Is a chain and tastes like a chain. Muffins cooked in a commissary in NYC.

Very disappointing service. Once I ordered a cake and they called my to say that I had to pick it up in Greenwich because they were closed for some reason. Today, I went to pick up my special ordered cake and they told me that they had problems so I need to pick out a substitute cake. Will never order a cake from them again. NOTRELIABLE!

I keep trying Crumbs because I really want to like it, but the place is just kind of mediocre. The cupcakes are always dry and seem to taste relatively indistinguishable even though they’re all different flavors.

Im visiting family in New Canaan, bought a small chocolate cake today to take it to a dinner party. Paid $ 35+ tax. I was very disappointed. Didn’t taste good. Dry vanilla cake with lots of frosting, pure sugar and no chocolate flavor. Was embarrassing. Supermarket cakes are much better for half the price or less. I never had a cupcake in this place. May be Crums is for that, not for cakes.

Big butt Cupcakes with a big butt price. Still, can’t go wrong with more sugar and more chocolate can you?

Smug little outpost on New Canaan’s main street. I’ve been lucky because each time I’ve needed to get those huge cupcake cakes, they’re available! They cost about $ 35 and they always put a smile on people’s faces.(I mean, who DOESN’T like big ass cupcakes?) You can also have it personalized with short messages like«Happy Birthday», etc. I also love the box that they put it in; it’s so cute and very convenient to carry around. It weighs like, 5 pounds, so I just do a couple of arm curls with it, hoping that it’ll balance out the calories from said big ass cupcake.

Haven’t tried their desserts but their lemonade is great. Nice and refreshing. They even offer simple syrup to sweeten your beverage rather than just granulated sugar that never melts in cold drinks.

I haven’t had a bad cupcake here yet. Any time I find myself in CT I try to take a trip here. The only thing is that the place is a little pricey for cupcakes, but that’s something I’d expect in Fairfield county.

Pretty good chain of cupcake/coffee shops, but this particular location is weird. Despite high traffic, picking a fresh cupcake seems to be a crap shoot that often ends in a stale snake eyes. I’ve come to realize, however, that you can’t go wrong with the cupcake of the day/week. Overall, not spectacular.

Crumbs is still good. if you like super-sweet big cupcakes, these shops seem to be popping up all over the country now. Much smaller shop than the other CT locations so far, no seating — purely take-out… so many cupcakes, its hard to make a choice . The«Brownie» cupcake was a bit disappointing — flavor was just not too good, kinda of flat and bland. The Angel Food cake we had was very good though — slightly larger than a cupcake and covered with chocolate. great flavor, and a good spongey angel food mini bundt. it was late in the day, but the cupcake shouldnt have been so blah. My iced coffee looked like it had a teaspoon of coffee grounds in the bottom — pretty nasty. note: for some reason Unilocal thinks this is in Fairfield, and I cannot change that. It is indeed in New Canaan.
