains. The fries were really good too! I tried my fiancé’s Chicken Tenders and they were great as well! We’ll definitely be re-visting this place! I hope more Hardee’s continue to pop up around Jersey!

It is going to be hard to recommend this place. First, due to the weird construction of the parking lot, you cannot make a left into the place from Somerset St. In addition, if you are doing drive thru, you cannot exit the lot from the place closet to the window since that is for entering cars only. Therefore, you have to drive around the lot to exit. If I am having fast food, I do so in large part due to convenience. This is not convenient. I had a chicken sandwich called the big fillet but it was mostly breading over a not so big chicken fillet. The fries were very tasty but that was because they were super-salted. That is not really a good thing. The best part of the meal was the sandwich roll. The bread was fresh and delicious. Oh yeah, and my soda consisted about 3 ounces of soda in a glass of ice.
