Patio is charming. Inside is always dirty floors. Got my drink with sticky stuff all dripping down the side of the cup. The line shape and length can be annoying at this location. Wifi was slow.

The employees move at a glacial pace. Frustrating when you have a train to catch. Not very clean either.

I normally wouldn’t ever care enough to write a bad review, but I’m hoping the manager maybe reads these every so often. Dude. I’ve lived in New Canaan my whole life and for as long as I can remember this Starbucks has been bad. My only conclusion is that I think it’s very poorly managed and the staff doesn’t get trained properly. As someone mentioned, shout out to the rare barista who’s genuinely great at his job(I think his name is Jed?) He should be manager instead, maybe then it would be less consistently terrible.

As Starbucks’ go, this one is high-functioning, clean and attentive. Big shoutout to the barista with tons of energy and pizzazz – I can’t help but smile at your enthusiasm!

I would give this location 3.5 stars. There’s not too much bad to say about it, but not a lot to praise about it either. The patio is definitely the best thing about this Starbuck’s outlet. Even though it was Sunday morning the line was not too long, nor was the wait. I usually order a Tall in a Grande cup to leave room for cream(and save a bit of money) and the barista got It just right, which I appreciated. I was also happy that their specialty brew didn’t require a drip, and the self service station was well-stocked and clean with none of the cream pitchers empty(as is a problem at a lot of Starbuck’s locations). It’s a pleasant downtown and the Starbucks is at a good location to enjoy people watching. The patio was so nice I was able to basically ignore the homophobic Australian and his dog who stated loudly his opposition to gay marriage(the Aussie not the dog), at the next table. And no dude you’re nowhere hot so get over yourself!

Chilling on the patio with your frapoyummy on a nice summer day. Yup, life is good at the NC Starbucks. They have plugs outside on the patio, so you can charge your gadgets. Limited seating inside, compared to other SB’s, but not a big deal if the weather is nice. Line can get long after school hours, or the train just dropped off some passengers.

I agree with the previous poster about the location being both good and bad for this Starbucks. It is above average compared to most others I’ve been to!

RUDESTAFF, SLOWSERVICE! It takes 10+ minutes in the morning to get a coffee when there is NO line. Staff is rude, will ignore you before acting very annoyed and inconvenienced by having to take your order. The chick who is extra rude and short with customers has her ghetto boyfriend loitering inside for her whole shift. He stares you down in his do-rag while you order and wait. No one should have their boyfriends/girlfriends hanging out 2 feet from the register while working, It’s been bad for years. Starbucks should be ashamed of the service and staff here!!! BOOO!!!

The location of this particular Starbucks is both its best feature and its worst. When it gets really busy the line can stretch out the door, and Starbucks are generally a bit under staffed as it is. I used to commute from the train station across the street from this location, and whenever I would stop in I was always amazed to see customers blaming the baristas for things that were well beyond their control. On top of that, this location is also near a school so if you intend to stop in on an afternoon, make sure you do so before school lets out so you don’t get caught behind the Frappuccino thirsty children. A tip to get the best drink out of any Starbucks, just order an Americano. Its always going to be the best coffee drink as it’s made on demand and doesn’t break the bank

Easily the nicest Starbucks I’ve seen in a while. Driving from NYC to Boston, we stopped off here. The place was beautiful and clean, the sugar and milk stand was actually organized(unlike the ones in the city) and we’ll definitely be making this our go to Starbucks for those road trips.

For a Saturday evening at 6pm the place looked as though a the 3 garbage bins in the place exploded. There were not very many shops around the area open, and there was no line when we walked in but still the place looked as though a bus of high school kids had just buzzed through. We sought out this particular location as they are one of the few in the area with a clover machine. To say our experience was disappointing is an understatement. We both thought the Clover machine was supposed to give us a better coffee experience but the lack of knowledge from the staff didn’t give us high hopes.

Love the very relaxing outdoor patio… across the street from the rail station, and in the heart of the quaint village. Just loooove. PS kiddie corner to Johnson’s 1997 Glass House

This Starbucks in conveniently located, as is usually the case. However, I was surprised that they didn’t have two of the items I asked for. Madeleines and pumpkin loaf — found at every Starbucks. Service was a little aloof. There was a long line on a Wednesday afternoon — around 3. It seemed that service was too slow.

Very disappointed… drink was bad, service was slow, and the sugar/milk service station was so dirty(overflowing trash bin) that it was just disgusting. I hope they improve… I really miss my Starbucks in DC.

the line is always out the door, the service takes forever, and they are rude! they never make the right drink and even told me to just take the drink that they made me cause it’s close enough… not acceptable. stop giving your money to this filthy place and go to dd or z.

Brick-based patio seating, solo spots for the lone rangers at a narrow window bar with a peering window view. A few tables and chairs for lingerers, readers, and friends. Music typical of any Starbucks establishment, funky upbeat and not too loud. Typical selection of baked goods. Attentive and friendly staff. Droves of kids flock here after school to socialize over hot chocolate and fraps.

Go away and shut down the dump. RUDE staff, dirty floors, bees on the outside patio. At least the Dunkin Donuts down the street is faster, cleaner, friendlier!
