Great sandwich and service — and at a very low price(the half sub is more than enough!). If you are a local, you already know about Bubba’s, but for those of us who are visitors to New Buffalo it’s a great find. I had an Italian beef sandwich that was the best I ever had. Highly recommend. Bring the kids, too.

So happy that this sub shop has reopened. My favorites have always been the tuna fish salad sub and the veggie sub. I have tried both under the new ownership and they are excellent! I always order the smaller size sub and can easily save ½ of it for a later meal. The bread is fresh and perfect. Tuna salad mix is just how I like it. They are open to special orders and the cashier was very friendly. Updates to the outside and interior make for a clean and cheery atmosphere.

I saw this when I was doing laundry, next door. As they say, I was shocked by the price of a sub. BUT…B-U-T… I always have an open mind. I ordered their #1 seller, a Ky-Ky. It as salami, ham, turkey and Swiss cheese. Along with chips and a collection of drinks, they had some homemade pasta salad and some homemade desserts too. The Ky-Ky came on a French roll, crusty outside, yet soft and chewy on the inside. The meats and cheese were an inch think. The sandwich was dressed with some light veggies and some vinegar. It tasted like a sandwich i ate back in college. It was very good. Subway and Jimmy Johns… well, the bread is the star. Bubba’s allows thin slices of meat/cheese be the star. Did I mention that their sandwich was 1 inch thick of meat and cheese. This is a big sandwich, enough for two people. This is not something you will order everyday. I find it amazing that the Chicago yacht jockies whine about the price of a sandwich but spend $ 50,000 -$ 100,000 on a boat and even more on a summer home. People pay $ 6 for 2 scoops of ice cream at Oinks but the hypocrites don’t complain about this. Bubba’s is good. The Ky-Ky was a great sandwich not a breadwich like Subway.
